Definitely deserves to be in the T20 side ahead of Sarfraz.

I’d take an overweight Umar Akmal over a prime rizwan Anyday.
Rizwan has no game.
Is Mohammad Rizwan destined to be a 'specialist' Pakistan A player?!
Last time I saw him, he couldn’t play spin to save his life. Also got into awkward positions when playing balls coming into his body.
Maybe he has improved.
Deserves a run at number 6 in ODIs in place of Asif Ali for sure. Fantastic fielder too.
He's not even 10% of Asif Ali.
You want to drop our only hitter after Fakhar, LMAO.
Rizwan is like a headless chicken under lights when it comes to intl level batting and opposition.
Asif Ali is not good enough to bat at 6 in ODIs. Lacks batting intelligence, and he will be a liability in situations where he is unable to hit due to his lack of strike rotating ability.
I think Rizwan deserves a shot, so does Hussain Talat, and also Hasan Mohsin in a year or two.
Asif Ali is the ideal 6, once becomes consistent.
Hussain Talat is good as well.
Rizwan is not good enough.
If he does not go to SA then Inzi has to be kicked out.
It's a long tour, I would be very surprised if Rizwan isn't selected.

Sarfaraz is not going anywhere till WC. I don't see Rizwan's place in our ODI team.
I highly doubt he will repeat these performances at international level, but on current form he deserves a look-in. Just don't be disappointed when it all goes pear-shaped for Rizwan down the line.Usman Chadda you still want to pick Sarfraz ahead of Rizwan even in the ODI series with form

Either this, or we should conclude that A-Team squads and performances are irrelevant. MMHS , Sarfaraz is still safe of course.
He is in sublime form and at 26, he is at the peak of his batting career. He should definitely be recalled for the limited overs squad.
Sarfraz has not been producing results with the bat in limited overs cricket lately, nevertheless he still remains the first choice for now. But Rizwan deserves his place in 15 member Pakistan limited over squad, purely on his batting credentials.
Rizwan's inclusion might propell Sarfraz to get off his butt and work extra hard on his game. Personally speaking, I believe Sarfraz has a higher ceiling than Rizwan, who was downright terrible in his last outing in international cricket. But if Rizwan really has improved his game, he should definitely be inducted into the team to make use of his good form.Agreed I'm not for a second implying that he will be able to transfer anywhere near these stats into internationals.
My point is Sarfraz post CT has been a poor captain and is a just a passenger in the team. He doesn't want to take much responsibility with the bat when he is needed at 4/5 but instead chooses to hide down at 7 despite being an incompetent hitter.
I think the first step is let him play 1-2 ODIs every series and see how he performs with the limited opportunities he gets. Mickey needs to enforce squad rotation, especially with the captain if he continues with this kind of output.

Should replace Sarfraz in both test and ODI teams right now, rather have an improving up and coming player then a passenger in the team.
Sarfaraz is good player and has served pakistan well but he is not imran khan or misba. who could be selected just for captaincy alon. its right time he is drafted in. sarfarz can play WC but after that he needs to go at least in T20 and odi. so pcb should plan now don't wast him.
further at the moment we are not performing in odi. he can easily come in. we did this with misba and afridi last time as well let them play WC at the cost of team success. so don't repeat same mistake thrice.
It is also in the interest of sarfarz as well. we all ways claim that pcb does unjustice to players. but players also do not read sitution well.
imagine we lose badly at WC which chances are high. than sarfaraz will have to go but at the cast of his reputation. but if he agrees to sacrifice he can bow out with grace.
I always maintained he should not be playing T20s this will further help his Test and ODI batting..
On the contrary, should be out of ODIs and probably Tests.
Lol Tests where his keeping is as good as any and so is his batting average if you compare with current regular keepers (give and take 2 runs). On the contrary, should be out of ODIs and probably Tests.
I do not know which matches you have been watching but Sarfraz has been performing this season since Asia cup. You do not expect a wicketkeeper to score in every match. Many current world wicket keepers who have been scoring more consistently do not play every match as a wicketkeeper and are not burden with captaincy in three formats. Sarfraz has also returned to prime form in keeping - why would you even consider replacing him?

The thread title is a joke though![]()
He has earned his chances after consistent performances in A team but Inzi already said before no backup wicket keeper would be selected as it would pressurize sarfraz.
I haven’t seen anyone look so helpless since 2014 when Fawad Alam was embarrassed by Australia in UAE.God, he was awful in Australia

I hope he gets a proper chance to bat in the 5th ODI to showcase his batting talent, we need to see if he has improved. Will be tough to take him to World Cup.

He is Captain, so should be safe. I don't think backing Sarfraz (Captain) is not wrong, but they made a blunder to make a WK Captain for 3 formats, then backed it up without appointing a designated deputy. Now, unless Sarfraz is seriously injured, it's impossible to drop/rest him.
