While there is prolonged load shedding in majority of country. There is zero load-shedding in Gujranwala, 2 or 3 hours of load-shedding in Lahore

That sums up the entire issue, what PMLN had done was controlled/managed load shedding in certain areas. They had reduced load shedding in areas known to vote of them but now there is lot more balance which means their strong areas are getting more load shedding and people think it's some kind of conspiracy.
THIS is the reason Shahbaz Sharif on his last day said "We won't be responsible for any load shedding" from tomorrow

There were quite a few journalists who had been exposing this drama leading up to 30th May reporting massive load shedding even when PMLN was still in government, only reason why there is more load shedding now in some areas is because PMLN deliberately reduced load shedding in their strong areas.

I went to Pakistan last year and man the loadshedding was off the charts, on top of that it was hot as crap. The only way to survive was by taking shower multiple times a day.

The loadshedding has dramatically decreased in Karachi recently, at least in DHA - But there was a power outage for ~2 hours. Quite uncommon these days, it doesn't go on a regular basis.

I went to an “assembly” in January and it was something out of Family Guy.

As soon as the opposition guy started complaining about roads and infrastructure, the house started beating their tables like bongo drums and shouting as if it were a preacher’s block.

They all quietly sat down while the next-in-line son of the MPA spoke nonsensical rubbish to conclude. They ate cookies and samosas with Kashmiri chai afterwards and boom.

The hearing was over.

It was an absolute theatrical sham but highly entertaining for an outsider like yours truly.
