Those debutants and changes is what caused us to win the CT 2017, and those changes can't do worse then what we currently have 😂.

Fakhar has been out of form for an entire LPL? And that transitioned into the afg series and Asia cup?

Just need to find the right balance. Our bowlers can bat so that's a plus. We bat deep till 9.

Shaheen and even rauf aren't mugs with the bat.

Just need someone better than shadab. Our top 3 is the main issue but batting was never our strength anyway. We are entirely dependent on our bowling. Let's hope they fire us into the KOs and from there it's anyone's game.

Under Babar, they knocked out india twice in 2021 t20 world cup and 2022 asia cup. Made Ind VS pak level playing field which was otherwise complete domination under dhoni. The brand of cricket exuded hardwork, professionalism and unity. I see PAK going to semi final. Its anybodys game on knockout. Had middle order batted better or shaheen not injured, it would have been different result against England in world cup final. Had hassan ali taken the catch, 2021 semis result would have been different. Some conserative captaincy decisions coupled with badluck meant, babar could not cross the final hurdle but his tenure has provided existing career from 2019 to till now.

The best thing to do is to support the team now, Naseem’s departure has addled a lot of brains or maybe some of you are delusional enough to think Amir would be better than Naseem?
 
The least we all can do is to support our team with whatever resources they have. There is no use of crying over spilled milk now right. Have some faith and pray that Pakistan do well.

Let's see how it goes as Babar has backed the players on his own terms. It means that Babar will be taking the responsibility in case they fail again.
 
Backing Pakistan no matter what. Will be watching Pak vs Aus or Nz in Bengaluru ( Depends which ticket is available closer to the event). We need to admit that this is our best 15 men squad, there is no Akram or Miandad in our domestic who could replace them. Let's stop our individual agendas for now and support your team. Time for all social media armchair experts to stop putting unnecessary pressure on players calling them as 'Parchi', 'Friends 11' and what not.

Beautiful post. As long as Babar is captain, as long as Sarfraz is kept out unjustly, as long as the drama bazi keeper is still there and as long as Misbah's spirit remains in the dressing room, I a patriot cannot support such filth

I don’t think it’s about “certain players”. Give me something decent.

3 specialist batsmen (We know abdulllah and saud won’t get a game) that are not even in form and all play the same game.

And they all play the same way with only Fakhar when in top form (not now) the differentiator.

Then you give me a list of fake allrounders who are not good at either discipline and have repeatedly failed recently.

And the bowling you bring back a TTF.

You want people to back this.

It’s not about Amir, Imad and co. I’m not even a big fan of Imad and Amir I’ve been vocal doesn’t deserve a place when we have a fully fit line up. Even if not Imad or Amir, think out of the box. Instead we get the perceived “safe options” who are not actually safe, they are predictably mediocre.

You announce a team of failures and you expect everyone to be fine with it?

You guys are just throwing your toys of your pram that some people are not joining you in the delusion that this team has any hope of making the semis let alone win the tournament.

Abdullah and saud will come good, this is the only part you and I disagree on.

Firstly saud has Massively improved his game since he made that atrocious 50 in odi, and was pretty much a Wall in test. Now he scored a 200 at a low position something babar has yet to do

His ceiling will only continue to improve, the man is a natural when it comes to absolutely bullying spin and smashing it to the boundary, although against fast atm he's pretty much an accumulator but give it time.

Abdullah was playing in a situation where he was just told to open in a pressure game against a side that dismantled India batting line up and under the impression that if he fails he's disposable. He has frequently shown to dominate in psl and adapt to t20 style and he's shown he is far superior to imam in test when it comes to defending, accumulating and accelerating. He hasn't bloomed in odi because our captain is clueless and biased. But even in his odi game he showed the ability to casually come down the crease and hit for a six.

I'm not saying he'll be a jos butler type striker but give him time and he'll become a haris sohail type player. Haris sohail in his first few games was also an accumulator before transitioning to a we'll rounded striker. Just like haris initially, Abdullah was playing for his position, blame the management not him, if he didn't perform and started striking and not accumulating, he'd be given the tayyab tahir treatment and every poster on this forumn would call him a hack 😪.

As I said give it time and hope babar someone loses his captaincy for good.

Rizwan is currently superior to Sarfraz I agree. But that's not an achievement. Sarfraz is old, unfit and at the end of his rope, and he still managed to replace rizwan in test lol.

2015 sarfraz is superior to rizwan as a batsmen. However as a keeper rizwan is superior I agree

Sarfraz in his come back series scored 139 runs in the first test (2 innings)

Rizwan in 3 test matches and six innings scored a total of 141 runs and made Anderson look like peak Steyn on the dead pitches of Karachi

The cold hard truth is Rizwan will soon be booted out of both the ODI and T20 team and be relegated as an assistant coach for some second XI domestic team

He is the reason why stat padding has become our culture

He is the reason we lost the 22 Asia Cup

He is the reason why Saim Ayub and Azam Khan wont for-fill their potential

He is the reason why we were humiliated by England 3-0

Are the names you all mentioned also part of the problem? Yes of course, however the root of the issue stems from Rizwan being a puppet of Misbah who in turn used him to destroy the foundations of what could have been a world class team

That's false.

A) he isn't the sole reason why sarfraz was removed. Misbah was always looking to remove sarfraz and to permanently remove sarfraz you needed another wicket keeper and that keeper was rizwan. To my Knowledge rizwan was a scapegoat, rizwan is a Part of babar's friendship 11, he wasn't per say involved with the whole misbah dilemma, misbah would have chosen any WK over sarfraz lol, Misbah always disliked sarfraz the sarfraz > Nasir jamshed was a forced change in 2015.

B) that's false, stat padding was always a culture since the 2012 to 2015 days of misbah. The reason it got removed in 2017 was because hafeez, Haris sohail, Malik and imad occupied the middle order with an inform fakhar at the top. Azhar Ali wasn't a stat padder but he was an accumulator and Babar always slowed down for his milestone since his debut. After these guys retired or were kicked out, every player that's replaced them is equally an accumulator. Rizwan isn't selfish, he's limited but he doesn't deliberately slow down for his milestone like babar does.

C) Agree on this part.

D) Azam Khan already bats in the lower order and in the afg series he was brought on, rizwan wasn't even in it, azam got dropped for haris and rightfully so in that series, although I have hated azam before he has proven me wrong in the latest tournaments, still we'll see but azam isn't a better keeper then rizwan or haris, not is he front line atm. Both haris and sarfraz are favoured over him and rightfully so.

Atm fakhar is a much bigger problem due to lack of form, Shadab is the biggest nuisance in the squad along with nawaz. Our middle order is an even bigger concern then the top order, since imam, Babar and rizwan are superior to our middle order atm. Our middle order is a complete and utter joke and is arguably the weakest middle order in the tournament excluding minnows. Even then given how mujeeb and rashid bat, our middle order is the 2nd weakest in the tournament minus nedtherlands.

They start twerking when they see the ranking position of Babar and Rizwan, who according to some are “2 of the best 5 white ball batsmen in the world”. You really couldn’t make it up.

Let’s also not forget how bad Pakistan were in the last WT20. We keep hearing “they made the final”. Yes they made the final because they got an easy group and even then they lost to the mighty Zimbabwe. Other than New Zealand and South Africa they didn’t beat any other decent teams on the way to the final.

There’s no chance Pakistan will make semis with Babar as captain and also due to the atrocious team selection that has been made.

Best to keep expectations at an all-time low this time round. I promise the heartbreak that’s due to come will be easier to handle. Don’t keep your hopes when you know the outcome is inevitable.

A) You are correct in saying that however it was him who Misbah chose and as such he burdens that responsibility. He could have easily refused to be a pawn in Misbah's scheme, showed character and stand up for Sarfraz however he never did and used Misbah's grudge to build his own persona
B) Again who clearly identify that the stat padding culture was removed from 2017 onward however it was bought back in full flow the moment Rizwan played that fluke innings in New Zeland, making himself a permanent opener and blocking any path for actual openers in the form of Sharjeel, Khurram Manzoor or Fakhar
D) If Rizwan had played that series his performance would have made Azam's look legendary. If Azam was given a longer rope into the NZ series guaranteed he would have outperformed Rizwan both with the bat and gloves. It's a myth that Rizwan is some great gloveman. All he does is tumble around and adds some extra stunts into simple takes thus making it look harder than it is

The way rizwan manhandled the Lankan bowlers the other day no current Pak batsman can play that innings (maybe Fakhar on his day) even the dreadful Ifty at the other end felt like devilliers.

A) Broskie you're digging too deep. He was asked to open, no player in the world would have refused lol, and if you set your bias aside, he's actually done extremely well at opening. Problem with rizwan however is that of he and Babar don't do well then game over because they take to let loose.

Rizwan didn't use to be a problem. He was and still is an okay bat, nothing spectacular but not too bad either. The reason why many have Started to hate him is because he, Shadab, Shaheen and Babar are golden boys where fair selection criteria does not apply to these lads, he's basically held the team hostage due to the influence that babar gave him, but misbah was not the one who gave him that influence.

I've read rizwan's old interviews, he was happy batting anywhere the management asked him including 6 and he didn't xomplain once during those times, however in recent times over the past 2 years he's not developed a superstar ego to the point that he whines if he doesn't get to play in his favourite positions and Management glady gives it to him because he's the golden boy.

Hate rizwan as much as you want, but don't speculate, the misbah thing ain't his fault lol, although the golden boy and current whining nonsense is, he thinks he's too big a player and world class just like how Babar deluded himself to think he's > kohli, and shaheen thinks he's no 1 fast bowler and shadab thinks he's top world class spinners. Basically way in over their heads.

2) sharjeel wasn't ever going to play again because he sold his country, his matter of not getting selected has nothing to do with rizwan and khurram manzoor is a terrible bat lol. He was never up for selection by our selectors. The fakhar thing is babar's fault for pushing fakhar one down. Fakhar use to open with sharjeel, and then after sharjeel got banned, fakhar would either open with babar or Imam but Imam proved to be useless in t20. Babar took fakhar's spot after withbrizwan opening because misbah didn't care about fakhar and wanted sarfraz gone.

Although again in current terms I agree because as it stands rizwan would whine if his precious opening spot is gone.

3) Broskie rizwan is a genuine gun keeper, he's actually really good at keeping and has genuinely saved boundaries since his Athelitic abilities have prevented our bowlers accidentally bowling bouncers and those bouncers going onto the boundary over the keepers head.

I've seen azam Khan, dude is a terrible keeper, azam Khan also played before the afg series, and he performed poorly. Dude isn't international standards. Might as well compare with haris. Don't look at framchise cricket, even shaheen smacks and scores at no 3 in franchise. Azam Khan has list a stats of 32 I believe. He ain't an odi player.

4) I have looked up the stats of that series and no one is playing any differently. Babar is still accumulating, rizwan is still acummulating, Imam is still accumulating and vise versa. Rizwan actually plays faster then babar and imam lol.


Broskie hate rizwan if you wish but don't outright lie about him. As I said he's an average bat and has insane ego, that's his issue atm.

Babar, Shadab, Rizwan and shaheen are being given special treatment and their egos are their downfall. Shaheen is ironically the worst of our trio, Rauf and naseem are better, Shaheen is still a good bowler though.

Rizwan is an average bat but he thinks he's the next best thing etc etc.

He didn't manhandle the bowlers. He played no differently to how he usually plays, which is accumulating, beating up the weak link bowlers and then scoring doubles and triples.

It was a good innings but manhandling is going to too far, manhandling is what Butler does on his day lol.

2) sharjeel wasn't ever going to play again because he sold his country, his matter of not getting selected has nothing to do with rizwan and khurram manzoor is a terrible bat lol. He was never up for selection by our selectors. The fakhar thing is babar's fault for pushing fakhar one down. Fakhar use to open with sharjeel, and then after sharjeel got banned, fakhar would either open with babar or Imam but Imam proved to be useless in t20. Babar took fakhar's spot after withbrizwan opening because misbah didn't care about fakhar and wanted sarfraz gone.

Although again in current terms I agree because as it stands rizwan would whine if his precious opening spot is gone.

3) Broskie rizwan is a genuine gun keeper, he's actually really good at keeping and has genuinely saved boundaries since his Athelitic abilities have prevented our bowlers accidentally bowling bouncers and those bouncers going onto the boundary over the keepers head.

I've seen azam Khan, dude is a terrible keeper, azam Khan also played before the afg series, and he performed poorly. Dude isn't international standards. Might as well compare with haris. Don't look at framchise cricket, even shaheen smacks and scores at no 3 in franchise. Azam Khan has list a stats of 32 I believe. He ain't an odi player.

4) I have looked up the stats of that series and no one is playing any differently. Babar is still accumulating, rizwan is still acummulating, Imam is still accumulating and vise versa. Rizwan actually plays faster then babar and imam lol.


Broskie hate rizwan if you wish but don't outright lie about him. As I said he's an average bat and has insane ego, that's his issue atm.

Babar, Shadab, Rizwan and shaheen are being given special treatment and their egos are their downfall. Shaheen is ironically the worst of our trio, Rauf and naseem are better, Shaheen is still a good bowler though.

Rizwan is an average bat but he thinks he's the next best thing etc etc.

I agree with major. Match fixers shouldn't be allowed in the team period.

For me only amir is the exception. Amir was forced to fix because he was 17 years old, he was a kid who just made it into the team, but his captain threatened him saying that if he didn't do what he said, his career would be finished for good.

Not only was amir new to the team so he didn't even have any credibility, he would have to prove that butt asked him to fix, and if he didn't have proof, butt would simply deny all his claims and Management would remove amir because they would believe he is lying, best case scenario he's in the 15 but would always get benched, worst case scenrio his international career would be over. He was young, underage, and simply had no credibility to back up any claims, so he was forced, and had no choice. If I was amir I'd probably do the same.

The fact that amir immediately confessed as well, amir may have attitude but he didn't deserve jail time or anything that happened to him, it was unfair.

Sharjeel, Khalid lateef, Butt, Danish kaneria, nasir jamshed. These guys willingly match fixed/Spot fixed. They were adults and no one forced them to do anything. They outright did so willingly with full intent as to what they were doing. They sold their country plain and simple.

In the case of asif, he had seniority and could rat butt out but money and greed took over in his case so he's also despicable.

Also about the whole, they served their penance, bhai you can't be sure of that. Even if they never match fix again, it'll be because their afraid of consequences, Theirs always gonna be that idea in the back of everyone's minds that these guys just aren't trustworthy irrespective of the time that's passed.

With that being said I do hate the way pakistan and pcb go about things.

When I look at ecb, I feel total envy. Every poster on this forumn just uses excuses by saying theirs lack of talent or just saying other nonsense.

You all are delusional beyond belief. Talent isn't something that's naturally achieved, it's built over time. Are their players who are not talented? Yes shan masood being an example same with asad shafiq,

But genuinely talented players are groomed to become world class, the way you to groom them is by giving them an extended run without the fear of being dropped.

Lastly its about mindset, England adopting a fair system of selection post 2015 and having the mindset to always outbat the opposition and put play the opposition + a never give up strategy that Ben Stokes always applies is what made them become world class.

In pcb its always stats stats stats. The mindset is simply play for your milestones, play 1990 era cricket from over 1 to 30 and t20 style from 31 to 50. And the selection criteria is completly unfair with zero squad rotation and biased excuses.

I have no clue how many times posters have bashed me by saying saim ayub has no list A experience, Bhai remind me what list A experience Abdullah has? Abdullah has even less List A experience then Saim. The reason Abdullah is in the team is because babar has a love affair with Abdullah's technique and drafted him in, but with saim babar is threatened by him becoming a permanent t20 opener, hence he's not willing to draft the lad in.

Stop with the experience crap, ik full well how the selection criteria works in India, England and Australia and how it works in Pakistan.

I remember those times to and I was as well felt a great deal of shame. However the past is the past and all three did their time, apologised and where legally allowed to represent Pakistan- end of story

Now for the last three years I have felt that same humiliation multiple times when watching Pakistan consistently make fools out of themselves- whether it is losing to India by 220 runs, chocking as Asia Cup final, Wade's 3 sixes to Shaheen, losing 3-0 to England D, losing 3-0 at home, losing the 22WC final etc etc- while jesters like Rizwan and Babar laugh on the field.

The guys who fixed may have done embarrassed us once however each of them have the skill and ability - especially Amir and Sharjeel- to retribuite for their sins and make our country proud. The guys we have currently playing now may not be match fixers however they are a bunch of softies who will continue to disappoint, act like clowns and block the path for any new talent to come into the team.

So yes I will take the fixers over the current lot any day

They didn't do Spot fixing in the 4th match. See his no balls, they are from the 3rd match.

The story broke out during the 4th match.

Forums should have fact checkers as well so that people like you cannot fool people.

Like Major said, its time to back team as this is the best 11 Pakistan could have fielded. I get it that you do not like the team, maybe to a point that you would come at everyone with fabricated facts to make a point but this is not the time for it.

The time to back to boys is here and IA we will bring the cup home. For the ones, waiting for the team to fail, you will have your way in 8 weeks if you keeping praying hard enough. 😃
