Those debutants and changes is what caused us to win the CT 2017, and those changes can't do worse then what we currently haveGranted, but then do you seriously believe that a squad with multiple debutants and changes made on the eve of a WC is also going to succeed?
By your analogy - if the kid needs to re-sit the exam the very next day, you don't sit down and teach them the entire syllabus in 24 hours. You work with what they already know and try to maximize marks to get passing marks.
Fakhar has been out of form for an entire LPL? And that transitioned into the afg series and Asia cup?How many matches has Salman Ali Agha been out of form for? And Fakhar?
It's so ironic that at the end, you speak about giving an EXTENDED RUN to players lol
Bhai do you even read what you write?
And there-in lies the issue. This new wave of excitable young kids need to tone it down a bit.No one is forcing you to back the team.
However, it is hypocritical that if only certain players were included you would support them and then support the team.
Since they are not included, you dont support the team anymore.
That means you don't support Pakistan.
You support the players who make up the Pakistan team.
No two ways about it.
You are not the first, and you won’t be the last. Pakistan team is not your jaageerdaari, where what you think will bring out the best for the team.I back Pakistan
I want the best for Pakistan
For the best to happen, Pakistan must lose
So I’m not backing Babar and his besties, but I’m backing Pakistan (long term)
Who is specifically targeting you? And who are you if they are a different type of fan?And there-in lies the issue. This new wave of excitable young kids need to tone it down a bit.
Sarfraz fans don’t like this team.
Amir fans don’t like this team.
Imad fans don’t like this team.
Umar Akmal fans don’t like this team.
Fair enough, you disagree with the squad but now that it has been selected you either back them or you leave us the hell alone so we do not have to read your thousandth post about ‘if Amir was playing, he would pick all eleven Indian wickets’.
These are young kids who don’t really follow cricket much and watch some shady journalists on YT, then come and post that rubbish here for attention seeking.
They also do not want to admit that our talent pool is laughable, and for them Sarfraz, Amir, Imad etc will make this team ‘world-class’.
@Markhor summed it up quite well.
Totally agreeI back Pakistan
I want the best for Pakistan
For the best to happen, Pakistan must lose
So I’m not backing Babar and his besties, but I’m backing Pakistan (long term)
IronyWho is specifically targeting you? And who are you if they are a different type of fan?
It’s the World Cup season
It’s the reality of life
It’s cricket
Stop whinging
He won’t face the axeBabar got the team what he wanted . Time to deliver now or face the axe
Why should I? He is always dominating in them so it gets boring. Then you should watch sarfraz domestic matches dont watch the wc then ok
Beautiful post. As long as Babar is captain, as long as Sarfraz is kept out unjustly, as long as the drama bazi keeper is still there and as long as Misbah's spirit remains in the dressing room, I a patriot cannot support such filthI back Pakistan
I want the best for Pakistan
For the best to happen, Pakistan must lose
So I’m not backing Babar and his besties, but I’m backing Pakistan (long term)
I don’t think it’s about “certain players”. Give me something decent. And there-in lies the issue. This new wave of excitable young kids need to tone it down a bit.

@Markhor summed it up quite well.
Keep crying because Rizwan is here to stayWhy should I? He is always dominating in them so it gets boring.
However when Rizwan gets thrown back into domestics for good please enjoy his batting for me
Keep saying that, as if you know God’s planKeep crying because Rizwan is here to stay
Unlike that yawning wicketkeeper whose time is over
Abdullah and saud will come good, this is the only part you and I disagree on.I don’t think it’s about “certain players”. Give me something decent.
3 specialist batsmen (We know abdulllah and saud won’t get a game) that are not even in form and all play the same game.
And they all play the same way with only Fakhar when in top form (not now) the differentiator.
Then you give me a list of fake allrounders who are not good at either discipline and have repeatedly failed recently.
And the bowling you bring back a TTF.
You want people to back this.
It’s not about Amir, Imad and co. I’m not even a big fan of Imad and Amir I’ve been vocal doesn’t deserve a place when we have a fully fit line up. Even if not Imad or Amir, think out of the box. Instead we get the perceived “safe options” who are not actually safe, they are predictably mediocre.
You announce a team of failures and you expect everyone to be fine with it?
You guys are just throwing your toys of your pram that some people are not joining you in the delusion that this team has any hope of making the semis let alone win the tournament.
Don't worry Sarfraz will be back very soon and when he is you will be grateful. Might not see it now but boy do we need himKeep crying because Rizwan is here to stay
Unlike that yawning wicketkeeper whose time is over
Yeah he has proven himself everywhereKeep saying that, as if you know God’s plan
Soon he will be kicked out of test teamDon't worry Sarfraz will be back very soon and when he is you will be grateful. Might not see it now but boy do we need him
Anyway for Rizwan he can captain the KP domestic side until he retires, suits him better
Keep saying it, like you all did in Test cricketYeah he has proven himself everywhere
And is here to stay
In Test as well?Soon he will be kicked out of test team
Then you can watch him playing Karachi domestic side
Rizwan is here to stay boy
Yeah keep hating him he will silence his critics with his batKeep saying it, like you all did in Test cricket
Yeah sarfraz time in test is also over nowIn Test as well?
What about Rizwan acting like Kareena Kapoor every time he is apparently injured?Lol at safraz his even more pathetic than Babar pants like a dog after taking a quick second run.
Sarfraz in his come back series scored 139 runs in the first test (2 innings)Soon he will be kicked out of test team
Then you can watch him playing Karachi domestic side
Rizwan is here to stay boy
Deserves an emmy for those performances and an Oscar for his ICU stuntWhat about Rizwan acting like Kareena Kapoor every time he is apparently injured?
He is the reason a great captain was removedWhy are you guys so against rizwan. He isn't even the worst of our problems, he's just an okay bat.
Shadab, Nawaz, Agha and chacha are the bigger nepotistic problem along with fakhar poor form.
That's false. He is the reason a great captain was removed
He is the reason why stat padding has become our culture
He is the reason we lost the 22 Asia Cup
He is the reason why Saim Ayub and Azam Khan wont for-fill their potential
He is the reason why we were humiliated by England 3-0
Are the names you all mentioned also part of the problem? Yes of course, however the root of the issue stems from Rizwan being a puppet of Misbah who in turn used him to destroy the foundations of what could have been a world class team
A) You are correct in saying that however it was him who Misbah chose and as such he burdens that responsibility. He could have easily refused to be a pawn in Misbah's scheme, showed character and stand up for Sarfraz however he never did and used Misbah's grudge to build his own personaThat's false.
A) he isn't the sole reason why sarfraz was removed. Misbah was always looking to remove sarfraz and to permanently remove sarfraz you needed another wicket keeper and that keeper was rizwan. To my Knowledge rizwan was a scapegoat, rizwan is a Part of babar's friendship 11, he wasn't per say involved with the whole misbah dilemma, misbah would have chosen any WK over sarfraz lol, Misbah always disliked sarfraz the sarfraz > Nasir jamshed was a forced change in 2015.
B) that's false, stat padding was always a culture since the 2012 to 2015 days of misbah. The reason it got removed in 2017 was because hafeez, Haris sohail, Malik and imad occupied the middle order with an inform fakhar at the top. Azhar Ali wasn't a stat padder but he was an accumulator and Babar always slowed down for his milestone since his debut. After these guys retired or were kicked out, every player that's replaced them is equally an accumulator. Rizwan isn't selfish, he's limited but he doesn't deliberately slow down for his milestone like babar does.
C) Agree on this part.
D) Azam Khan already bats in the lower order and in the afg series he was brought on, rizwan wasn't even in it, azam got dropped for haris and rightfully so in that series, although I have hated azam before he has proven me wrong in the latest tournaments, still we'll see but azam isn't a better keeper then rizwan or haris, not is he front line atm. Both haris and sarfraz are favoured over him and rightfully so.
Agree on the saim ayub part though, however tbf, blame babar as well, not just rizwan. Babar is more so to blame in this regard then rizwan is.
E) False, England butchered all of us and exposed the problems in the team in general.
Rizwan isn't the sole problem, he's a contributor to the problem but not the entire reason like you're claiming it to be.
Atm fakhar is a much bigger problem due to lack of form, Shadab is the biggest nuisance in the squad along with nawaz. Our middle order is an even bigger concern then the top order, since imam, Babar and rizwan are superior to our middle order atm. Our middle order is a complete and utter joke and is arguably the weakest middle order in the tournament excluding minnows. Even then given how mujeeb and rashid bat, our middle order is the 2nd weakest in the tournament minus nedtherlands.
He was given a let off by MendisThe way rizwan manhandled the Lankan bowlers the other day no current Pak batsman can play that innings (maybe Fakhar on his day) even the dreadful Ifty at the other end felt like devilliers.
I suggest stop day dreamingSarfraz in his come back series scored 139 runs in the first test (2 innings)
Rizwan in 3 test matches and six innings scored a total of 141 runs and made Anderson look like peak Steyn on the dead pitches of Karachi
The cold hard truth is Rizwan will soon be booted out of both the ODI and T20 team and be relegated as an assistant coach for some second XI domestic team
A) Broskie you're digging too deep. He was asked to open, no player in the world would have refused lol, and if you set your bias aside, he's actually done extremely well at opening. Problem with rizwan however is that of he and Babar don't do well then game over because they take to let loose.A) You are correct in saying that however it was him who Misbah chose and as such he burdens that responsibility. He could have easily refused to be a pawn in Misbah's scheme, showed character and stand up for Sarfraz however he never did and used Misbah's grudge to build his own persona
B) Again who clearly identify that the stat padding culture was removed from 2017 onward however it was bought back in full flow the moment Rizwan played that fluke innings in New Zeland, making himself a permanent opener and blocking any path for actual openers in the form of Sharjeel, Khurram Manzoor or Fakhar
D) If Rizwan had played that series his performance would have made Azam's look legendary. If Azam was given a longer rope into the NZ series guaranteed he would have outperformed Rizwan both with the bat and gloves. It's a myth that Rizwan is some great gloveman. All he does is tumble around and adds some extra stunts into simple takes thus making it look harder than it is
E) Maybe so however their were movements in the series were Pakistan could have put their noses ahead of the game and each time Rizwan failed to help in any way. Looking at the stats of that series, everyone had scored some sort of vital runs, everyone except Rizwan who would play dot after dot, building pressure and then throw his wicket away while doing some drama
He didn't manhandle the bowlers. He played no differently to how he usually plays, which is accumulating, beating up the weak link bowlers and then scoring doubles and triples. The way rizwan manhandled the Lankan bowlers the other day no current Pak batsman can play that innings (maybe Fakhar on his day) even the dreadful Ifty at the other end felt like devilliers.
They can possibly make semi's, it'll be difficult though.Gullible green tinted fans as always falling so easily for Pakistan’s ranking in T20Is and ODIs. Their delusional Bhangra doesn’t stop there. They start twerking when they see the ranking position of Babar and Rizwan, who according to some are “2 of the best 5 white ball batsmen in the world”. You really couldn’t make it up.
Let’s also not forget how bad Pakistan were in the last WT20. We keep hearing “they made the final”. Yes they made the final because they got an easy group and even then they lost to the mighty Zimbabwe. Other than New Zealand and South Africa they didn’t beat any other decent teams on the way to the final.
There’s no chance Pakistan will make semis with Babar as captain and also due to the atrocious team selection that has been made.
Best to keep expectations at an all-time low this time round. I promise the heartbreak that’s due to come will be easier to handle. Don’t keep your hopes when you know the outcome is inevitable.
You are giving your time to a poster who has picked Danish Aziz in his World Cup XIA) Broskie you're digging too deep. He was asked to open, no player in the world would have refused lol, and if you set your bias aside, he's actually done extremely well at opening. Problem with rizwan however is that of he and Babar don't do well then game over because they take to let loose.
Rizwan didn't use to be a problem. He was and still is an okay bat, nothing spectacular but not too bad either. The reason why many have Started to hate him is because he, Shadab, Shaheen and Babar are golden boys where fair selection criteria does not apply to these lads, he's basically held the team hostage due to the influence that babar gave him, but misbah was not the one who gave him that influence.
I've read rizwan's old interviews, he was happy batting anywhere the management asked him including 6 and he didn't xomplain once during those times, however in recent times over the past 2 years he's not developed a superstar ego to the point that he whines if he doesn't get to play in his favourite positions and Management glady gives it to him because he's the golden boy.
Hate rizwan as much as you want, but don't speculate, the misbah thing ain't his fault lol, although the golden boy and current whining nonsense is, he thinks he's too big a player and world class just like how Babar deluded himself to think he's > kohli, and shaheen thinks he's no 1 fast bowler and shadab thinks he's top world class spinners. Basically way in over their heads.
2) sharjeel wasn't ever going to play again because he sold his country, his matter of not getting selected has nothing to do with rizwan and khurram manzoor is a terrible bat lol. He was never up for selection by our selectors. The fakhar thing is babar's fault for pushing fakhar one down. Fakhar use to open with sharjeel, and then after sharjeel got banned, fakhar would either open with babar or Imam but Imam proved to be useless in t20. Babar took fakhar's spot after withbrizwan opening because misbah didn't care about fakhar and wanted sarfraz gone.
Although again in current terms I agree because as it stands rizwan would whine if his precious opening spot is gone.
You're equating past and present fam.
3) Broskie rizwan is a genuine gun keeper, he's actually really good at keeping and has genuinely saved boundaries since his Athelitic abilities have prevented our bowlers accidentally bowling bouncers and those bouncers going onto the boundary over the keepers head.
I've seen azam Khan, dude is a terrible keeper, azam Khan also played before the afg series, and he performed poorly. Dude isn't international standards. Might as well compare with haris. Don't look at framchise cricket, even shaheen smacks and scores at no 3 in franchise. Azam Khan has list a stats of 32 I believe. He ain't an odi player.
4) I have looked up the stats of that series and no one is playing any differently. Babar is still accumulating, rizwan is still acummulating, Imam is still accumulating and vise versa. Rizwan actually plays faster then babar and imam lol.
Broskie hate rizwan if you wish but don't outright lie about him. As I said he's an average bat and has insane ego, that's his issue atm.
Babar, Shadab, Rizwan and shaheen are being given special treatment and their egos are their downfall. Shaheen is ironically the worst of our trio, Rauf and naseem are better, Shaheen is still a good bowler though.
Rizwan is an average bat but he thinks he's the next best thing etc etc.

Why are you having such a negative perception about them? Let them play a few matches in WC and then you can make a better judgment.Looks like they are about to serve some World Cup to their opponents
I don’t understand why there is a need to mention players who have fixed matches, done their time, repented and moved on by @MajorWhy are you having such a negative perception about them? Let them play a few matches in WC and then you can make a better judgment.
Apart from one poor performance in the Asia Cup their overall performance was quite commendable.
Yep, if you keep creating a divide, don’t expect fans to back this teamWe can just simply support the team. That is the least thing we can do as a fan. There is no need to discuss any player whether he is a fixer or not. Just forget te old times and stay hopeful for bright future.

I'd rather take match winning fixers over serial match losers who laugh like clowns 24/6 and whose whole career is based on removing some of our finest playersYou are correct, but fixers and convicted players must stay away and more so the imbeciles who call for the return of fixers into the team!
Thats because you were very young or probably did not watch cricket back in 2010.I'd rather take match winning fixers over serial match losers who laugh like clowns 24/6 and whose whole career is based on removing some of our finest players
Why are you only unhappy with Markhor? Are you implying others that want Amir in the team are low class??Thats because you were very young or probably did not watch cricket back in 2010.
Many of the posters around here in 2010 remember clearly the embarrassment that Pakistan had to face.
First of all, let me remind you that when the 2010 England series squad was announced, many people said this was the worst ever squad announced. Pakistan under Salman Butt was soo terrible as a batting unit that they were getting out for less than 200 scores. Pakistan was not even able to bat for a full day, i think it once only once in 8 innings that they somehow manage to bat the whole day.
Now when this was happening, yes there was criticism, but there was no one said this that Pakistan should be banned or not be allowed to tour to England etc. It was accepted that ok bad performances is part of the game.
Few weeks later, when Amir, Asif and Salman Butt were caught fixing around, a whole havoc broke. The other day one poster @saqib.rai was saying that ohh there is a big difference between match fixing and spot fixing. No there isnt. A person can match fix a game in favor of their own team winning, that would still be a fixing. The issue with fixing (whether match or spot), is that once it take places, it brings the whole credibility of the game in doubt. Credibility matters. There is a thread on india vs sri lanka game where many indian posters were not happy, and the reason was they did not like that the creadibility of the game was in doubt, because it brings shame for the whole nation.
While Pakistanis are ok with insulting their nation and doubting its credibility, our so called Pakistani fans dont care and are so used to insulting their own country and its representatives.
Anyways, when the spot fixing event took place, and Amir, Asif and Butt were caught with their pants down, there were calls from prominent cricketers that Pakistan cricket should be banned. Indian experts were calling out for our banning. Insults were being thrown, players like Jonathan Trott was picking up fights and insulting us aswell.
I as a fan used to wake up every day early in the morning to watch the first session. Now looking back i feel so stupid, because Amir had ruined tha credibility by trying to make extra bucks for bowling no balls on purpose. It brings a doubt for me that the game i woke up early to watch, or some crazy fan that took off from work or school, finds out that the games whole credibility was in doubt and it could be that they were playing to lose.
So before coming here and saying like a child that, "Oh i would take match fixers over honest players that end up losing", remember those dark days. When such an event God forbids happens again, than you would know the shame it brings. How Indian fans and experts will take that opportunity to insult and ask for banning of Pakistan cricket. Even New Zealand beer companies were using us in their advertisements. Thats how embarrassing spot fixing and match fixing is.
This is why i was very unhappy with @Markhor when he wanted amir to be selected. He was there. He saw what happened the day the NOTW report came out. I will never forget that night.
The match in which Amir and Asif bowled the no-balls, Pakistan WON that match. That is what ultimately matters.Thats because you were very young or probably did not watch cricket back in 2010.

And? It's still an embrassment for the Pakistan nation lol that your captain, your leader is a match fixer with bookies lol.The match in which Amir and Asif bowled the no-balls, Pakistan WON that match. That is what ultimately matters.
Credibility, credibility kar rahe hoo. Where does this credibility go when sifarshis are made part of the team and even made captain? And as a result we end up losing important ICC events?
Amir and Asif have completed their sentence of 5 long years- dont have to remind them everytime of what they did in the past.
There are degrees of a crime and punishment is given accordingly. You cannot get a life imprisonment for beating up someone but will get 6 months or a year in jail in the UK.
ICC knows this. That is why Amir and Asif got 5 year bans and were NOT banned for life. IF THEY HAD DONE MATCH FIXING, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR LIFE.
In my opinion, if they had done match fixing, they should have been shot in the head. Literally. That is how bad a menace match fixing is.
I remember waking up early to watch Hong Kong Super Sixes in 2010. Even if Australia hit all the balls of the last over for maximum (maximum was 8), Pakistan would have still won. Imran Nazir started bowling wides and no balls and also conceding maximums. Shoaib Malik was the captain. Pakistan lost.
Shoaib Malik was being investigated by the ICC and that was he reason he was not part of the 2011 World Cup squad. However, it's very very hard to find proof. These bookies are very smart.
But the match in which Amir and Asif did spot-fixing, WE WON. That is what ultimately matters.
Mate I dont know what match you were watching, but in the one I watched, we got thumped by an innings and 225 runs. Link to the scorecard below:The match in which Amir and Asif bowled the no-balls, Pakistan WON that match. That is what ultimately matters.

I don't watch FULL test matches because at that time I needed to get an education, and now I need to workAnd on that note, I have a question to you. Did you watch the match yourself or was this fact picked up from some FB post supporting the return of Amir?
Genuinely curious since I keeping coming across such facts again and again in different forms and all of these are not true.
