This may not be a popular opinion regarding Hafeez. I hated him for so many years for being mediocre throughout his career however when he was shifted down the order he has resurrected his career. Can someone post his stats since he started down the order? The dude can hit cleanly and with his technique could find gaps very easily something that has been missing with our lower order batsmen. Umar Akmal and Asif Ali can also give some 1-2 punch. This way we can compensate for players like Imam-ul-Haq slow and steady start.

I'm sorry to say but having Malik, Imam and Harris Sohail in playing 11, I can guarantee you that we will never be able touch 300 plus score and will be mediocre throughout the tournament. We need to be more aggrssive and go with attacking players. Atleast we will have a fighting chance to make some noise. Otherwise it will be same old same old crap! Malik and Imam will struggle in fast pitches and against quality opponents. IMO we need Imam there is no better replacement but SOhail and Malik are replaceable.

Imam has to stay as we need atleast 1 stable opener, Sohail is needed as his spin is useful and if he can show a bit more urgency with bat then he can be brilliant for the team.Hafeez ,Zaman and Imad are the only guys who can score quick runs in this poor batting lineup.

Fakhar zaman opening with babar followed by haris hafeez and Asif/umar akmal is possible the best we can field at the moment I dont know what are selectors up to but they should have sticked to this combo and leave the rest to bowlers

Kick Imam & Shan, open with Babar & Fakhar with Shehzad as 1 down.

Keep Akmal, keep asif out of the squad, rubbish.

Kick Malik, bring in Hafeez.

Keep Haris.

Average, Slogger, Hack vs Average, Above Average, Below Average.

With the 1st combination you will win one game and lose 9 on the trot.

With 2nd combination you will win 2 games out of every 10 played.

10 percent vs 20 percent … not much of a difference.

But I simply would pick the 1st because I don't want to watch paint dry.

None of the Pakistani batsmen have any flair and most of them are devoid of any strokeplay. The best of them is an on song Hafeez but he needs to have a great day to make it happen.

Imam, Haris and Hafeez should play if they are all fit and in decent form. Imam and Haris are two of our best batsmen while Hafeez can prove to be crucial for the team balance. However, Akmal should also be in the team, batting at #6.

Problem with hafeez is he is reluctant to play his shots, but he is gifted with sheer timing..

Similarly Haris Sohail has good technique against pace and has more time to play his shots

Both are good when on song but don’t play all the shots.
