It's a very balanced side, strong batting and bowling. Good spinners and pacers. Recipe for becoming the champions again.

They can play any time their franchise wishes to activate their contract. It's not dependant on others getting injuries or departures.

Islamabad, 07 February 2020 – Islamabad United, the winners of the first and third editions of the Pakistan Super League and the most successful team in PSL history, will be replacing Rassie van der Dussen (the 18th pick in the PSL 5 Draft) with the English batsman, Dawid Malan.

Malan, currently ranked number 5 in ICC’s T20I Rankings for batsmen, has become a regular for the England national team over the past six months. In 9 T20I’s he has one hundred and five fifties while scoring at a strike rate in excess of 150.

In addition to his international exploits he finished as a top-5 run scorer in both the Vitality Blast and the Bangladesh Premier League over the past twelve months, including scoring hundreds in both tournaments. Prior to joining Islamabad United he has played in the Pakistan Super League for Peshawar Zalmi.

Yes. I think Rumman is pretty good at the death however, their next match is in Lahore where I think another spinner (Zafar Gohar probably) to replace Amad Butt might do them good considering the pitch we saw today. I am not sure how they will be able to adjust Rumman for Lahore as Akif and Musa both bowled well but if it would have been in Karachi then it was a no brainer to have Rumman over Amad. Obviously something to think about for IU.

Musa was pretty good upfront and got 3 wickets. Unless he is benched for Steyn when he joins it wont make sense.

Also if Amad Butt would have been in any other team his position wouldnt have been under threat after one match but IU already has Faheem and Shadab to create batting depth so Amad can be benched. I dont like judging anyone based upon one or two matches but its a tough competition and IU has the luxury of 2-3 all rounders.
