Srinagar: A major tragedy was averted in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday after a man was caught with two grenades and a detonator at an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said.
Rajinder Singh, a resident of Kalakote area, was noticed moving suspiciously during a recruitment rally in Surankote and was stopped by the army. A C-90 grenade, a UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) grenade and a detonator were recovered from his possession, Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Ramesh Kumar Angral said.

He was immediately arrested and handed over to police for further investigation.

An FIR was registered against the man, the police officer said, adding that police will ascertain from where he got the explosive material and what was his motive.

"We are open to all the angles and a thorough investigation is on in the case," he said.

News agency PTI, quoting sources said Army personnel noticed the man moving suspiciously outside the Army camp around 10.15 am and stopped him for checking. Hundreds of youngsters were present at the camp at the time.

Last week, two people were killed and over 30 were injured when a teenager threw a grenade at a crowded bus stand in Jammu.

I am not usually the one who looks at names of terrorists but a terrorist named Rajender singh does ring alarm bells. (Notice how the Indian media isnt calling him terrorist but simply "man" ).

Last week there was a grenade attack on Jammu bus stand on civilians. Everybody and his dog knows that militant outfits in J&K only attack military personnel and not civilians so it did raise some suspicion at that time. Now this man has been caught with a grenade outside army camp.

My question to Indian PPers is, do you think something is fishy?

Not surprising at all that you are laughing at death and destruction at loss of life and that too of people you claim to be your own countrymen.

Not at all, I'm laughing at the complete ignorance of that poster and his claim which I have refuted with links.

I am not ignorant at all on these events. Quite telling that all you could find is 2-3 such incidents lol.

Now that you have decided to embarrass yourself here, let everybody know which militant organisation claimed to have carried out these attacks. Militant organisations in conflict zones like Kashmir operate as per some standard procedures which includes claiming the attacks after carrying them out. Look at any attack in last 30 years, you will find that they have been claimed by one outfit or the other. So going by trends, these attacks should also be claimed by someone. If not, then we cant say who carried them out.

Finally, dont derail the thread which is about current events.

Modi's 5 year rule has been the best thing to happen to Pakistan. The hate he has spread and made mainstream will consume India. Long may he reign.

Some posters have a habit of trying to derail threads. The thread is about a hindu man being caught with grenades in Jammu just a week after a grenade attack on civilians there. And he is talking about some unclaimed attacks which happened in the past.

Reading this post, any one will know first hand who has been humiliated and is now trying to cover it up trying to rationalizing his original claim. Here is what you posted in plain words -

Everybody and his dog knows that militant outfits in J&K only attack military personnel and not civilians

What does the above post of yours imply? I posted links to attacks on common civilians carried out by Kashmiri militants.

When you are in a hole, stop digging further.

Was it you or any other poster?

What stupidity is this? Can you read what i wrote and what you are replying with? Am i missing something here?

Yes i wrote that. But the thread isnt about it. Do i really have to explain this to you?

When you lie in a thread, it will be busted by other posters irrespective of whether the thread is about that topic or not.

Who lied in the first place, you or me? And I'm not posting my opinions, I have busted your lie with links.

What you are missing is that you made a false statement. And now that you have been caught lying, you are trying to divert the topic.

I am not diverting the topic. The links of attacks which you have posted, nobody has claimed those attacks. So you are by default assuming that they must be carried out by militants which isn't how it works. The attack must be claimed by someone. For instance Hizb categorically denied the amarnath attack. If you want to believe what your government tells you, then thats your problem not mine.

You might have busted something but its not a lie because there is no lie here. Just a misunderstanding on your part which you are stretching further to embarrass yourself more while at the same time derailing the thread.

Here is my take on it.. the terrorist is a Hindu nationalist charged with this act so it can be blamed on Pakistan or Muslim Kashmiris and can result in more violence and Hindu-Muslim riots, and give Modi another shot at war mongering. It is quite clear now that such is his strategy at winning elections.

So a guy can drive up unnoticed with 350kg of explosives towards a military convoy and nobody stops him, and a Hindu guy who is walking "suspiciously" is caught with grenades.

Either this is false flag or Pulawama was false flag. Modi needs death and destruction to be relected and we see this playing out right infront of our eyes.

I think kind of same thing happened once in USA, FBI busted a group of white extremists who wanted to attack innocents and blame it on muslims.

I am sure India will conduct a false flag in next few months. They just can't see Pakistan progressing.

Yes, sir. I immediately thought of that incident when i read this development.
You are 100% correct

The false flag will be more to get votes than cause any damage to Pakistan. The recent action from Pakistan should have put them on notice that this crap ain’t gonna fly with us..
like the ongoing memes on internet “we have put the kettle up” and there is more cups where the last one came from! :)

These false flags will only strengthen Pakistan’s unity and our resolve. We are more vigilant and determined now than we were over the last 20 years.

It is not about Pakistan. It is totally about Indian politics and the race to stay in power. Some Indian politicians will do anything to stay in power even if it means other Indians die.

Rajinder Singh huh..maybe a Babbar Khalsa enthusiast or an RSS goon trying to pin this down on some kashmiri. Opposition parties, if they have an inch of intelligence, should pounce on this and not leave it. This could be important for elections if they can find RSS links.

Does this make you doubt the official reports about the grenade attack last week?

If not for elections, don't think people care much about Pakistan or it's progress. Infact businessmen on both sides want Pakistan to progress as the potential trade is close to 40 bil USD. Pak and Imran should continue focussing on dismantling terror networks. Once the elections are over and if there is a clear mandate, the next 5 years could be defining for indopak relations in the future.

It sure does. The modus operandi was different and the victims too compared to jihadi attacks. Did they release the name of that terrorist that threw the grenade under the bus? I saw in the news that he was captured.

India cares a lot about Pakistan and it will never let Pakistan(or any of India's smaller neighbours) to prosper significantly.

its pretty hard for pakistan to dismantle terror networks, when the networks originate from new delhi. run by the butcher of gujrat himself

We should do a surgical strike on Delhi.. using our pigeons armed with nuclear explosives. Lol

The other day India used a SU-30 (the best jet they got) to shoot down a Pakistani toy drone, the kind of which are used in HBL PSL to drop the ball :))

You need surgeons first. I heard a bunch of Pakistanis go to India for surgeries. Pigeons can wait.
