That last shot from Ahmed indicates his ability against pace - then he'll find a way to get out against medium pacers .....
 
Hoping PSL has the same effect on Shafiq that IPL had on Gambhir.


Those who have been watching cricket since before 2008 can attest to the fact that Gambhir was the nudger and nurdler of the ball while Sehwag was the designated aggressor, but after the IPL Gambhir became a very aggressive bat who would generally give India a very fast start.

I can remember that India vs Pak test match where a rookie gambhir was matching sehwag's stroke play. Both of them were going at a run a ball and had a partnership of over 200. Sehwag later said he hasn't enjoyed opening as much as he did that day with Gambhir.

shafiq getting a 50 last game was the worst thing to happen to Quetta, he wont be dropped now.

Not saying Amin is anything great but he offers more in everything.

Moh Irfan Jr. is a bright young guy. Good pace, good height. Just needs to work on his fitness. He's genuinely one for the future, trust me. Lets hope he's managed well. IU needs to roll him in so he gets to work with Wasim Akram. That would change his career.

Other than that, Amad Butt has looked good. These guys are still pretty new so its too early to write them off given their talent.

Are you sure he is 150 clicks?? - I missed his bowling earlier in the day, will check the replay...

M Irfan Jr, needs to change his action, horrible Sohail Tanvir style action is no good at all. His pace will remain in 120s, somebody needs to work on that ASAP...

Rest nobody touches 140, forget about 145 or 150 :((
 
As I said yesterday, Shezad can only wack spinners, he is dud against seamer, which we saw once again ;-)

Not true, Amir, Bhatti, Wahab and Sami all touched 145 or greater.
 
I thought Shezad went out, so it was Shafiq, yah all the same...
 
Mel Jones just called Shehzad one of the best in the business.

I don't think he even touched 140 today bro. But I mean he can in the future. That much is evident. At 18, it is close to impossible.

None of them are new, only Sami hits 145... When I say hitting, I meant avg pace not once in a while... Amir is 140 avg, Wahab is 143, only Sami is 145... We need two 145 avg pace seamers to make Pakistan back on the map, along with two 145 SR batters against seamers, all 4 slots are open and we are at no 8...
 
Couple of boundaries that have gone Raees's way should've been stopped.

It's all well and good talking about talent but if you've ever watched any of the masterclasses those two have done you will realise how much of their success has come from hard work and thinking about their game.

Yah i agree , talent alone cant take you to the heights they have achieved but apart from that these guys are supremely talented. Top two of the last 20 years

Don't get too sad. Take the example of Hasan Ali. He was bowling early 130's last year and this year he is bowling in the early 140's and that too with good line and length. This what happens when you work with good coaches, have a nutritionist and keep track of your fitness and hit the gym.

The same can be done for Mudassar. I'm sure of it. He's a definite 150 KPH guy. Just needs some help from PCB or his franchise.
 
IU bowling is very strong, Irfan, Sami, Badhree and Shadab...Probably best in the league... It will be difficult chase
 
Can you imagine how long the speech will be if Shehzad gets a fifty ? KP will have to wrestle the mic away again.

Actually he did get a fifty last match that is why he gave "qaum se khitaab"

I don't rate Hasan Ali much, he is barely OK...Amir is rubbish, rather than going up has come down... We need Strac, Rabada kind of bowler, a world class bowler, rest will keep us float at no 8...Hasan does not have that potential, he is too short to be world class, he can be useful medium pace and that's about it...

Pakistan could make Irfan (both of them) use their height better...If we cannot produce 150 clicks seamer, user 6'10" seamers to full potential(they need to be fit first), you have to have something to be world class... We need to have one of those strategy working, right now we have neither pace nor height :((

If Shezhad gets a fifty he'll stop the match during his celebration, call for a mic and start giving a speech right there in the middle of the pitch.

Shehzad's problem in with placement - he is naturally a player who loves to play on grass and is one of the best timers with every shot in book, but placement in the improvement area. Also, at times, tries to hit it too hard.
 
Shehzad needs another chance. Drop Hafeez and Asad and Azhar and you'll find plenty of vacant spots.

Well Pakistan wasted Irfan, second is going in same direction, that's very poor management... We lost 2 top seamers in 2010 and now 145 SR batsman, both again very poor management... No focus on pace skills(batter or bowlers), again headless organization, they have money but no vision and planning...

Yes ? I don't hate Shehzad at all if that's what you're inferring. If he can sort out his strike rotation issues, footwork against seam/swing, scores consistently in domestic, and there's no attitude issues by all means bring him back.
 
Shezzy seems very angry for some reason. Normally wouldn't have a go at KP like that. Not a good move for his PR Twitter stunts.
