OK I’ll explain. I didn’t say Pakistan is behind this. If I say ‘Pakistan is behind it’, it would mean the involvement of the entire Pakistan or the Government of Pakistan. Some of you think we’re pointing fingers at Imran Khan or his government. I don’t think he’d do it.
Saying that the Indian government would do something like that is an extremely offensive statement. You have to be crazy to think that this attack was orchestrated by India. I’m not surprised though because you guys said the same about Mumbai attacks.
Based on past incidents we’re almost sure about the assistance provided by the Pakistani army. It’s an open secret. There’s a reason why many of the caught terrorists were using Pak army’s guns. So to put it simply, as a result of the unstable political situations in Pakistan over the decades you now have an army that is acting on its own. So it’s not your government, it’s your army that is very interested in this proxy war to maintain the tension. Any sort of progress in the relations between India and Pakistan have been followed by incidents like these. There is a pattern. Nawaz Sharif had to face it, now Imran Khan is facing it too. Let’s hope things will improve in the future. Progress will be slow but Imran Khan seems to have the willpower to bring good changes.
