Srinagar, March 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, as many as one hundred thousand people participated in the funeral prayers of two youth, Rayees Kachroo and Farooq Ahmad Hurra in Pulwama, today.
The youth were martyred by Indian forces during a siege and search operation in Padampora area of Pulwama, yesterday. The funeral of Rayees Kachroo and Farooq Ahmad Hurra were offered four times at their ancestral villages in Pulwama and Shopian to accommodate a sea of people who had turned up to see a last glimpse of the martyrs. The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while addressing the mourners over telephone from Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri youth would soon result in the dawn of freedom in Kashmir.
Draped in Pakistani flag, the martyrs were laid to rest amid anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. On the direction of Syed Ali Gilani, an APHC delegation also participated in the last rites of the youth. Soon after the burial, massive protests erupted in Belov and Nazneenpora, the ancestral villages of Rayees Kachroo and Farooq Ahmad Hurra. People raising Pakistan flags marched on the streets in the two districts. Over two dozen protesters were injured when Indian forces tried to intercept the marchers. Some critically injured were shifted to Srinagar for treatment.
