Kagiso Rabada vs Hasan Ali vs Jasprit Bumrah

What is the rationale behind preferring Hasan for T20s? He has a pretty mediocre record in it.

Could be Hasan's batting along with bowling. As a package, he definitely is an asset compared to Bumrah in T20s. Better fielder too

In a T20 he won't be needed for atleast 8 of the 10 matches. Plus i think bowling is the main discussion point. His economy is 8.3 while Bumrah is 6.7. I agree it is his opinion, just curious about how he came to that.

Random prediction for final Test records

Rabada 80 M 360 wkts @24.xx
Bumrah 50 M 190 wkts @29.xx
Hasan 45 M 150 wkts @ 34.xx

In ODIs
Rabada 200 M 300 wkts @24.xx
Bumrah 170 M 250 wkts @25.xx
Hasan 200 M 300 wkts @ 25.xx

Bumrah is much better T20 bowler due to his incredible accurate yorker bowling ability but I would still say Hasan Ali is much ahead in ODIs

Bumrah is world no.1 ODI bowler. India doesn't play him much in T20s. He missed like 20 matches as he is too valuable an asset for Tests. I don't care if Bumrah never plays T20 for the rest of his career except in world T20.

No wait for those people who would come back hitting at you stating 'Hasan Ali was #1 ODI bowler too a few months ago' ramayan!

Baffling! So Bumrah will end up with an average of 29+ in test cricket and will play only 50 matches? I wonder how much of test cricket you have watched.

Very little I am afraid. Test cricket just doesn't work with normal office schedules.

Prediction is random, but I'll still stick with it. I think Bumrah will have injury problems and lose pace earlier than most bowlers this giving him 6-7 year shelf life at best before focusing on LOIs.

Also I don't see him playing too many home tests given the need to cotton wool him for key series and tournaments.

You are welcome to disagree

These are tests stats for Bumrah and Rabada Home and Away since 2016

at Home
RABADA Matches 38 Wickets 116 Average 18.69
Bumrah has yet to bowl at home

Away
RABADA Matches 20 Wickets 47 Average 27.5
BUMRAH Matches 20 Wickets 49 Average 21.9

Judge it by yourself
It seems Rabada is better in tests but his success is mainly attributed lively wickets at home

Pretty sure Rabada has not played 58 test matches

I would prefer Rabada in tests, Bumrah in ODIs and Hasan ali in T20s

You will prefer Hassan Ali in T20 if you play mostly against Zim, Ken, Ire. Statistics are like a bikini - Reveals a lot BUT hides the most important bits.

I will prefer Hassan over Imran Khan, if latter decides to join Pakistan team today as a fit 60-70 yr old. Else Hassan should not even be in Abbottabad Widows XI.

It’s funny to see all such threads. Indian and Pakistan players start at par and then gradually Indian players pull away to the front.

It’s not talent but just methodical training and professionalism; that make this difference.

Except for babar vs Rahul.
I've heard from so many people that babar is very humble. Very good to see that how top batsman is not letting money change him.

Rahul still got time and great Indian batting system to fall back-on. Remember, Shikhar Dhawan faded away like him after the initial glory and came back with a bang at 28 years of age.
I dont expect Rahul to make it big in Test cricket though as he doesn't look like he has the technique for it. But in ODIs and T20s, he can definitely make it.

I think the new competition will be Babar vs Kuldeep now in pakistan vs india fixtures. If you hear his interview after getting babar out on the 16th, it seems as if he wants to start a rivalry with him :babarazam
