Here is a list of TYL demands that the government has accepted but has not publicized.

1. A board of clerics led by Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri will be set up to probe remarks made by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah against the persecution of Ahmedis. Sanaullah will have to accept the decision made by the board.

2. No difficulty will be faced in registering cases under clause 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code (blasphemy law).

3. No leniency will be given to those convicted by courts for blasphemy.

4. No ban will be imposed on the use of loudspeakers.

5. The foreign and interior ministries will take steps for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui after taking her mother and sister in confidence.

6. The holiday of Iqbal Day on November 9 will be revived.

7. Two representatives of Tehreek-i-Labaik will be included in the panel assigned to decide changes in the textbook board. The officials will push for inclusion of translation of the Holy Quran and chapters about Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and Muslim leaders.

8. The chehlum of martyrs will be held on January 4 at Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh.

9. Every year, November 25 will be observed as "Martyrs of Prophet's honour day".

this country is a freaken joke.

dont even feel patriotic anymore

A very wrong precedent has been set. I can only the Mullahs growing more and more bolder by the day.

Rofl Dawn again, can't react to something that is published in a biased foreign funded newspaper and not officially confirmed.

Can be another move to continue their hate mongering of the religious community.

The way news report has been made is pure propaganda to rile and likely depress the desi liberal mafia who mite have a hand with their pathetic campaigns for Ahmedis.

wow so this guy thinks dawn is a biased newspaper..

its the only paper in the country which has a reputation for its neutrality.

Apply for asylum in the UK, the authorities will consider it carefully before rejecting it.

:)))

Rofl USA would be better just need some help from the Ahmadiyyah community there ,hopefully they won't ditch them like their fellows in Sri Lankan UN asylum camps.

This is so outlandish.... surely cannot be real.

This is what happens when the government is in damage control mode rather than governance mode. The Nooras and their darbaris are just busy saving their ill-gotten wealth and have no care or concern for the well-being of the country.

Syed1 agreed but can,t see them doing all these things mentioned above.

Your hate for Ahmedis is amazing. Let them believe what they want to believe why does it effect you? Is your faith effected by what someone else believes in?

This the reason why 50 Muslim countries have GDP equal to one UK. Musalmaan ka dimag bus ishi cheez mein chalta hai ke dosra kya soch raha hai ya kis tarhan namaz parh raha hai.

Neutrality........... :))

slow clayps for you :14:

Yeah newspaper that gives space to Aziz of Lal Masjid , baloch terrorists and questioning the existence of Pakistan is definitely neutral. rofl

Whatever his leanings are, gets a mention in this paper as long as it challenges the writ of the Pakistan govt.. or tries to mess with its relationships.

Most of its content is borrowed from foreign media which it publishes without research and has been more than once.

Its only held in high esteem by the unpatriotic and corrupt elite as they enjoy each others company and are simply detached from the general populace

for me it was just to calm down the situation.can,t be done.pmln knows their days are numbered thats why they accepted the demands to get out of this situation.

If this is true and from what you are indicating it is.... it is just not acceptable and the government that accepted It.... I am lost for words.

this types of things has been done previously like in imran khan dharna etc.election reforms.no body will give them a damn unless and until they have the backing like this which is unlikely, knowing pmln future is bleak.

You are getting little blind sighted by your love for IK and PTI. You have to look at things objectively. Its not about political party A or B, this is horrible for the country. They started off with issue with one word, now look that their demands?? - I will not iterate who is behind this or not, but at the end, this episode was huge loss to the nation and society at large...Pakistan is going in completely wrong direction as a society and culture...

"Zara Hat Kay" Did a very nice Satire (which is very close to reality unfortunately) on this "Mahadah", you may get amused if not enlighted by their commentary ;-)

It's not just Dawn and whether you agree with their reporting or not, they can't necessarily be CREATING this stuff out of nowhere and we know these are typical demands by such groups so not surprised one bit.

They're pretty balanced, 95% keep pretty neutral and try to criticize all sides equally
