We have been searching for a good wicket keeper batsman for a long time. Yesterday, Mohammad Hasan scored an unbeaten 251 against Lahore shalimar. I hope that Posters who follow closely domestic cricket, can give us more information about him. :)

yhh wud like to find a really good genuine keeper who can bat .... we dont even have a reallly gud genuine keeper atm

I think give a decent run to sarfaraz..... if WK are changed at the drop of hats it will never work.... People have to be patient with the players.... lt them develop at International level.

Completely agree with you, Sarfraz does have batting talent. Stick with him and give him the confidence.

This Hasan guy looks good him self. 250 odd is pretty good however it was scored against probably the weakest domestic side.

Once ODI became the major force in Cricket pedigree, Australia changed their policy of WK & I still think that's the best.

"Among the FC WK of the country, the best one with the gloves, REGARDLESS of his batting, 'll play in Test & the best one with the bat 'll play the ODI".

Even Phillips lost his place to Dyer/Joerar before they got someone best in both - Ian Hilly. Gilly started his ODI career about 7-8 years earlier than Test career & by '99, had Hilly not lost his keeping touch, I can guarantee, Gilly would have played Test as a specialist bat, not as a keeper over Hilly.

& I think this summer, Haddin is going to to loose his ODI place to Wayne (Or Wayte, that Victorian southpaw). PCB had that option to maintain a great competition between the ODI Keeper (Moin) & Test keeper (Latif) for a decade, which would have improved both's weaker side, unfortunately they failed to understand the ACB selection policy.

Wade? What's a southpaw?

He looks good but for now we should persisted with Sarfaraz for LOI and Adnan for tests.

I think he should be given the chance against weaker teams. So when Sarfraz gets injured or something, We have an experienced wicket keeper.

BTW Mohammad Hasan is a good batsmen but not a good keeper.

Take a look at his wicket keeping stats, don't just go on his batting.

Only 64 catches in 27 matches. For wicket keepers the number of catches should be the triple number of games in first class.

Would be better if he play's another season of domestic first class.

By stats Jamal Anwar is WAYYYY better then this guy. Jamal Anwar has taken 157 catches in 39 games, while Mohammad Hasan hasn't even taken 80 catches, which should be the number of catches after 27 games

good point :14:

Has potential, but to remain realistic, his performances have come in Division 2.

For now, we need to stick with Sarfraz and Adnan. Let them have a fair run, Adnan is already doing brilliantly for Pakistan in tests.

Plus, there are other keepers higher up the pecking order in domestic cricket.

I know it was only a benefit match but it was the first sight of him for me today, anyways and he looked pretty neat behind the stumps today and was compact with the bat. One to keep an eye on in the future, for sure.

Was that him? I thought this guy was Ahmed Hasan?

Edit: I guess you are right. :mib just called him "Mohammad Hassan"

Looked okay behind the stumps and played a few proper shots with the bat, but you can't really tell much after just one match

I don't know why this guy doesn't get any chances? As far as I have seen him,He has been a clutch player for Karachi and chased really well for a mediocre team whilst captaining the side and he's also a good keeper.Neither he is selected in PSL.I was shocked that Karachi Kings didn't pick for PSL in both seasons while preferring Saifullah Khan and Sangakkara the keeper over him

Three WK batsman are better than him including Saif. Saif was nervous first season and got very few chances in 2nd season where in one match He did impress.

The Pak U-19 keeper of Saud Shakeel, Sami Aslam batch is also good along with another 20 years old who had good grade 2 season for Khi.

Sangakarra is an ATG. Even at 39 He took a superman esque blinder for Kings.
