To be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised by the way Wahab has taken on the PZ captaincy role. Seems to be enjoying the role and also his side seems to be warming up to him. But can he inspire his side to a top 4 position?

PZ seemingly found a replacement for a Darren Sammy.

Wahab has been integral part of Zalmi and has good few years left as the Face of Zalmi and a real stalwart in T20 cricket. These days you don’t have anyone bowling Better than Wahab.

Top 4 will certainly have Zalmi in just depends which position.

He has been wonderful in this captaincy stint so far.He is obviously MVP of the league. He is way ahead of others in terms of wickets in history of PSL.Due to captaincy he is even bowling in powerplay. They are definitely gonna be in Playoffs.

It's good to see a frontline pace bowler leading the team. But PZ's problem this year is they don't the 20-over bowling they have had before. Wahab is holding up okay. But Hasan Ali has been mostly out of sorts. As a bowling unit they're going for too many runs than they did before.

In previous years, Peshawar's pace battery used to be formidable and barely had a weak line. They had Wahab, Hasan Ali (in-form), Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills and Pollard or Dawson pitching in.

Wahab might be a good leader, but he can't do much with what he has at the moment. The likes of Rahat Ali and Yasir Shah don't threaten most opposition batsmen. They might claw through to the playoffs, but if they're going to lose whenever they bat first, it's not really going to get them to the final.

Winning any match with bowlers like Rahat, Hasan Ali and Yasir Shah is not easy but Wahab manged to win some, must be a good captain.

Also not afraid to put himself in the firing line - doesnt hide.

Everyone is leading from the front in PSL except Sarfraz.

Wahab has exceeded expectations so far. I didn't expect him to be a decent captain.

Taking "leading from the front" a bit too literally by coming in at #3 ahead of Haider :))) :))) :)))

Was great with his field settings and coping with his bowlers, but made one massive blunder by promoting himself to nr3 while he had an inform Haider Ali there.

If ever the word ‘silly’ was supposed to be used, it was for this move by Wahab. There are not too many intelligent guys in our cricket set up it seems.

Wahab trying to pull off a Shadab.

How pathetic he is. Why would you drop a proven #3 to #6.

They deserve to not make it to top 4.

What a dumb captain. Seems like the more Haider performs the lower down the order he gets pushed. Seniority culture at it's finest.

the best young batsmen of the tournament bats below Amin, Wahab, Malik, Akmal

there has never been a bigger display of bias and seniority culture, ever

Leading from the front doesnt mean you forget your own role in the lineup and start acting like its gully cricket.

Haider Ali sent in at number 6. Bizarre captaincy and tactics when he's been doing so well higher up the order.

At least he had the gall to do so unlike hiding at Number 8 like Sarfraz.

It was just selfishness from wahab to say “pick me for the WC”. Nobody asked for wahab and yet he did the stupid. However, with that said this was a very chaseable score and they didn’t up the ante.

It was stupid but if it worked, it would have been regarded as a brave masterstroke.

Just like IK’s 72 in the WC Final, few know that he was dropped on 9 by Graham Gooch.

It makes no sense if Haider is going so good plus Haider bats aggressively. Peshwar for their sakes better hope IU lose which I think they will. My prediction though is probably Multan vs Karachi in the final but would really like to see lahore take the cake.

It wouldn’t have been regarded as a brave master stroke. It made no sense.

The target was modest and run rate wouldn’t have been an issue- plus it’s not like he was out there swinging.

If he didn’t come as a pinch hitter then what sense does it make for him to bat above the specialists batsmen when he is not even an all rounder.

There is just no logic to the decision. It was poor at the time. In hindsight, it’s might have cost Zalmi a place in the semis.

Well it wasn't a good move but even in previous match Haider batted at 5 and in the match before that he batted at 4.wahab batted at 3 before in England domestic t20 and scored few fifties at that position. It was Hasan's pathetic death over bowling lost them the match.Wahab was very good with bowling changes and field placements. He is much better captain many of these awful captains who does nothing with bat.

Reminded me of the day when India sent Srinath as pinch hitter in 1996 vs SA in Titan Cup Final. Though India won the game but it was sure a senseless move.

this stunt from wahab riaz cost Zalmi the game and may as welll cost them a place in top4

insha'Allah Islamabad will lose today.Don't worry Peshawar will win the trophy even with depleted squad.

Yeah I want to see Haider Ali bat in the Semi and the final.

The best final if there was a crowd would have been Lahore vs Karachi. But now I want it to be Karachi vs Peshawar.

Maybe a bit too much from the front in batting. :riaz

He has no business at batting at 3.

If we want to plan for the future, I would rather have seen Imam captain than Wahab.
