No hate, no animosity.

Just a good game of cricket.

Great atmosphere, and some great scenes at the end.

At the end of the day, this is Pakistan vs India, the side they don't show but the side we want to see more.

Those scenes at the end made me happier than the victory itself, and I hope both teams, both boards, and people from both countries see that we are just human beings who have unreasonable hate for one another.

Great job to Pakistan, and great job to India.

Hopefully this is the start of something new, a better relationship between both teams, and the fans and boards of both teams as well.

The respect between the two teams is always terrific to watch. No sledging, no aggression, just two teams playing cricket.

A true display of the gentlemen's game

I might be in the minority, but I miss the fiery stuff between the two teams.

You know Miandad-More, Aamer-Prasad, Afridi-Gambhir, Bhajji-Akhtar stuff:akhtar

Absolutely.

No incidents, no sledging.

All smiles, hugs and a great atmosphere.

How cricket should be played.

I'm a big fan of Kohli now. Not only is he one of the greatest batsmen of all time, he's always been friendly with the Pakistani players. None of that garbage nationalism that some other Indian players have shown in the past.

Yeah I've always loved him and Dhoni!

Actually me too, I prefer the rivalry you describe as I grew up with it.

However there has been so much political tension between the two countries over the last decade so all things considered it was actually heatening to see the two sides giving it their all but playing it without the theatrics.

The rivalry will come back when things get better politically and we play each other regularly.

Those who are against Indo Pak cricket should watch this game again and again. This is only 10% of what we used to watch few years ago between these two teams. :inti

Kohli and Dhoni are very likeable guys. They have given us phainta at times but have never seen them show arrogance against us.

Just wait until Pakistan plays Afghanistan.

pak india always used to have needle, but there was always respect among the players, just see how old time players talk about players from the other team.

I'm guilty of being harsh against team India in the past but they showed their class at the end. It's always nice to see Dhoni come on and have a wee chat with the Pak players.

And he might not be the player he once was, but Kohli is a credit to team India. Whole team was gracious in defeat which was good to see.

Kohli is a top cricketer. There is a lot to learn from him on how to dig out of difficult situations. That 6 was brilliant

Kohli is getting trolled on social media by ultra nationalists for hugging Babar.

It makes their behaviour on the field even more classy, they know that the majority of their countrymen aren't mature enough to process this type of thing.

I’m getting tired of this

We are the biggest rivalry in sports, forget just cricket. We can’t be too nice to each other on the field, we need some spice!

It was a very clear statement that none of the onfield players want anything to do with the off field politics that is clouding the game.

Ordinary Pakistanis and Indians will always get along well, and that is a fact.

I can't stand the lovey dovey stuff, there needs to be a bit of needle. Where's Sehwag when we need him ?

Very classy from Kohli Hats off to him He plays hard on the field but when the game is done hes the first to smile n shake hands win or lose

The spice comes from the fans and the media.

It comes from the way the players approach the game.

"Spice" doesn't mean you hurl abuses at another team or another set of players trying to execute their skills.

Stop falling victim to politicians.

Let your performances speak and enjoy a good game of cricket.

I get that, but when Kohli and Starc are going at each other, there is no politicians involved. It’s just two hard, competitive cricketers going hard at each other.

We had beef like this in the past with Kamran and Ishant, Gambhir v Afridi, Gambhir v Kamran, Shoaib v nearly every Indian batsman.

There is nothing wrong with two sets of sportsmen going hard at each other within the limits of competition in sport. I don’t enjoy this Kuch Kuch Hota hai and Mohabbatain lovey dovey competition on the field. At times is like Kohli will let the ball go through his legs to let Pakistan have a boundary and will go and congratulate the batsman during play

I also like the aggro but with the state of Indo-PK relations its not a good idea because it may well lead to innocent people dying. Its not an overstatement to say that Kohlis classy reaction may have saved a life or 2

I love the aggressive nature of yesteryear too, but we have to realise having animosity, in the current political and religious climate, isn't a something we should be preferring.

Having respect is important to show both nations, or the majority atleast, politics isn't going to be the tail that wags the dog.

Good on both players, coaches and the fans. Long may it continue.

The political climate does not merit both teams going hard at each other with animosity because it gives incentive to politicians to milk the event even more.

If we want more cricket between India and Pakistan, affairs must include nothing that can give politicians the chance to milk the event itself.

:)))

Kohli seems to be a Jerkyll and Hyde character. He has fire in his eyes while facing the Angrezis or the Australians but becomes the ultimate brand Ambassador of Indo-Pak unity while facing Pakistan. He would even go out of his way to taunt the English and Australian crowd after getting a wicket lol in their own homes, like his recent dig at the Barmy army. Can you ever imagine him doing the same to a Pakistani crowd. Kohli might well go and shake the hands of the bowler who dismisses him in the next IndoPak match and take a mid pitch selfie while he's at it:asif

Indeed.

It was good to see good vibes from both sides. No need to cause any drama.

I found it astonishing to see how SSA kept his anger in check when bowling yesterday. He is a natural hot head who doesn’t filter his anger at the batsmen.

His aggression came from running hard and bowling well at a good pace.

He showed aggression in his performance.

No need to go about and disrespect people from the opposition.

I find it hard to believe why people are so caught up about our team not being over-aggressive in this encounter. Players are professionals, they keep emotions and politics aside. You don't win against India by being an emotional group of hot-headed players, you win by keeping your nerve, staying calm and cool, and playing good cricket.

Kohli generally does not react or say anything unless he is provoked. Once provoked he goes out of control

Pakistanis ( or Sri Lankans / West Indians ) generally don't do any such stuff which is why he gets along very well
