Junaid Khan Injured

Junaid Khan has suffered pain on his right foot toe to which physio has examined. According to Team Physio, He got infection in his second toe finger of his right foot. Junaid has been ruled out from today's match and third ODI against New Zealand.

Replacement if any, will be announced later.

Bad news for Junaid but good news for Pakistan - need to get rid of him as soon as possible.

Seems to be permanently injured.

Extremely average bowler, wouldn't even play for Bangladesh.

It's absolutely shocking how a gun-barrel straight trundler like him is playing for a team like Pakistan, with a great bowling legacy.

Truly shameful.

Please keep him out.

His pace has gone down over the years instead of actually getting better or becoming a better bowler really.

His career would be having the highlights of that Test in SL where he was too good and then that 2012 ODI tour of India where everyone thought we have an excellent prospect in sights, alas failed like many of the others to live up to the hype.

I always liked him and still do but has too many issues rather than getting better.

Always been like that, management gives him chances but he can’t stay fit. When he is dropped next time the whining will start. Must be frustrating for him and the fans.

Why doesn't common sense prevail? Get Mohammad Abbas in. He will be there anyway for the tests.

It would be just one ODI so should not harm his test fitness.

Junaid was bowling at 125 with not much swing. Unfortunately, I don't see old Junaid anymore and the wkts he took in Asia cup were not bowled or behind the stumps as he was doing 4-5 years ago. With Amir, Abbas, Shaheen, Hasan, Shinwari, Roman Raees, and Faheem, he is going to face a lot of competition for South Africa or WC 2019.

Averages 28 in the last two years and 21, if you discount matches against Australia and New Zealand. Although he has poor numbers against them, he bowler well without reward in Australia. He also played a crucial role in our CT win last year.

He should definitely be in the WC squad ahead of Rumman Raees (where is he anyways?) and Mohammad Abbas who has not played a single ODI thus far, if I'm not mistaken. Of course, if Abbas takes his upcoming chances with both hands and/or Junaid loses his form completely, things will change.

He gives his one hundred percent each time, but not the most talented bowler. Still did better than Amir in the Asia cup and the CT.

It is said that he lied to the selection committee. He was also not playing for his team in the One Day Cup final due to fitness issues but he said to the manangement that he is available. Should not return to the team. He is a trundler who just bowls straight deliveries.

Anyone playing for his country, or for any team for that matter, is expected to give his 100%. If is not something that deserves to be appreciated.

However, if you are not giving your 100%, you clearly have issues and should not be playing.

He will go home and take two months to recover and then whine (through the press) about not being selected for South Africa or the World Cup
