They have held the National T-20 cup in Multan, early on we had high scoring games with the outfield and the pitch being fast but now after a week it is clear that the pitches have slowed down.
This is what the groundsmen when you ask them why is Pakistan not able to consistently produce batting pelters that you see in India say, its because the PCB ruins the grounds by running them through the ground by constantly playing so much cricket on the same ground, pitches leaving them very little recovery time and breathing space
Why couldn't the PCB have chosen to spend some more money given they are spending so much on broadcasting where the games could have been spread out to be played at the National Stadium, Qadhaffi Stadium, Rawalpindi, Multan Stadium and perhaps one more to test it for PSL purposes. Yes i understand that its not easy to transport so many different commentators, officials, players and to lodge them in different hotels and that logistically it would have been a challenge as well and would have driven the cost through the roof and have led to a longer tournament with more rest days in between but if we want to produce more quality in our domestic cricket then we have to spend on it properly and not think about cost saving.
