One of the reasons the 2017 India-Australia series is one of my favorites test series in recent memory is because the high-quality and competitive nature of cricket was backed by equally confrontational attitudes on the field...from both sides. Besides a select few; Ashwin, Pujara, Rahane every player was saying something or reacting to something in the heat of the battle. And that just made the cricket all the more entertaining.

It's hilarious seeing Pakistan fans mocking the teams being nice to each other. Firstly our players don't even have the social skills to behave in such way as all they can is " I respect him because he is a senior player or he is a world class player". Uh I don't think the game has been all that nice lmao. Players are playing with real intensity. There is mutual respect. That's about it. Just because they don't sledge right up to their face or swear like McGrath and Donald used to doesn't mean they are both being 'nice'.

1. Labu relentlessly being in Gill's ear for 2-3 overs from short leg. Even sledged him, when Gill was at the non-strikers.
