The opening ceremony of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 promises to be another glittering affair as internationally acclaimed singer Shaggy confirms his participation for the event set to take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) on February 9.

The Jamaican reggae singer will be one of the main attractions at the ceremony that will also see performances from top Pakistani singers Ali Zafar and Shehzad Roy. Renowned TV host and movie star Fahad Mustafa will host the ceremony.

I'll say it one more time, I've watched Irfan live.

Yes we all should start rating Muhammad Irfan because PP expert has watched him live.

It is not unusual for u19 stars to take time to make the jump to first class cricket. The best batsman from Hasan's batch of u19 was Zeeshan Malik and guess what he just made his first class debut in October 2016 and to date has only played 4 first class matches.

They have the best squad by far again. But no one really expects them to win after last years debacle. You could pretty much field an international strength side from that squad. Think they have the most number of pakstani players who are currently playing/good enough to play in the international T20 side too. You've just got to question the form of all those guys, none of them performed apart from Bopara last time.

Not sure but Abdul Ameer is supposed to be a 24-year-old which would mean he can't be an emerging player (I think). Hasan Mohsin is 19.

Good find by the KK and he can be developed into a serious player.

His control is excellent for such a young bowler and the confidence level is also very high, which tells us he believes in himself and his abilities - great to see.

Gayle is not looking good again this year. Sanga is also not looking in his prime. The only option is to take a gamble with KP and bat up the order.

PSL2 is more about Mickey as a Coach and to what lenghts is he willing to go and what risks will he take to stem the decline?

He is taking Ryan Maclaren's place in the side.

He is a much better player and would allow for KK to play a spinner like Kashif Bhatti.

they should have thought about it when they were selecting players, spent so much money, more money than any other club, but could not find a captain, don't know what were they thinking, should have picked up Morgan and made him the skipper

Bopara should be shifted up to open with Shahzaib. Followed by Babar, Sanga, Malik, Pollard and Maclaren. We also need to get rid of Imad, he is just hype. Play a proper spinner in his place.

Sanga's own form is awful right now, that would hurt his team's morale as well. Kashif Bhatti is not all that special, I'd take Imad over him anyday, but they should try him, he impressed in the domestic t20 comps, he should replace a batsman in the starting line up

IMO they should bring McLaren in for Pollard. Can knock a few out of the park if required and more importantly, will make our bowling, which looks mediocre even with 7 bowling options, more solid.

Pollard's output with the ball right now is zero.

Pollard should come in at 7, not 5. Babar is literally an opener now that any one (or both) of the Pakistani and KK openers give their wicket away cheaply, he should open with Khurram, but Khurram should be told to start hitting while Babar anchor the innings

KK dream is dead now, I would be surprised if they qualify for the play offs, they looked awful in both if the games, body language was so poor, looked like Zimbabwe, they accepted the defeat halfway through the Quetta innings, they are not playing for the team

There bowling seems fine. Gayle,pollard, and sanga just seem of it with the bat. Hopefully this is Gayle and Sangas last season in this competition. Would rather see 2 younger overseas players than these 2. It says a lot that Sanga isn't picked up in the IPL auction anymore.

he can give really good starts to his team, in the last Pakistan cup he had scored like 100 off 70 and 123 off 90
