Why Multan was not used as a third venue for the PSL. Tired of Lahore and Karachi.

Guess it's because of Biosecurity Bubble.

Last edition had 04 venues, including Multan and Rawalpindi. Could have been same this year if not for Covid-19.

Multan has an epic view for cricket fans. It looks like Pakistan Lords Cricket Ground.

What is PCB doing, Rawalpindi still looks like worse Zimbabwe cricket grounds. No seats, no roof top for the fans. Pathetic

What will be the surface like at Karachi ? Typical slow sluggish track that we see in PSL or good for batting ?

I expect decent tracks to start with but, as the tournament is being played at two venues so fans shouldn’t be disappointed if some of the wickets are a bit slower as the tournament progresses. Hopefully groundsmen will do a good job and will obviously be prepareing multiple pitches at the ground but, sometimes it can get bit difficult to maintain the spice of the pitch with multiple matches at one ground.

Quite a few youngsters to look forward to in the game with possibly Hasnain, Naseem Shah, Azam Khan, Aarish Ali/ Saim Ayub on QG side. While Arshad Iqbal and Zeeshan Malik/ Danish Aziz are likely on KKs side.

One thing I don't like about the PSL (and other leagues as well) is the long opening ceremony which lasts longer than expected and delays the match.

Sharjeel is looking like a balloon.

Looking forward to seeing Gayle, Nabi perform.

So what? Cricket isn't an athletic sport, as long as he can score some runs and not fix then who cares.

It just shows his lack of dedication as a person, which means he will never perform well for Pakistan apart from the odd fluke.

In general life, having a belly like that is detrimental to your health. If he’s carrying that weight into international sport then it’s an issue.

I guess being mediocre settles right with you but not with anyone who has a drive to be the best.

All this shows is a lack of drive, and that is detrimental not just in sports but in life...

I rather have a fat cricketer opening who has skill so that he can score runs rather then a really athletic opener who can not buy a run.

Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to field first.

Yea I loved the mediocrity the likes of inzaman, Ranatunga, Jaysuriya et al. had, no one gave a Toss about their bellies or fielding yet they won more matches for their respective teams than most of the fittest players of today put together. Cricketing is a game of skill, no one in the Pakistani XI is athletically good enough to play as a specialist fielder. They have to either bat well or bowl well and the fielding is below average. So sop obsessing over this fitness crap, if you don't have skills fitness isn't going to get you anywhere. I'd rather have Azam khan batting for Pakistan than Shoaib Malik who seems to be the fittest player at the moment.

Zahid mehmood?
He can debut for Pakistan and not play PSL
And an Afghani Qais Ahmed replaces him as he is Shane warne

Wrong decision to bowl first.
Congrats Gladiators.

Not at all. Chasing has a 60% win percentage in T20Is in general and increases to 70% in subcontinent due to dew factor. Quetta has potent spinners in Qais and Nawaz - reducing their effectiveness will be key.

Karachi bats very deep and has the best middle order in the competition which means chasing will be a reliable job. That too with Hasnain, Naseem, or past it Steyn bowling at the death...

I will come back to this post after 10 overs of chase.

QG look like a strong team. Lots of power with the bat and a good pace attack.

The Karachi stadium is horrendous. Needs a lot of work if Pakistan aim to use this as an international venue for ICC events

So excited! Pepe's chicken adverts in HD instead of the rubbish hum masala feed!

Chris Gayle Darth Vader

Never viewed him like that but it is quite a good comparison

Banton destroying his talent with these T20 leagues.

He is a T20 baby as T20 is the format which brought him into reckoning. However, I think if he works hard he can more than just a T20 player.

Aamer Yamin is 30. The ship has sailed for him at international level

I had heard Aamer Yamin was good with new ball. I see nothing special here though...
