Im tired of saying it again and again due to revamped structure kookabura is used for one day and t-20 and grace for fc.

How did this guy look?
Pace, swing, control
4-12 off 10 overs are wonderful figures for 17 yr old
if he is the same pacer that played in ramadan t20 tournoment, then he is at 3/4 years older and is like 125kph bowler.

Pakistan lacks diversity of names, too many names get recycled too many times.
yes he is in wapda but you cant drop mohammad ali , waqas maqsood and azhar attari who have don so well for last 5 years

azhar attari swings the ball a lot , i watched him from U-19 wc 2008 , he was top wicket tajer in last A a year before last year , waqas maqsood had 50+ wickets in last year fc so no place for irfan maybe if someone gets injured only then.
but mohammad ali wapda premiere bowler is also droped for naveed ul hassan

One of the better young bowlers around based on the small snippet.

Any Coach in Pakistan Cricket who has improve his Jump, Non Bowling Arm use and eradicate his pause before delivering the ball ? He will than become 150kph nasty Windies 80's 90's like pacer.
Had he been in Quetta Gladiators squad than IAN PONT would have been a great help for him.

Had a look at him and Chief Destroyer was right indeed.
His bowling style, body structure & bowling action is very much West Indian like, therefore can be a very good prospect indeed. 150KM might be a bit over expectation, but that's not required either - someone 6'3/4" with a high arm action, bowling at the business areas at 140KM is more than enough.
As usual, my only concern with emerging PAK pacers is their age - he is listed around 19 now, if he is genuine U21; there is lots of potential to work with; may be even at U23; but after that it's too late to be honest. It (bunking 3-5 years of age) doesn't impact batsmen that much, because a batsman's bets years can be between 23 to 38, may be even more; therefore with experience, he can make up 3/4 years of over aging in the wrong side. Same can be said for spinners - at 38, Zulfi was one of the best spinners in PAK (at 38 - that 4/5 years ago); but for pacers, it's near impossible to start learning fundamentals of fast bowling at 25 - by the time he is ready to learn the art of getting batmen out, he might be 29.
First thing I look in an unknown PAK players' (pacers) profile is his his age - if it's over 23, I even don't bother to look for stats - most likely, he is 4-5 years in to his best age already, training or coaching won't improve him much. May be sounds a bit harsh, but I hardly missed with my initial filter.
17 was his reported age 2 years ago but it wasn't correct and thankfully it was corrected. He is not 19 officially, He is 21 years and 198 days old which means he was 19 couple of years ago.
With 150 I did not mean that i expect him to be a Express pacer rather I meant someone like Kallis of his peak who would operate between 138 to 146 kph and would crank it upto 150 kph on his effort deliveries whenever he wanted to.
Currently Irfan is bowling between 133 to 143 kph range so definitely he can improve if he works on things I have mentioned especially use of non bowling arm and removing the pause due to which he loses alot of momemtum through the crease.
Irfan isn't 6'3 infact he is 6'5 6'6 and if he and Irfanullah Shah play for Pakistan than they would be 2nd & 3rd tallest Players to represent Pakistan after Mohammad Irfan senior.
Yes you are right. Zulfiqar Babar might have surpassed Iqbal Qasim in wicket tally plus Ave & SR if he made his debut in 2007-2008. His best years were 2009-2014 where he did not play for Pakistan. Had he got a game in 2010 England Tour where he was in the squad than it might have ended Rehman's Career but after that Rehman bowled very well and it was difficult for Zulfiqar to break into Pakistan team.
Wrt age Abass will be 27 Officially in March and he played his first ever competitive match in June 2007 for Sialkot Under 19. So what do you think about his Age & Prospects ? He bowls at 130 to 138 kph.

His current age is 21 now, officially, playing for National Bank, not Wapda. He is not their first line bowler, has played 4 out of 8 matches this season. Other than his height , nothing in his bowling, particularly runup is impressive, so far.

Excellent Post.
How tall is ehsan adil?
I also didn't find his name in WAPDA team sheet (& there are so many Irfans that I didn't try to find which one).
I think, height is something you are are blessed with. A player of 170cm hardly can be a fast bowler with every bit of skills, unless he can reach 155KM (that too is near impossible for bio-mechanics - a player with that height won't have enough momentum to push the ball that hard in air unless he is like a barrel, but that structure won't allow him to run fast, which is the key of speed), but a bowler of 195cm height can bee good to great if he has decent pace & knowledge/control of seem position.
In South Asia, we never give importance to physical structure - kids with natural skills start to play at their best position & by the time they reach 18/19, it's too late for them to change their core area. Our best Football GK was Mohsin - after faking 2/3 inch, he was listed 5'9" - brilliant, brilliant shot stopper with top class reflex; but he was sent back at his prime from Pro League in ENG (Then Division 2) even without trial. That guy was equally good with ball skills at U16 level, but instead of being reserve winger for his club team, he decided to be 1st choice GK at 15 & nobody gave him good advice. In sports developed countries, a kid of 13 will never be allowed to invest time in a core skill (or sports), for which, his physique doesn't suit.
Irfan might not be most skilled, but he has some natural gift, upon which he can build his career, if he is genuine 21 - there is only 1 McGrath, ever will remain 1; but a 21 years old, 6'5" young man can be as god a Sabbir Ahmed, if he is willing to be. PAK cricket has no structure, neither scouting, hence the tallest Irfan started career at 28 (you can safely add another 2/3 with that). Imagine, same Irfan starting FC career in 1999 & been groomed for the next 3-5 years by professionals on how to manage work load, fitness & how to use his height to his advantage - he learnt only the last one at official 31 !!!!!!!!
I've watched him live and I can assure you he is a 135 KPH+ bowler. When Nick Cummins was asked which player was the most impressive from the LQ squad he said Irfan along with Rabbani. His arm speed is quiet slow I will be surprised even if he touches 140k , more likely 130-135k bowler and his action and runup is not the best either , lots of work required.
Irfan needs to improve his fitness plus needs to eliminate his stagger just before delivering the ball. He stops and loses atleast 8kph because he loses momemtum. Also needs to use his non bowling arm better. If he can do that than He will become a scary 70's, 80's like tall West Indian fast bowlers. But I am sorry we don't have any Professional Coach to do these things professionally and scientifically. Give Irfan to high performance centre of Australia for 4-5 months and than see a threatening Fast bowler a strike bowler come out.

If PCB ask CA will they agree to enroll him in their High Performance centre say for 4 months ? Charging PCB around 25,000-50,000 AUD
CA rules of business allows this ?

No idea but I would hope we don't let opposition players use our resources like that
Ellipsism Chief Destroyer Should he be included in the odi series vs the west indies ? Just Like Stanlake was included in the australian squad.....
3-26 on his PSL debut for Qalandars.
Disgraceful action though.
