List of foreign players who are willing to go to Pakistan for PSL final given by PCB to franchises

Chris Jordan ,Darren Sammy,Dawad Malan of zalmi are ready to play final in pakistan
 
Most of these players look uninteresting. The PSL final will look boring it seems.

Going by the general trend of news from PCB, I can hazard a guess that quite a few of them will back out.
 
really a bad idea to fill in with these guys ..this changes the whole team spirit( if any).

let the final happen in UAE
 
So just to clarify - I'm guessing if any of the existing foreign players drop out, the above players are possible replacement whom the franchises can chose from right? Because, out of the players I see in the OP, I don't think I've seen any of them play in the PSL this year :S
 
These players are B grade players. The final will be a huge let down.

Stupid PCB and stupid emotional Pakistani fans.
 
Sammy and Jordan aside this is crap all and massive disadvantage to other teams, not to mention it would look awful for the PSL.

Just have the final in UAE

In most cases playing 4 foreigners will just be a disadvantage
 
What logic is this? Play the whole PSL with set group of players and for final bring in some new.
 
honestly whats the point of PSL if the likes of KP, Watson, Sanga and co aren't there?

No disrespect, but apart from Rashid Khan (diamond) who was picked in the IPL the rest looks like D grade players and at best some of them are C grade players.
 
To be honest, these players should actually pay the franchises to get picked, because they are not worth a sack of gaajar mooli.
 
Rather just pick more emerging local players in the side than have these foreign players just for the sake of it.
 
That's not a good list to be honest. The only good player I see is rashid Khan. I hope he gets picked though
 
Have all the international players confirmed that they are not willing to travel to Pakistan?

I've heard of a couple of players who have said the wont travel to Pakistan - like Eoin Morgan, Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene - however, my thinking is that the list in the OP is possible replacement if international players do refuse to play in Pakistan?
 
Much rather have it in Sharjah with big names instead of this joke.

The point of PSL final in Lahore was to show people it's peaceful, but when none of the big names are going how is it going to prove a point?

If i was islamabad team manager i would do my foreigner picks just now because we are technically allowed to get 2 replacements for the foreigners who left our team

Thus getting good players upfront
 
The big question is: what is the commercial interest for one single game (FINAL) with or without international players? Let's say if you're spending $50k on 8 players to come to Lahore for 4 hours that's an investment of $500,000 ($400k plus logistics and security so let's assume $100k for that) alone on them. Is the half a million USD worth spending for commercial interests which will enable PCB to make way more money? Having C or D class international players is not worth. Having them over will not solve the "bring cricket back home" initiative. I am in support of playing final in Lahore but commercial vs sporting interests need to be kept in mind a.k.a PCB needs to think through this a bit more.

the only one I'd like to see from that list is Rashid Khan the Afghan leggie. Most of them are garbage, some decent players though.

I want to see De Villiers and Maxwell and others. These nobodies are not worth the money.

absolutely spot on. i say shame on the franchises for not selecting 1 each to be in their elevens in the first place.

if one team had picked one each it wouldnt have looked so weird now
 
They might as well recruit people from the list in OP above and create a sequel to the Expendables movie.

The PSL final must stay in the UAE .. it would be a big bore if final is held in Lahore and all the big names refuse to go. Hold it in Pakistan next year.

People are not understanding the final of the PSL is a step towards bringing international cricket back to Pakistan.

It doesn't matter if the players are not the best , the mere vision of their white, black or brown faces from foreign nations playing in Pakistan will make a big difference.

If it goes well, forget Gayle and co, bring these guys and play the PSL in Pakistan next year!

Its better to play with local rather to pick so called foreigners from list. I doubt pcb will force franchise to pick so it can say foreigners come
 
The list is rubbish I agree, but one should be seeing long-term. Even with the rubbish list, you can get 8 good cricketers.

1) Darren Sammy
2) Chris Jordan
3) Dawid Malan
4) Ryan ten Doeschate
5) Soumya Sarkar
6) Jade Dernbach
7) Morne van Wyk
8) Rashid Khan

These aren't the best but they'll serve the purpose in the long run. This year's final in Lahore isn't the be all and end all of PSL. If we can manage to hold a successful event in Lahore with these foreign players, there's a huge chance that PSL 3-4-5 would attract better foreign cricketers to our shores. But for that we need this year's final to help the future PSL's. Don't think short term!!!!

Dernbach is mediocre and not so sure about Van Wyk but otherwise some half decent players there.
 
Hate to burst the bubble of most ppers. But even when conditions were normal, Pakistan was not a favoured destination of touring teams. These T20 leagues are about 2 things, money and entertainment. In the UAE the PSL is a non stop party for the players. So is the IPL and the CPL etc. At best we will attract the kind of players that play in the BPL. I am pretty sure the quality of players will go down once the league moves to Pak. Unless the money becomes huge which it won't because TV rights will never get huge unless the tournament is shown in India. And you know how that goes....

The popularity of the PSL will not be close to what it is now if we play it in Pakistan with these unknown, expired set of players. Thank you for them for being willing to play in Pakistan, but the truth is that they are a bunch of rubbish nobodies and are not worthy of being the main players in Pakistan's premier T20 league.

This is PSL, not Pakistan's version of the ICL or the Masters Champions League.

The main attraction of the PSL is to see some of the biggest cricket stars play in the Pakistani league. Playing with these players in Pakistan will only be a marginal improvement on the T20 competition that we play in Pakistan every September, and it defeats the purpose and aim of the PSL.
 
Can someone tell where are Sammy and Jordan mentioned?!

and he is picked in IPL today, dont think he would risk his life going to pak before enjoying the IPL, parties, actor and actress meetings and more.... Moreover SLC wouldnt give him an NOC to go lahore to play the final..
 
It is a stupid idea to hold the final in Lahore. The city is not safe and Punjab Police is incompetent as is the army. I believe the final is going to be held in lahore for political reasoning as the Sharif empire is on its knees.
