I won't call it a choke. We just had 5 good overs out of T20, when NZ bowlers bowled to Sharjeel's strengths.

You need more than 25% domination to chase a total like 180, and as a unit, we are not capable of putting a score like that.

We can look good for a few overs but that's it.

The problem is that there is no bowling plan by:

(a) The Captain Himself
(b) The Bowlers.

All of them are just running in and bowling like its a net practice session going on. Say whatever you might about Gul, Junaid, Ajmal (chuker or whatever) and Hafeez. All four of them had good bowling brains which apparently is evidently non existent (barring Amir) in the current batch.

Afridi, Irfan, Wahab and Sami all bowl without any thought process or any plan whatsoever. This is international cricket and if you think only 145 clicks will do the job then you're severely underestimating the professionalism of other sides.

You don't need to be quicker than 87-88 mph if you have skill and brain. We are only interested in the Speed Gun. If the bowler is bowling phaaaast, all is well.

I agree I'd rather have a bowler who can bowl 140ks who can swing the ball who has variations and can bowl a good yorker. rather than a 145k-150 speed demon who has no skill and can only can ball short balls or half trackers.

I think in tests Amir is an intelligent bowler and we will see the best of him in that format because he has time to set the batsman up. He lacks the variation needed for T20s to be a gun T20 bowler he will be an average T20 bowler IMO. Just like Rabada he looks a gem in Tests but in T20s he has been getting smashed.

Of course, the tag of 'best attack ever' is nothing more than a vanity thing. Pakistani supporters look around at other teams, see them being good at various aspect of cricket such as fielding, batting or spin bowling and don't want their team to be left behind. Hence they place a tag of Pakistan being 'best' at a thing that they're the least worst at - bowling.

Probably, all pacers want a spell like Wahab-Watson to get the glory. I guess if you keep doing it all the time, it will come. Broken clock is right twice a day.

The bowlers from other teams are also having a tough time to adapt, I just couldn't understand how Pakistani fans thought their bowlers will be of any different. The more faster you bowl, the faster you disappear to the fence.

Same problem one and a quarter years later, as usual no changes made since then. No accountability in Pakistan Cricket
