Lack of all-rounders in the XI is hurting Pakistan in Tests

India's two best bowler Ashwin and Jadeja can easily occupy places in Pakistan Test team as pure batsmen. How good they are with bat. For this reason, every time India play Tests, they actually play with only 1/2 pure bowlers Although Ashwin and Jadeja are the No.1 and No.2 bowler in ICC Ranking.

Even SL Team has shown us what can do a world class all-rounder like dilruan perera. He made an aggressive fifty in the 1st innings and with the bowl he killed us in both innings.

So, where is our all-rounder? A four man bowling attack is weak. In Dubai Test, when Amir got injured, our bowling line became 3 men attack. Yasir had to bowl 56 overs in 1st innings. 1 or 2 all-rounder in a lineup can make both batting side and bowling side stronger.

Going Forward if we want to play at modern rate than we have to set a minimum benchmark of 50 strike rate and 40 Average in FC to get a chance for national teams we don't need turtle army anymore, I think our Ideal combo For UK tests should be

I'm not saying he's lost capability with the bat, but what I'm trying to say is that our domestic coaches are trying to make him into a bowling all-rounder, when he clearly doesn't have the ability with the ball.

Specialist players should make the team only.

There is a famous term for the quality of all rounders that are currently in first class level, 'relu katta' as they are bits and pieces players.

Aamer Yamin would be good for the tests. He has been in immense form in the QEA Trophy this season. I'm all for trying him, he's quite an aggressive batsman too.

Yamin bowling isn't perfect but he could do a job for 10 overs and his batting is his strong suit. Better to try someone than to continue running Yasir into the ground.

Hafeez would strengthen your batting based on the current lot, batting at #6 or #7 - not sure if his bowling was banned or how it is after his ban though.

Otherwise, you'll need to back a seam bowling allrounder and give him a proper go.

We have a couple of good players and a couple of players with potential.

The rest are just making up the numbers and are average at best.

hafiz is that bowler who went for 14 runs after coming to bowl when the oppsition was under immense presusure 33/3.it tells u the whole story that his bowling is ineffective and he is playing number,s game,,,

Wasn't there a claim by the Amir fans, that Amir's ATG knock from down the order against Srilanka made him a 'better batsman than Sarf' he apparently was schooling Sarfraz on how to bat. He can do it both 'with bat and ball'. Why no trust in the ATG anymore?
