In 1857 war of Rebellion Muslims and Hindus fought together and wanted to reinstate the Mughal Emperor again.

Yes there is hatred now but thats due to the polarisation caused by the partition and 3rd rate hate mongers like Modi misusing the situation.

In an undivided India, Muslims would ve been close to 40% of the population and things would ve been very different from what they are now. Pakistan from the beginning was just a ploy to serve foreign interests and their Pet Feudals.

Indians would rather lose the land that be reunited with Pakistan for precisely that reason. Better from a Hindutva POV to be totally dominant in a carved up India than have less power in a united one.
