Can't be a draw. If it goes all twelve, the judges will give it to Floyd even if Manny is the actual winner. Manny has to knock him out.
 
Mayweather with late stoppage as pac man will get sloppy and get knocked out late in the fight.
 
I think Mayweather will win on points.

by beating an old man that was past his peak in the worst HW division in UFC history, if he was so good he wouldn't have lost to cain and he would have opted to sign with the UFC but because he is afraid of getting hit in the face he chooses the easy option which is to stick to Fake Wrestling and that's good for him, we don't want Lesnar to suffer another serious injury now do we
 
Can't wait for the fight. The hype is insane. Lot of people saying it should have happened earlier but I think the long wait has turned it into a monster of an event. There should be a rematch regardless of the result post which both fighters should retire capping off two legendary careers.
 
I would love it if Manny could give Floyd his first ever loss but the brain says Floyd will come out on top.

The biggest advantage Pacman has is that he has lost before so he has nothing to lose and he will go all out. Another loss won't be that devastating for him. Whereas Mayweather has everything to lose being undefeated. His whole legacy is under threat.

want manny to win. But expect Floyd to churn out an exciting points victory or perhaps a tko in the 8th or 9th.
 
Like most people here I would love to see Manny win, but I just think his style is made for Mayweather. Floyd is just too smart to get caught by Pacquiao's pressure game and he will pick him off on the counter. Still it promises to be a great fight to watch, just would love for it to have been 4 years ago when the PacMan was at his peak.

Personally, I would love to see Manny get the win however my head says go with Mayweather - he's just a defensive wizard.
 
Manny is going to win, am betting my student loan on it. Floyd has not fought someone like Manny, he will counter shots but not all of them. Pacman throws them in bunches at different angles whilst maintaining a high work rate
 
Floyd has been unusually quiet to, could be fear or focus. Either can be seen as a good or bad thing. Manny on the other hand has been very confident and even moreso with the whole born again Christian Thing. He truly believes it will be his night, he believes Floyd will be defeated by the fist of God :afridi

People are underestimating God's influence in his fight :))

Have been out of touch with boxing for the last couple of years but this fight has spiked up my interest

The sense I get is that Mayweather is still close to the level he was 2-3 years ago whereas Pacman's fall has been alarming in the last year or 2. Ppl are saying in recent months he has been looking as good as he was a few years ago but I'd be surprised if he can just up his game to that level in the course of such a fight.

Also depends on the tactics Pacquiao applies. Mayweather will be ready to play a patient game and Pacquiao might just play into his hands

I see a 48-0 coming.

Been a floyd fan since 2001, first fight I watched him in was Emmanuel Augustus. This was followed by the tremendous performance against Corrales.

is there seriously something wrong with you :))) you do know in boxing there is something called strategy/style, floyd is a counter puncher. Brock is a coward by nature unless you want to call this his strategy/MMA style:

His best performance for me was against Oscar what you reckon, he was behind and came back spectacularly although it did help that Oscar gassed in second half of the fight. I like Floyd's skill in the ring to, hate it when people question his skill given his bad rep outside the squared circle. Absolutely despite who he is but admire his work ethic, no one works harder then floyd and I have to say he is the smartest man in boxing and the best promoter. Yes he is a notorious cherry picker but one hell of a business man, so underrated in that regard

Floyd finally got the courage to accept the challenge, i wouldn't have stepped in the ring with manny even with a gun after what he did to hatton and cotto, it was an outrageous demand tbh one that emphasised his fear which is a normal/human thing. On the other hand it was a 50/50 fight and one which Manny could seriously have won, it was a smart decision from Floyd as a promoter to avoid it. Had he lost, his pay days would not have been so big in the fights following that defeat and now when Manny is no longer invincible; the prospect of one big final pay day before you retire is one you can't disregard and the hype surrounding the fight proves that.

Oscar was a good performance, for me his best performance was Coralles. To knock down Diego 6 times and stop him was unbelievable at the time.

Even Roach is on record as saying pacquiao is the reason for the fight not going ahead the first time, saying he was scared of needles when he has a body full of tattoos was BS.

If it was such a BS demand, why did Pacquiao incorporate drug testing into his fights later on? IMO both camps were equally at fault for the fight not happening, both camps were happy for there guys to make 30-40M a fight for the next 5/6 fights before these two eventually met. It's just Floyd gets the blame because he's the villain and Pacquiao is the hero.

Had they fought back in early 2010, this fight wouldn't be nearly as big as it is now. Both sides are very smart and they knew this, they've just dragged us along the whole time.

He's on record saying taking his blood makes him weak if not physically, psychologically. Why should he have given in to such an absurd demand, Does every fighter get tested before a fight? now that is the definition of BS and an excuse for floyd to dodge because it was in his best interest to pass on this one. Sure it wasn't entirely Floyds fault and Bob Arum was a big obstacle in negotiations but Manny had nothing to lose even if he had lost that fight but floyd had everything to lose, it was a risky fight and his pay days in the future would have been a lot less. The hype is more now because of the long wait but to say it wouldn't have been big then is insane, both were at their absolute peak and manny was a beast. Boxing is a business, all about low risk and high reward, floyd is a genius at that.

He has learned to overcome that fear and is more prepared psychologically but lets not be delusional in thinking it wasn't a ploy from floyd to find a way to get out of a fight against a beastly manny.

This is such crap, I don't know if any of you have followed the negotiations over the years. How about the time they were close to fight in May 2012 yet Bob Arum didn't want to fight in May (Cinco de Mayo - no brainer to fight then) because he wanted to make an outdoor stadium for the fight? So the fight didn't go ahead.

Where is this outdoor stadium? Still not made yet the fights going ahead at the MGM anyway.

Utter crap he's learned to overcome the fear, he got knocked out, believed JMM was doping and started doing blood tests in his own fights. There was no fear in the first place.

Floyd is experienced both in and out of the ring. :)) On a serious note, I am absolutely bricking it as the fight edges closer. #TMT
 
I think this is the last fight of this magnitude that we'll ever get to witness. Boxing has been on the decline for many years now and only the welterweight division has kept it alive thanks to these two. Once they call it quits that is it for boxing.

Random Testing my backside, they wanted to test him a day before the fight etc he eventually prepared now after JMM fight; besides who the hell is that woman beater to make up rules in boxing. And it's incredibly naive to think one wouldn't be affected in any way if someone wanted to take their blood before a fight and that too first time when they weren't mentally prepared for it, it was a curve ball which floyd threw at manny because he didn't want to fight him or else he wouldn't go around asking him to accept a retarded flat fee of 40 mill.

The Woman Beater feared Manny and is a smart business man in cherry picking opponents after they've lost some fights, are declining or paying a fine when he comes in over the agreed weight limit. His chances at beating Manny are significantly better, it's not that he wouldn't have beaten him in 2009 it's just that Manny had a better chance then;anyhow floyd was too afraid to fight him and no.2 it wouldn't have been a good business move given the risk involved.

Both are very experienced, may weather is more wily and manny is more of a large puncher

May weather wins if it goes all 12 rounds
 
Personally I hope Manny puts an end to that foul mouthed "I'm better than Muhammad Ali" egomaniac Floyd but i guess everyone knows Mayweather is the favourite here.

Who's floyd to make the rules? Floyd brought in Random Drug Testing and now all the big fights have it.

I heard the same thing about the Lewis v Tyson fight, then we had Oscar vs Floyd and people said what you've just said. Now we've got Floyd Vs Pac and you're coming out with it.

It was a big excuse he used to run away from a fearsome fighter at his peak and offering retarded flat fees. Who cares what anyone says; floyd got cussed by majority of critics for his cowardice, only good for fighting guys on the decline whilst avoiding those that are stylistically difficult.

They've always had random drug testing. It's just that Floyd wanted pre match testing a day or two before which he asked for nobody else but Pacquiao. It was pretty obvious has implying that Manny was juicing. Well they apologised for that eventually.

Not long after that, Pacquiao sued Mayweather for defamation and slander for saying that he had used performance-enhancing drugs, which Pacquiao has always denied. The case was ultimately settled out of court with Mayweather paying Pacquiao an undisclosed seven-figure sum.
