Rest of the World made 293/7 in 50 overs.

Is it enough or MCC will chase this down?
 
More than enough. MCC don't have enough current batsmen. Sidde, Afridi and maybe even the two legendary spinners will get them all out for under 200.

Warne can't bowl in the match. ROW a bowler short as well so some hope for MCC. However, they have Yuvi as a part-timer who's good enough.
 
MCC will do well to score 250.. Just want the legends do well on this occasion..
 
Guess lee wasn't bullshitting when he used to say those many beamers he bowled were accidental.
 
Afridi would want to redeem himself. I expect a couple of x-man poses from him.

peak, how come this guy gets to swear and I get threatened to get banned if I do :))

but seriously, crap happens. It doesn't really matter if warnes out anyway, the guys he's up against used to regularly destroy him...Lara, Sachin, Dravid and even Chanders has gotten the better of him.
 
Let's see if Afridi can get some wickets and not look like a total fool in the tournament
 
Well there goes 25% of excitement about this match with Warne. The last 75% remains with Lara for me!

So ajmal wasnt the only party pooper in the match. :P :P there goes sachin vs warne rivalry and ofcourse lara vs warne too.

Sad man.. I was eagerly watching only for Sachin vs Warne.. We still have Lara vs Murali though..
 
I hope the ball wasn't damaged from that beamer to Warne. They are expensive, those Duke balls.

Apprently, some Indians think that Sachinis the best thing since sliced bread and everyone should realize his greatness. They're very easily offended as can be seen in the aftermath of that incident. Which is a shame since Sach himself is a great guy and would be sad that he has such pathetic fans.
 
Before second innings started we already have 2 injuries. And its not even an international match.

I think ICC should give this match an honorary international status.

Why is everyone expecting these players to put in their 100% efforts in an exhibition match. They are here just for celebrations and a good purpose and not for competition or win accolades for their countries. They are bound to take this easy and have some fun.

Already an old fella is down and another current cricketer has succumbed to his own fitness traumas after bowling 12 balls, don't want to see Afridi or Siddle pulling their hamstrings.
 
tino is like akther but half the brain, akther had more speed and variation. Both try to bowl fast as much as possible though, tino has nothing to back with his aggression. just pathetic !

Actually because people are paying to watch this all over the world? Very poor attitude when you take money from people. If someone is not professional enough to deliver goods in one place, he/she will never do it in any walk of life
 
Playing the game in England was a mistake due to the rain. It should have been played in Iran. They are having a lovely period of weather over there.
 
Looks a good chase! Hopefully they can get all overs in.. Wanna see Lara and Sachin partnership!

Apart from Ajmal's first spell, this match hasn't lived up to the expectations, sorry to say.
 
The quality of cricket has been abysmal.

But to be honest, if you are going to play retired players, play 22 retired players who have been retired for a while. At least there won't be any disparity in quality.

I know but I was more disappointed with guys like Gul and Tait and that absolutely blood-sucking middle period where Finch and Vettori were bowling in tandem and both the batsmen hit very few great shots.

Yeah, it was a scratchy innings but obviously his insecurity cannot accept that. Can't believe people are quoting that solitary six like it was a huge achievement. :))

If Viv or Tendulkar played it, it would have been called genius.

Ajmal was not the only bowler he was facing.. at least get out of your one viewing glasses to appreciate the innings which put ROW in a winning position..from where they were.. to get out for less than 100.

Take a deep breath and relax. You yourself have admitted that it was a sratchy innings so my original post remains valid. I'm not talking about the impact of that innings.

The fact that you want people to accept that Ajmal's performance > Yuvraj's performance shows your insecurity.

10 overs, 39 runs, 4 wickets is by no means better than Yuvraj's performance. I am sorry, but beating the bat 3 times isn't that big a deal. Specially when someone like Ishant does that to batsman almost every over.
