Interestingly, not a single post made by posters understand the issue here. Everyone just have an issue that why is Hafeez talking.
Hafeez has a point.
The chairman election was made compulsory by ICC, but Pakistan has managed to exploit the chairman election.
Basically, to be a chairman you need to be a a member of Board of Director. Each director is responsible for his own city, and elections are held amongest them. The winner is made Chairman.
Pakistani Pms have found a loophole in this. What they do basically is, if they want for example Rameez Raja to be made Chairman, they would first make him a BOG member for a few days, and than have elections held immediately. Any other BOG member who may stand against him would be told that he could lose his BOG membership. Thus, to make sure they dont lose their membership, they just tow the line and vote for the person that the PM asked them to.
Basically, Rameez Raja gets a direct entry into chairmanship without serving as BOG member and looking after any of the city cricket.
The whole election is flawed, and Hafeez has a point as at the end of the day, a person is selected to be chairman. The layering they do is just dramaybazi. Like an illegal business that pays taxes. They might be paying taxes but they are still laundering money.
Also, posters who are bashing Hafeez that he has no right to talk, I think out of all of us, ex cricketers or recent former cricketers have more of a right to talk than just US FANS.. These cricketers have better idea of whats happening and any such decisions affect them. Fans who dont know anything are the least effect individuals. Thus, posters here who are saying that Hafeeez has no right to talk or calling him a bitter ex cricketer are just being illogical.
This is just how, the company you work in, you have issue with the new boss that is coming in. Yet your mother in law, who has no relation or has no say in this matter says, that the employees should learn to keep their mouth shut and the new boss is a good thing.. THe new boss directly impacts the employees, not the mother in law.
