Is Mike Hesson suited for Pakistan's limited overs coaching?

Bouncers. Beamers. Yorker Shoaib Akhtar rips apart Mike Hesson

Requests Mr Naqvi to slay the hammer on him

Also the captain does not justify his place in team.

what the mgmt was doing from last 15 days today they themselves have been proven wrong. they should be made accountable for their blunders.

Great coach

He’s done brilliant work with Pakistan.

Don’t even think about removing him. He’s sincere towards our cause!

Who’s going to replace Hesson if he’s removed!l?

Basit Ali??

Tanvir Ahmed??

Saqlain Mushtaq??

Mohammad Hafeez???

Rashid Latif????

Which Chawwal would you rather have????

I don't believe selecting Babar was Mike Hesson's decision. As someone who values data and numbers selecting Babar goes against everything a coach like Hesson stands for. Yesterday you finally felt like it was a team selected fully by him.

Let’s remove Hesson and make the “underrated” Abdul Rehman coach

Then what?? Rizwan becomes captain of the T20i side again???

Bruh Shut up all of you!

We don’t want your medieval mindset in white ball cricket. Pakistanis in general are clueless about modern whiteball requirements. Just sit down and sip your tea on TV. Carry on barking about this and that!

Hesson has got the right idea. He stays!

These idiots learn nothing from the past. If only it was as simple as sacking a coach. Pakistan would be a world-beater team by now.

Bakhri revealed it was indeed Hesson and Agha who convinced Aqib straight after Asia cup to bring in Babar.

Hesson is slightly guilty of this.

I love Hesson but I can’t overlook this. He overestimated Babar’s value in T20.

Well if that's the case then it's a pretty big blunder by him. As is over-estimating the value of Nawaz and Shadab, although the numbers did back those selections. Still he needs to stay on till 2028 and be given a free rein if they want their cricket to improve.

100% he stays

Even in 1 year I have seen excellent progress under him from a batting pov.

His bowling strategy needs improvement. You can’t become an elite T20i side without 5 proper bowlers

How about tanvir Ahmad 😂

Will be doing Babar Babar through out his tenure

Who will knock some sense into him that his obsession of playing fraud all rounders has been total disaster

Sometimes I think it’s best to expose frauds by giving them the reigns.

Salman Butt has the biggest mouth and is always running agendas against Kirsten/Hesson level coaches.

Give this Besharam the reigns and watch how stupid he will look with his ideas on the world stage.

It happened to Hafeez didn’t it?

These clowns are just talking and running there agendas

For their beloved besharams

Hafeez fastest motormouth whenever he gets a TV gig.

In his tenure, Sahibzada Farhan batted at 7 and Haseebullah opened in that game.

It shouldn't even be up for debate that he stays. Have Pakistan fans learned nothing from everything that’s happened over the past two years? With the constant churn of coaches and unending instability that has created

If you want Salman Butt to rate you as if you are Quinton DeQock or Rohit Sharma level…

All you have to do is do a couple of training sessions at Ghani institute where he is the director of cricket.

They are out for him because he has basically humbled and neutralised Babar and Rizwan. A lot of these ex cricketers barking on TV against him most likely have some kind of stake with Rizwan+Babar in the limelight for Pakistan.

Stick with Henson and let him rebuild the team get rid of ttfs and invest in new players and show some patients after losing one series all ttfs comeback this has to stop if they are not good enough and are dropped what have they done to reclaim their place back in the team young players and domestic players who toil year after year are wasted because they don't have political connections we hear we have no talent in domestic setup let's give people a chance to see what we have give top performers a chance if they are no good move to the next one we can't go round and round with these losers

Hesson is trying to create 15 players out of 11 players in the end, but he is getting 7 or 8 players at most. As a coach, you should know who the bowlers are most likely to complete 20 overs beforehand. There were matches where Faheem did not bowl a single over. Shahheen bowled just 2 overs. In the Asia Cup, Nawaz hardly bowled as India had a lot of lefties. Gauti is also guilty of this. He has severely weakened the batting unit in the name of having a versatile bowling lineup.

He is trying to create a team of all rounders... Just another branch of Islamabad united with core player like Shadab, salman, faheem etc

Ya.. he should know the USP of each player accurately. He is currently overrating some players massively. He needs a much stronger threshold to play someone at batting positions like 5, 6, etc. At 5 and 6 you either need genuine all-rounders or batting all-rounders. Not bowling all-rounders. Imagine David Miller is sent by SA at 6 and Pakistan sends Nawaz. When SA was 20/3 Miller came and rescued them. In similar situation pakistan would have sent SHadab India would have run through them in a jiffy.

Agree, I know Hesson maybe over analyze things and made some mistakes, but from the team selection to the 15 that where selected for this world cup, I do not think he had the exact players he wanted and the exact 11 he wanted to play, with the exception of the last match vs Sri Lanka.

Basit ALi speaking on social media:

“I have no regrets and there’s nothing to be ashamed of. If Pakistan had scored 65 runs instead of 36 in those final overs, they wouldn’t have been eliminated from the semis.”

“They worked harder. Their mindset when it came to cricket was just stronger.”

“He openly said that Babar lacks intent in the powerplay and his strike rate is so low. If he’s not suitable after 10 slow overs, then why was he selected in the team? Who picked him, and who’s going to hold the head coach accountable?”

“I’ve said this on TV before — don’t bat Babar at number four, that spot just doesn’t suit him. You can’t even make that sacrifice — that the guy should come in at number three and score runs. So, your intentions weren’t right.”

“The England match we lost — Abrar wasn’t there. Today, Usman Tariq got hammered, but Abrar needed to be there. These are the things I never forget. When it comes to cricket, it’s my habit to make detailed notes — if I showed you, it’d fill pages.”

“Seriously — have some shame and give some real advice for the country,” he said. “You’ve represented this country. Is this what we get?”

“This Pakistan team seemed more like a franchise cricket team to me. Whenever the coach interferes in picking the team, this is exactly what happens. Don’t call it Pakistan’s team. Call it Mike Hesson’s team.”

“Chairman, surgery is needed. Bring in good people. Keep good advisors. Your cricket won’t improve in a year. Bring in people who have good service records, who understand cricket, and who can take your cricket forward at the junior level, step by step.”

“If your system gets strong, cricket will get better — otherwise, it won’t.”

Keep him until 2027 WC

But I hope he have learnt his lesson of keeping clown and fake all rounders

Bring proper players with their proper roles

Before taking a call on his future, I hope the PCB realise that they are not spoilt for choice in this matter. I quite like how he is going for his vision with what.. let's face it, a sorry bunch of international players.

Exactly. He tried something, it failed, now try something else. The way I see it, atleast he is willing to take his vision to the end and isn't just trying to play it safe collecting monthly cheques.

What makes you think whether he will want to continue with your lowly set-up? The audacity of our corrupted wiring…..

I think he’s made a lot of poor decisions. Too much liking for allrounders, poor team selection, bringing back Babar, persisting with Agha as captain etc. Not to mention poor decisions at toss. Not a fan of shadab playing as a batsman either.

But overall I do see Pakistan progressing. So I do think we keep him.

Just need a personnel change. Agha needs to go as does Babar. And I think for now Saim shouldn’t open. I think it will be a lot easier to manage this team if these changes are made.

He has to stop this filling team with these fake all rounders

Bring players with proper roles
