Since I have been watching the game this has to be the least exciting Pak side I have witnessed. There is a complete lack of dynamism in the side. Full of average players we have no fast bowlers, no world class spinner and no late order hitters to cheer for. Even our stroke players are nothing special...no Yousaf, Inzi or anyone of that quality anymore. Not that our fielding was ever great to begin with but this team has even bought that to a new level of misery.

Previously I never missed a Pak one day match due to the excitement factor, in the recent series I couldn't be bothered watching such a pathetic missing three out of the five matches. Who else agrees that this is the worst Pak one day side they have seen?. Oh I forgot to add that half of the team seems overweight or carrying injuries.

Nah worst was from the Aus tour of UAE in 2012 to the champions trophy 2015.

In that period we had the likes of Farhat, Asad , Azhar , misbah and so on around the team only dynamic batsmen we had were occasional innings by Umar and afridi

Missing Sohail Tanvir, Zulfiqar Babar, Bilawal Bhatti, Tanvir Ahmed etc.

No it isn't we have exciting players like Babar,Sharjeel,Sarfraz,Imad,Hasan and Amir.

Shahjeel khan, Babar, Imad and Amir are exciting players.

Obviously they may not always perform but you can't say they are boring to watch.

There was once a side which had Shehzad, Hafeez, Asad, Younis and Misbah as your top 5, the only 'dynamic' players were a hit or miss Akmal and Afridi at 6 and 7.

So no this is not the most boring LOI team we have assembled, but it is right up there.

2013 CT side was pretty dire as was the team between July 2002 and the 2003 World Cup.

+1

During the CT and the odis vs Ireland which preceded the CT Pakistan had a batting lineup of something like:

Farhat
Jamshed
Hafeez
Shafiq
Malik
Misbah
Kakmal

Even Umar Amin was in the squad back then.

At least now there is Sharjeel, Babar Azam, an inform Malik, Umar Akmal etc.

No fast bowlers, no late order hitters and no world class spinner. Exciting my you know what!

I also used to miss lots of sleep watching Pak matches , which come late night here in USA, but lately have been sleeping well knowing the result of the ODI in first 10 overs and there was no reason to watch likes of Azhar, Hafee, Malik , and Shafiq.

Exactly, a younger me would have watched all the Pakistan matches come hail or high-storm, but now I watch the first 10 overs if we are bowling for Amir and Junaid/Hasan, or if we are batting then the fireworks that Sharjeel produces and the class that Babar oozes. After that I shut off the telly and go to bed knowing full well what to expect in the morning.

The younger guys deserve a go it will be exciting to watch how they get on. I would like to see this lineup.

1. Sharjeel Khan
2. Fakhar Zaman
3. Babar Azam
4. Haris Sohail
5. Sarfaraz
6. Aamer Yamin
7. Khushdil Shah
8. Imad Wasim
9. Amir
10. Hassan
11. Junaid
