Yeah man, it's been living up to it's reputation thus far. Haven't seen too many episodes, but so far so good.

watching it on episode 7 of season 2 not sure about the main enemy yet Punisher was cool as ever..I wanted him to team up with DD.

She could be in it, all these series are going to lead to the "defenders" a show from netflix with the likes of daredevil, jessica jones, luke cage, iron fist and maybe some other characters to as a team which takes on the forces of good and evil :yk

Simon 619=Shaz 619? :)

Dont mean to steal anybody's thunder, I honestly did not realize there already was a DD thread out there.

I finished season 2 last night. Then I read the reviews and was surprised to see how most of them were mixed. I honestly thought it was a a damn good watch. The way they interwove the storylines of The Punisher, Electra, The Hand, Kingpin, etc, it was very very engaging. You have to keep in mind, there is a bit of a supernatural added this season due to the Hand, so its not entirely as grounded in reality as the first season was, but then again no superhero fiction is meant to be grounded in reality.

The Punisher stole the show in my opinion. Brutal and brash, he was the one common denominator in most of the storylines floating around in season 2.

It was a joke and there's a 619 in all of us :yk

Not got around to watching it yet but would you say it's better then season 2 or on par with it? do you think the quality has been affected in anyway as the director was changed for season 2 given that deknight had to move on to another project. IGN have given the series around about a 9/10

Of course bro .
I know you were pulling my leg

It's hard to compare. It's different this time. DD and kingpin dynamic was the center piece in the first one. This one is focused more on the interwoven storylines. I may have to rewatch season 1 for a good comparison but I certainly liked season 2. Better than Jessica Jones for sure..

Started watching and first 3 episodes were so damn good they have really taken action to the next level this time with the whole staircase fight between Daredevil and Dogs of hell is really something.

The best thing is the way it is being directed it has such comics-cartoon feel to it with the noises in background, window and building scenes such a treat to watch!

Jessican Jones had such a Max Payne feeling to it and hope they gradually switch to "Daredevil" mode soon.
Madplayer try watching this bro if you like batman cartoon you will like the direction of this one.

I did not like this mythological and super natural stuff. I was more interested in the philosophical talk in the church and i wanted more of law here, witty dialogue and courtroom stuff.

Nevertheless, there is plenty of action.

Spot on! I finished watching season 2 few months ago, thoroughly enjoyed it although season 1 I found to be slightly stronger. They did so well to depict the punisher character! and I read that they are planning to create a spin off series out of him to. This season I'd also agree that the action was incredible, I'd only critique the narrative slightly in that we never quiet got the pay off to the storyline developments but I guess it's a good way to get us excited for the season 3 but what season 1 did was it gave us the pay off to the narrative whilst simultaneously planting a few seeds for season 2.

Am not a huge fan of Marvel and haven't read much of their comics but DareDevil has been one of their characters which is my favourite. I think Jessica Jones has formed it's own identity, it may be in the same universe but it has more of a psychological drama/detective element to it.

TBH season 2 was a huge let down and kind of a drag. I hope season 3 lives up to the standard of season 1, which was mind-blowing.

Netflix is going to have a spin off series for Punisher and Lucas Cage, they have one for Jessica Jones already. Maybe having these many series within the same comic universe is having an effect on DD's quality.

I personally felt it was fine imo although I have to say that season 1 was better and that's a good point, one could argue that the double D should remain individual. Their goal is to create the defenders and given that all those MCU characters are connected to each other in the same universe a distinct world is unlikely.

Yeah man, felt the second half of the second season going down inspite of so many new character introduction but still way better than some of their or DC movies,Luke Cage is coming next month looks good as well.

JaDed Have you seen The Defenders ? what did you make of it

Defenders was baqwas... I was so disinterested for most of it.

Sadly not bro, don't know why suddenly lost interest ...would probably watch punisher though.

Good job you've not watched it :)) the production value is amazing as expected in addition to the action sequences, while the season has been decent there are just too many plot holes and incoherent story lines. It actually ruins some pivotal talking points from past MCU shows. Think you should avoid it, I agree Punisher is something 100% to look forward to and going by Netflix's record outside the Iron Fist it should be pretty decent plus the guy portraying Frank Castle did a terrific job during DareDevil season 2 and I enjoyed how they bought him into the MCU.

I suppose it was always going to be tough with multiple leads in The Defenders but the characters actually had chemistry between them it's just the stuff beyond that which was pretty poor. They should fast track DareDevil season 3 already ! or Jessica Jones or Luke Cage :mv

Big Mac The Iron Fist is portrayed like one big baby in The Defenders lmao and Luke, Jones and Murdoch were there to do the babysitting

I enjoyed Defenders and also Iron fist was better in defenders.

It was ok I give it about a 7/10 but could have been better.

And come on, the Iron Fist is probably the worst depicted marvel character in recent times. He is supposed to be a lot more authoritative and ntelligent; we're talking about a guy that should be a master of every martial art. In the show he comes across as a confused pansy who needs baby sitting, he's often dominated by other fighters to despite his speciality as an expert martial artist and has a very low IQ while fighting and when he is not.

I am bad in explanation, but I will try. Well on the first action of Iron fist was better in defenders. Second point is , Marvel wants to portray Fist same as you have described like low IQ or cocky, or whatever you want to say and that too, successfully.
When I understood that Marvel didn't end up doing wrong but they wanted portrayed the character same , I enjoyed more.
The real question should be why Marvel making Iron fist character like a child, pansy, low iq person? This situation is not like BVS where warner brothers wanted to make something else and it ended up something worse. In this case Marvel is doing intentionally for some reason.

You have explained it really well and I agree, they have portrayed the character like that which is confusing. Not criticising the actor who plays the Iron Fist because he is good but I don't agree with the script written for him

On Ep 5 and really good so far shaz619 ,defn worth it.

Really liked Daredevil, but wasn't really a fan of the other Defenders shows. Will I need to watch the other shows to understand season 3? Or does this have it's own plotline?

I think all you need to know is what happened during the Defenders

Don't worry about it, DD3 works well on it own, as well. They will show the recap if required and totally different line.

Finished the seasons better than season 2 , thank god! I was starting to lose faith in Marvel!

Have watched the first 3 episodes so far.

Watching it simultaneously with Titans and Agents of SHIELD.

Daredevil is seriously the best Marvel Netflix show out there
(well only 3 remain anyway lol).

Probably the best comic book show ever.

No you wont.

However apart from Iron Fist S1 I really enjoyed the other shows.

Luke Cage S2 had a few good episodes but got boring in the middle.

Plenty of action in this season as well. But it still can't match originality of first season. Nevertheless, a very good season.

I hope MARVEL cut down other below average stuff and produce DareDevil and The Punisher every year.

Disney is launching it's own streaming service next year so a lot of properties will be there.

Will check it out, just finished watching the haunting in hill house which is another amazing series btw

Season 3 of Daredevil was outstanding. Probably the best one yet. Story was well-layered, had some really interesting conflicts at the center and a good measure of gritty and well-choreographed action. I also loved the new characters: Ray Nadeem and Dex. They brought a really interesting dynamic to the show.

‘Daredevil’ Canceled at Netflix After Three Seasons

Netflix is ready to say goodbye to Matt Murdoch.

The streaming service has canceled “Daredevil” after three seasons, Variety has learned. The superhero action-drama debuted its third season in October.

It’s the latest casualty in Netflix’s Defenders universe. The move to cancel the drama, produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, comes on the heels of Netflix pulling the plug on “Luke Cage,” and “Iron Fist,” related Marvel shows set in the same narrative world as “Daredevil.”

“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. “We’re thankful to showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”

could never figure out what exact ethnicity Nadeem was! looked half Muslim/half hindu :)Guess he was some sort of stereotypical India/Pak immigrant

They mentioned in the show that his family was from Bihar, India.

Why oh why would netflix cancel their cash cow, probably the best show in NETFLIX!! Latest season was very impressive as well. COME ON!!!

Yeah. Guessing he was an Indian-American immigrant. Liked his arc.
