Multan Sultans' owner, Ali Tareen, blames Imad Wasim for Pakistan's T20 World Cup 2024 exit

lol a poster not liking some owner, is making his own fantasies of psl team being resold just so that the owner he doesnt like doesnt get to say anything........

Salman Iqbal should be right below. The man has ruined the Karachi Kings Franchise to the point the locals have absolutely zero affinity or connection with the Franchise which should have been the top most commercial sponsored Franchise, he only acquired the team as an extension of ARY. The rights have got to be taken away from him and put in the hands of someone more committed to developing a Franchise with proper roots with the Karachi population.

PCB is claiming they have plenty of interest from potential buyers from America, Europe, Middle East let alone Pakistani businessmen. They are very confident about being able to sell the next two teams at the franchise fee of $10 million per annum each.

Glad there is more competition for Franchise owners now

Whatever he may think of Imad Wasim's abilities as a cricketer, it is not his place nor is he qualified to comment on Imad - especially in a public forum. It is appalling that he has done so and not been castigated by PCB. This is where board and/or player unions should step in to fight for their own.

Were this to happen in more developed countries, Tareen would very likely have been sued for such comments.

Ali Tareen sadly comes across as a spoilt, entitled child. Not surprising as his wealth originates from his father's corrupt misdeeds and money laundering

Ali Tareen is a great representation of the mummy daddy mentality which most of the new generation fans have

To them wins don’t matter, all that really matters is the vibes and cringe tiktok edits of Babars cover drive or Rizwan cramping and then flucking a six.

This mentality is what has killed our cricket and it is this mentality which guys like Amir and Imad tried to erase from our team. Unfortunately evil won and now they have to deal with abuse left right and centre

I don't know what fans you are talking about but Amir is probably the most popular current cricketer in Pakistan. Fans consider him legend :misbah .

Imad and Amir are clever with their words. They sit at talk shows and talk smack to gain brownie points. They present themselves as victims which fans like you gobble up.

In reality both were kicked out because of their poor performance. On comeback, cutter master Amir who is mainly a defensive bowler gave 17 in super over ! Imad wannabe Ronaldo scored 15 (23) in run chase and looked like a bunny against Axar Patel !

Ramiz and M Wasim saw through these guys and didn't care one bit for their whining. We ended up breaking the streak and played a few finals.

Ali Tareen has already stated on record in a recent podcast that he is not going to renew his teams contract with the PCB at the current price, let alone paying extra 25%. He is going to tell the PCB to give him a massive price reduction or he is out. Will be interested to see how the PCB handle him and the situation because other franchise owners will be encouraged to try and follow suite. Can the PCB call their bluff and show them the list of interested Franchise owners from abroad and Pakistan?

Ok with Babar and his nexus we “got into some finals”. 2 to be specific and one was a due to the Netherlands miraculously beating South Africa

With Amir and Imad we actually won a final and Amir had already done that before in 2009.

In his career Amir has played in 5 ICC tournaments and won 2.

Rizwan, Babar and Shaheen on the other hand have collectively played 7 tournaments all together and only won 1

We reached two finals and broke the streak while topping the group. These are facts. Rest are excuses.

Nexus ? :misbah You can't play these games with me. I don't want Babar and Rizwan in T20Is anyways while you lot are still going gaga over two nautankiay.

Amir in 2017 was bowling 140+. He deserved a spot in team but we won that tournament because of Fakhar and Hassan Ali (later is part of 'nexus' I believe). Amir didn't play semifinal vs England and no one missed him because he was a supplementary bowler, just like he was in 2009. Imad was a rellu kata so no point in mentioning him.

A lot of modern day 'fans' blame Harris Rauf and Shaheen for bottling it against Kohli and Wade. Harris gave away 15 runs in his infamous over against Kohli in Melbourne. They forget or are too young to remember that this 'legund' Amir gave away 16 runs to Hussey in semi final of WC (2nd last over) ! This lot calls Amir 'legund':amir2. They got egg on their face when these two cry babies failed spectacularly in 2024 WC and they are still busy justifying it.

Fixer is smart. He knows how to act and what to say so that public can keep supporting him. He somehow convinced 'fans' that he is the victim after selling his country :facepalm:. Now he threatens us with IPL :amir . As if IPL is desperate for 124 kph cutters.
 
Amir and imad were 2 guys who left when they should not have, and it has happened not once, but twice. They are not passionate enough for the country, and there is no way anyone can defend their actions taken.

They are nothing but retired guys and should not be discussed anymore... move on

Yes Amir may have choked against Hussey but was also the same bowler who came clutch against Dilshan and destroyed the Indian top order. If Rauf or shaheen managed to do the same even once in their career than a poor tournament performance could easily be forgiven
 
Imagine being so delusional to think the team under Babar was actually a world competitor side in T20s

As I said, Pakistani cricket fans are as mediocre as their cricket.

Oh bhai Amir Imad ne konsi trophies jitwa dein ? They were in good teams just like Babar was in 2017.

Amir had a good spell vs India ? So what ? Shaheen too removed India's top order twice. Harris Rauf bowled splendidly multiple times in Asia cup and WCs.

Those who criticize 'nexus' have no leg to stand on when they support these two dramaybaaz.

Imad was stuck against Axar Patel of all people ! He has no sweep shot and neither can he go down the wicket. Ended up playing an innings of 15 (23) but somehow he is supposed to be guilty free just because he says right things on tv and is against 'nexus'. Is this the standard of Pakistani fans ?

One thing I have always noted about Amir, no matter what tournament he plays, is that he barely does anything in the initial matches.

He intentionally bowls slower, does not give his all and let's all his team mates do all the work.

Come the finals his team mates who carried the team are out of steam and this shrewd guy will suddenly go all out. Because he knows some low IQ fans only notice the last match.

This happens even in leagues he plays.

It's intentionally selfish and shrewd because he knows his low IQ fans don't realize you need to perform throughout tournament to win the cup and not just last match and his PR is ready to steal credit from people like Fakhar.

He is a very shrewd guy. Which is why I don't believe all his antics of being a young victim who was forced by others. He has constantly turned his back on his country multiple times for money and at the smallest pretext and shown he isn't a team player at all.

Amir is extremely shrewd and have high IQ. If Shaheen had half of Amir or Asif's brain, he would have end as legendary cricketer.

Issue with Amir is that he is selfish and greedy (selling his country level greedy). Always looked for shortcuts throughout the career.

His late uncle Alamgir Tareen was managing the franchise before him. Ali Tareen managed the Franchise for the first season and Multan Sultan's did not perform that great, his uncle managed the franchise much better in comparison to this clown.

Josh Little is still understandable. He had some ability , could bowl 145 and swing the ball as a left armer .

Curtis Campher only plays for Ireland because he was not good enough to play for South Africa and even his record for Ireland is mediocre.

Rashid Latif on his latest Vlog with Dr Niaz alluded that the Sultan’s owner might have purposely built a crap team this year to lower the market value of Sultan’s….so that he can get a cheaper deal when he re-bids for it for next year’s ownership rights.
