he can when in rhythm .. he is still not in full rhythm and also from the way i see it no indian bowlers are given the license to go all out. That would also be a factor.

I am guessing as the series goes on he would hit 88-90 with a few balls but wont do so consistently as our blokes are not used to the chill. If the temp is about 20-22 he would be good else he will slow down with the cold :))

Hes like Gul, bowls the good odd spell here or there. Still not consistent enough - anyway the end of this series will tell us how much he has developed.

And thats not even including Amir/Asif, who were recently banned.

Or Akhtar who recently retired.

London, UK. An unidentified and suspected English cricketer has thrown a Kolkata Knight Riders’ t-shirt in the hotel room of Ishant Sharma, team sources inform. Team management believes that this has been done to “mentally injure” the Indian fast bowler and further deplete team India, which has already lost some key players due to injury and ill-health on its England tour.
Ishant Sharma had a forgettable stint for KKR in the first three seasons of IPL, where he couldn’t perform well despite being trained by Wasim Akram, a fast bowling legend. However, Ishant was a completely transformed bowler in the fourth season of the IPL after he left KKR.
“It is clearly an attempt to depress Ishant by reminding him of his KKR days. They want to push him in a corner where he starts doubting his own abilities,” Indian team manager Anirudh Chowdhary alleged, “This is not in the spirit of the game and we will complain to the higher authorities.”

Experts believe that such performances by Ishant in the IPL completely confused him about the realities on the ground
Sources inform that the Indian team management is planning to write a letter to Prince Charles regarding the incident.
“Charles is hardly in news these days as the only Prince people seem to care about these days is Williams and his new family after the Royal Wedding. BCCI is hopeful that Prince Charles will feel good and honored by this gesture and might take some steps to punish the erring cricketers,” our source said.
It’s not yet clear if it was some English player or someone else who threw the KKR jersey in Ishant’s hotel room, but needle of suspicion in on England players, especially on Matt Prior, who kept on addressing Kevin Pietersen as K.. K.. K.. K.. Kevin in the first innings when Ishant Sharma was bowling.
Ishant went wicketless after conceding 128 runs in 32 overs in the first innings while Pior and Pietersen were involved in a 120 runs partnership.
“I don’t know what he did or said again in the second innings, but we suspect it’s him as it halted Ishant’s onslaught after he came out to bat,” a member of Indian team management told Faking News on conditions of anonymity.
Experts point out that such strategies to upset cricketers from the rival team during their stay at hotels are not new.

Akhtar is retired so he doesnt count....

Amir and Asif are banned out of the game.......

Ajmal is a spinner....

How many tests have Tanvir played......if he is counted,then i guess Praveen Kumar's avg of 23 makes him better than Akhtar.

So your defence is full of holes....

Guys, i think Ishant bhai was misquoted here. I think he originally meant "I want to bowl 100 kph." It's possible.
 
He was bowling plenty of pies at 80mph today. Ran in just before the new ball was being taken and got up to around 84, but he has been a typical Indian trundler in the last few games. Time to get realistic, Ishant.

This guy is going backwards, was down to the low 80's today.
 
Speed is just a small factor. He does not swing the ball no more - he used to have a proud seam with big inward movement. That's gone so he now looks very ordinary.
 
There is more chance of this thread hitting 100 pages than IS hitting 100MPH.
 
ishant sharma has just announced that he will emulate akhtars off field behavior in an effort make the 100mph. Such activities include chasing munaf with a bat. Going full maa ki aur behn ki with Bhajji. He is currently trying to attract the opposite sex with akhtar style airplane poses outside BCCI head quarters.

Seems to be a bit of a choker, every time there are high(ish) expectations from him, he fails to deliver.

Absolutely hilarious; can forgive Shastri to an extent and put it down to a heat of the moment thing but Sunil actually had the time to pause, look at the speedgun and yet he still made a comparison to WI LOL. I also liked the fact that he couldn't think of an alternative to fire haha.

Or perhaps it was just a case of the BCCI roundtable deciding on indoctrination through lies that day. :ravi

He seems to be liking the number 100 alot :P Giving away 100s of runs, bowling 100s of over, etc but doesn't seems to be getting his bench mark :P

He was MOS in West Indies and said all those things like "I know now how to ball", "I was trying to copy Zaheer Khan" So much for being so honest. He says funny stuff when he gets wickets. I guess he is a humble lad.

I guess bouncy wickets help him, other than that he can't swing the ball at all..He just seams it

Why is Ishant rated so highly among Indian fans? They were talking about his performance in Australia some 5 years back, I thought he may have averaged in low 20s, surprise surprise he averages 59.66, with England series over he averages a little bit better in England with 58.18.

Hope Varun Aaron doesn't turn out to be another Sharma, I like the kid's bowling action.

152.2 and counting.. From Ishant to 'Isshannt' has added 10 kmph to his speed. Who knows anothe a added in between to make it 'Isshaannt' could see him cross 100 mph :)

Also, is this the quickest a human being a bowled without eating meat? :P
 
Got a bad feeling (from a Pakistani prespective :) ) that Ishant may one day hit that 100 MPH mark, Sehwagg said it was possible for him to hit a 200 and just like this thread he was ridiculed by a lot of Pakistanis for making that statement and to the shock of many Pakistanis now he HIT THA 200 :D... Sooooo beeeee warned, it is a strong possibility..
 
I think Afridi will hit 100mph before Ishant does :))

This happens everytime someone goes to Australia, the pitches are genuinely quick, just look at Ishant the last time he came teh Australia :P

My anology is how fast Ishant was before he went to Australia the first time, and whe he came back people were talking about him being a 150+ bowler.

The same cycle is satrting again.

he had bowled over 140 k with fastest being 147K against WI in tests in India last month.

Well at least Ishant took 2 wickets for 91 runs for the match. Not the worst performance ever.
 
its the pitches...lots of bowlers go to aus and touch 150kph..like yadav, sharma and m. aamer in reality these bowlers are generally 138-145kph bowlers, decently quick but not express

even siddle is in the same league, a quick bowler but no where near express
