Ishant Sharma support thread

Ok, Can't believe there is a thread like this.....I just stated that in one of the other thread on ATG Ishant

Ishant is an enigma. He is still pretty young actually and fitness wise, a freak of nature.

I felt sorry for the stick Pony :msd got by Indian fans as he knew the hidden talent Ishant possessed

I hope they hang their heads in shame.

#IbelieveInIshant

I have always shown remarkable guts in supporting true talent when the world would turn their backs on them due to tough times.

Vice Captain of India. :)

What a proud moment! Congrats man.

I think its smart move by India, Ishant at time shas bowled complete rubbish for which a cricketer should never be pardoned, even though he has good potential.Added responsibility might actually help Ishant with his bowling.

Bowler with most potential in the last decade, no doubt (after Amir and Asif). I still remember that beautiful slower ball he bowled to knock back Misbah's stumps in the December series. I bet that ball would still be faster than Shami's faster one, please keep that hack out.

Has definitely improved by leaps and bounds in the last 5 years, and this promotion to vice captaincy will only motivate him to improve. Can be one of the best India has produced.

Ishant.jpg

Comfortably among the best bowlers for the last year.

Wonder why he was dropped from the side for the final test?

Greatest pace bowling legend.

Close this thread.

Legends don't need support.

They command respect and awe.

Ishant does that and I am proud of him.

I don't think Kohli likes him, he didn't pick him after becoming Captain officially. Ishant is a workhorse, whenever thrown the ball, bowls in a consistent line and length, Aussie commentators were praising him, especially Haydos. The guy is a must in Aussie pitches, he looked more threatening than Johnson this series.

I have a feeling Ishant might be the deciding factor in this match. I can sense it from the fire in his eyes today.

12/3 Ishant

47/6 Sri Lanka.

Ishant is a quality bowler on good surfaces.

He is hurting them.

Dhammika has retired hurt and out walks Rangana Herath
18.3
I Sharma to Prasad, no run, leg slip and short leg in lay straight away. Dhammika has been rapped on the glove, and he is hurt. He is in lots of pain. Already had been struggling with a neck injury, and now his left hand has taken a beating. Ishant goes for the bouncer, and it is angled in at the lower-order batsman, who is late to realise the threat and cant duck, who then follows the ball with his hands and tries to fend it away. Saves his wicket, but he is in considerable pain. Its the fingers of his left hand, ball hit him flush there. Physio has come out and an ice-pack is being used

:holding :holding

What is he trying to do?

He has been bowling pretty well for a while now. Good to see him turn it around after the 2012 season where he averaged 70+ with the ball.

Best fast bowler in subcontinent. Also the most good looking and manly.

Does anyone else think that Ishant is looking a lot more toned? He has been consistently bowling 140s in this series after a while.

And what did I keep telling you guys?

Ishant when he gets in mood is GONNA MAKE YOU RUN CRYING TO YOUR MOMMA.

Match winner!

8,wickets contributed in India's first test series win in 22 years. Intimidated Lankan batsmen with pace and aggression. Congrats on 200 wickets. Going for another 300.

He's been very good for the last 10 (ish) test matches - lets see if he can keep it up though.

Our test performance has been poor, especially overseas but we are not that bad . :)

While India's struggling against South Africa, our #1 pacer is nowhere to be seen. Such a shame.

Firstly, his new hairstyle is the bomb. Someone please post pics.

Secondly, he's bowled really well. If only the pitches were pacers friendly.

We should all be humbled to be present in and witness the era of Ishant Sharma. This absolute legend should have his own subforum on Pakpassion.

Great support guys. Keep it up.

Bit disappointed the hash tag #iBelieveInIshant got removed Green roars what happened there bro?

Anyway guys keep it coming. Honest triers need all the support they can get. If the pitches were flat remember it would have been Ishant and not Ashwin who would have won matches for India. Never forget the legend of Lords! :)

The greatness of Ishant Sharma's bowling cannot be described in words..... His mere presence behind a TV screen can set up wins for India let alone him being actually present on ground.

I read a stat that he has the least wickets taken by any specialist bowler playing on his 75 th test.

The Legend is backk !

This time without the scary hair, but still terrorizing batsmen around the world !

How tall is he? Looks 6 ft 5 easily.

Bowling pretty well.

I think he is 6'4" or 6'5". He has all the attributes to be a top bowler. But we all know the rest ....... He is still an asset in test cricket and has performed well in the last few years.

From 2011-2014, he become a joke bowler. Everyone was smashing him. In the last 3 years though, he has turned a new page in his career. He is more menacing than before. He was instrumental in some of India's famous victories.

All this being said, he is only 29. He seemed to be in international cricket for eternity now. He still has a good 3 or 4 years left in his tank.

Now playing in County for Sussex

He has scored 66 and taken one wicket - whilst Mohammad Abbas has 2 wickets.... nice little competition here :)

Pujara, on the other hand ran himself out. He's playing for the best team in division 1, if he doesn't up his game, he could get chucked out.

Pujara isn't as important for the England tour as Ishant is, the man, the myth the legend

He is a brainless bowler. With little bit of thinking he would have had a far better career. He never thinks. He is like Wahab Riaz. Lot of wicket taking ability. But never bowl the right ball at the right time.

True legend, opposition batsmen in the county circuit will be having nightmares at the prospect of facing the Ishant and that scary glare. :ishant

66 runs and Two wickets for Ishant today, let us see how many wickets he gets tomorrow.

Ishant is a match winner. His spells have won more test matches for India than any other fast bowler since Zaheer Khan. I blame Indian cricket for not handling Ishant well and giving him supportive home pitches and opportunities to grow as a fats bowler and gain that much needed confidence.

After Sreesanth, Ishant has been the brightest pace bowling prospect produced by India and till now no one has come up who's better potential wise.

So Ishant picked up another wicket today, can anyone stop this behemoth? :14:

For that, he might actually need the support and confidence from Junior Akmal rather than BCCI :uakmal

I doubt he will start versus England.

Certain starter. He's been outstanding as a third bowler. Keeps things tight and offers control. Averages a very respectable 30 over the last three years. Bumrah would be the other certain starter. Shami, Bhuvi, and Umesh to jostle for the third place with Bhuvi being favorite. Hardik the allrounder.

Or the team management could go with 4 genuine pacer and dispense with Hardik but that would be conditional on batsmen being in form. Unlikely in the first test at least.
