Is it just me or does this guy seem to think South Africa are in the stronger position no matter what happens? Seems to talk as if Pakistan are just there to fulfil their commitment of touring.

Just doesn't seem to rate our team at all. Even when the 1st 2 wickets fell in quick succession he was still talking about how South Africa are in complete control. Then when a partnership was building through Amla and Kallis, and then De Villiers and du Plessis, listening to him talk you would think South Africa had marched to 400.

Poor commentator.

the commentators are just talking about SA no matter what and they seem to make an image of super power SA, the chokers :yk

South African commies are always like that.

Goes with the territory. Saffer fans complained when they toured here last year because our commentators had the audacity to talk about our own players fortunes and not drool over Steyn for 5 days.

Yes Kepler is incredibly boring and biased. I tune the volume out when he comes on.

I've noticed Saffie commentators to be nothing like English or Aussie commies ever since I started watching cricket (90s). They've always been biased and boring. And to be quite frank I'm starting to find their accent annoying.

You're seeing a bias that isn't there.

In fact, Wessels was a team-mate of Imran Khan both at Sussex and in Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket, and he has always been a wellwisher of Pakistan.

^
dude, 9 down and he now just said, its one of those situations where you dont know whats a good score until both sides bat!

yeah right, win toss, decent start, and 240 for 9!!! you still thing SAF is not doing badly!!!

That part is true, you don't know what a decent score is until both teams bat. The start wasn't great - 40-odd for 2.

Kepler Wessels´ biased commentary is out of this world:bow:.

Also, absolutely dream stuff from Pakistan, Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez:135:!

But hey, don´t forget Younis Khan, the man with the golden arm, who dismissed Hashim Amla:yk.

Yea he's biased..

Had Pakistan got out for 253 and SA was 6/0 would it be evenly poised?

He's always been like this, probably one of the most biased commentators in cricket tbh.

We all remember him sulking when Pakistan outrageously dared to defeat the terminators of SA in the 09 T20WC SF - got trolled hard by Wasim 'I was calm too' Akram at the end though during that epic commentary battle where they both threw out any neutral input and just became two fanboys backing their sides lol.

nz commies are the most biased that i've noticed

i listened to paul harris' commentary during the first session and couldn't understand a single thing :yk

he kept blabbering on and on and on even during balls being delivered

Evenly Poised

:))) :))) :)))

He said evenly poised

With our batting and their bowling he might not be far off the mark :farhat

He is like this with all opposition however during NZ series he said he couldn't wait for Pak v SA series so does rate Pakistan.

There should have been 2 Pakistani commentators atleast. One Pak and 4-5 South Africans is not fair.

Who cares what Kepler says, what counts is what happens on that 22 yards in the middle

He is not that bad and his knowledge of the game is quite good too.

He is though quite boring and bland to some which is understandable as he does not have that enthusiasm or sense of humour other commentators do.

Its better they are biased then trying being to be fake and neutral though.

This Wessele is very die hard patriot, ask Australian when he was part of their Rebuilding process in early 80's they question his patriotism, then in 1990 he proved some of their doubt by jumping ship.

I didn't think he was overly biased but I did notice that he seemed to suggest at various stages that SA were in a better position than they were in reality.

I dont think he was biased. I think his comments are quite balanced more often that not.

Listening to Jonty on ten sports, not THAT is biased. He just said Hafeez didnt bowl that well, saffers played him badly.

Doesn't matter what kepler says................he is not biased like the Indians Sanjay,Ravi,SGav........

lol just a couple of days back he wrote an article praising pakistan cricket , infact he came across as a closet pakistani fan .
he has always been a boring commentator though .

Kepler is biased, but well who isn't?
India have the best commentator's they are completely unbiased and state facts rather than fantasies.

Why did they only get Rameez as a commentator? What was stopping them from bringing in Waqar?

putar, have you ever seen Pakistan play? SA are known as chockers, and we are the most unpredictable team.

In Robin Jackman's absence, I find HD Ackerman to be pretty good. Provides good analysis, isn't too boring and the guy has eagle eyes - he often spots if a batsman is out before the replays are shown :D

thats why its so much fun when you do well against them
the commentators start sputtering and looking for reason

Does anyone still think Kepler is bias? For someone who is well knowledgable about South African condition as myself 250 is a decent total at the Wanderers 300 good, 350+ varies from very good to very dangerous.
36/7.

To be fair, South African commentators are vastly superior (and far more impartial - in relative terms off course) to yours. The likes of Simon Doull, one of the biggest idiots(alongside Mark Nicholas, Ian Botham and the Indian commies) to ever hold a mic, can inspire even the most ardent pacifist to pick up a shotgun and book a one way trip to New Zealand.

Ackerman is a top commentator. As is Pommie Mbangwa.

Overall, SA have the best commentary team.

ok hold on. Our commentators are on pay. So its different. It is their responsibility. :P

Lol I enjoyed it when his voice was getting progressively deflated as Saffers were choking against us in the ODI. He doesn't even bother hiding it.

English ones are pretty good.

Nicholas is a closet Aussie who defected thus doesn't count.

Nasser Hussain is a top commentator. Bumbles brilliant and Atherton is decent. The rest of the English are annoying, especially Knight, Botham & Allot.

Nasser, Lloyd and Athers are generally considered to be very good.

Botham gets a raw deal, has improved his articulation a lot and is now more balanced with his outraaaaage. IMO views of Botham tend to be based on a few throwaway comments he made as a player rather than his merits as a commentator.

Willis is jokes. 'Hopeless!' :rondu

Australia? You mean you actually like listening to Ian Healy, Mark Nicholas and Mark Taylor? Quality commies like Tony Greig, Lawry and Benaud are not there. Chappell is the only good one here.

English have got better commies like :bumble, :nasser and Gower. They too have poor commies like Willis, Beefy and the worst of 'em Nicholas Verity Knight.

Oh yeah forgot Athers and Boycs. Boycs is a legend. Tells it like it is. Once called Gul brainless :)))

Should we think he is biased for thinking Pakistan are rubbish? He is merely stating the ground reality... Is anyone honestly surprised that Pakistani batting were ripped apart by Dale Steyn, Morkel and Philander? It was always going to happen.

The fact of the matter is Pakistan's batting line is regularly getting away with only one or two batsmen out of top six getting into double figures, the rest being out for scores of 0, 1 more often than not.

Only Bangladesh come close to Pakistan in that respect.

Arrogance comes with the territory.
SA are no.1 by a fair distance so Keplar is just indulging.

Doesn't anyone remember the pathetic remarks from Sky commie team (and along with various journalists) when England became number 1 upto the Pakistan series in UAE. Some of these buffons were putting this England side along with the likes of West Indies of 80s and Australia of 00s. :))

Basically your country becomes number 1, some take the opportunity to blow their trumpets, and they have every right.

Channel 9's ones are terrible. But O Keefe does a good job with the ABC team.

He was still wrong... it's not like he knew Pakistan would be bundled out for less than 50 runs... at 253 AO... Pakistan took the honours of the popening day... there was no balance, Pakistan was on top... but it was short lived..

Kepler Wessels is full of nonsense and most saffer commentators are pretty biased. As mush as i love the South African Cricket team, some of my favourite players simply cant stand the commentary. I'd love to see what he has to say when South Africa always choke in World cups.

Hate this commie.

When SA are batting 'the pitch has something in it for the bowlers'

When PAK bat on the same pitch 'it has flattened out'

To be honest, only Mike Haysman talks sense and his commentary isn't boring. I would dare say-Ramiz,Danny and Wasim could have been a lot better.

Whenever Kepler Wessels comes in the commentary box I switch my TV to mute. Cant stand hearing him

Haven't heard him this series yet but know from experience that he's crap.

Not one of the better ones, that's for sure. Highly imbalanced commentary, often unbearable to listen to.

Haysman too was annoying yesterday when he kept repeating that babar is not a big turner of the ball while he was turning it

While Steyn is bowling crap and posing no threat,Kepler comes out of his hiding place and says-"When Steyn is bowling, you get a lot of pressure created and you need similar pressure from the other end"
Height of living in delusional world.

South African and Kiwi commies with the exception of Danny Morrison are rubbish.

I find Danny Morrison very annoying, corny and a massive wannabe.
