Most consistent ODI batsmen in the last 5 years

Amla probably has the highest non impactful scores among all the players in the list.

Taylor are FAF are extremely underrated in this format. They may not get the hundreds like others do as they don't bat in the top3 , but they always get those gritty runs needed for the team.

So we have
3 - Indians, Australians, South Africa, New Zealand, England
1- Pakistan, West Indies

Taylor is NZ's greatest ODI bat, not at all underrated. He is level superior to Kane who is more in very good league in LO compared to Ross who is a great.

Taylor also is ahead of Kane as test bat although Kane will surpass him with time.

Finch is so underrated in this forum both as a batsman and captain, best Australian tactician since Clarke.

But Taylor did'nt performed in ct17 and wc19 where kane was brilliant

I think a prolific as the above players are, only 5 players create the fear factor in opposition while scoring runs - Kohli, Rohit , Warner, Taylor & Roy.

Massive respect to performers.

Looking at the list tho... Cant help but wonder what a joke ODI has turned out to be.

Faf with 59 average...I can't even recall a single great odi innings of his. Taylor is under-rated tho.

22-24 centuries in 100 innings. Kohli Rohit are great bats but these are some ridiculous numbers.

Its not just them but many have great conversion numbers these days.

Its just gotten all too easy.

A part of me feels sad and when I see kids these days take these stats too seriously to talk smack about Viv, Tendu, 90s bats..its even sadder.

Maybe Im just getting old.

This is the new normal for sure.

Would love to see some one doing a standard deviation on all these players so in order to find the most consisting batter , Averages can be misleading.

Bobby is not even in top5 and his fans say he is already the 2nd best ODI batsman in the world

This is the new normal for this era. Batting averages of 70 and 65!

List puts in stark relief that Kane, Steve Smith and Babar who all have excellent stand alone numbers by 2000s standards are now merely in very good category instead of excellent. They can and must up their games to match the pace setters - Kohli, Rohit Warner

Faf has to be one of the most underrated ODI players of this era. Averaging 59 in the last 5 years is no joke.

Look at the number of matches played. Warner is the only one who played less matches than him yet has a better record.

It's the last 5 years, not the first 5 of every batsmen. These guys are performing at their peak while Babar is entering his.

Taylor during a brief period was an absolute beast in the one dayers. Clicked almost every innings.

Saddening numbers. Kudos to the bowlers though.. would love to see similar graph for them as well.
