This is the fruit of appeasement politics. Even West suffers from it. If a Black man is killed by a white man, then the racist and hate crime angle is always probed. If a Black man kills a white man, it is always a generic crime.

Can't speak for India, but if you are talking about the west you are making sweeping generalisations. Whites have traditionally held all the reins of power so they also have more responsibility to avoid bigotry. The same would hold true of Muslims in Pakistan, if they are abusing hindus or Christians, then they should also be held to a higher standard as they would be in a position to abuse that power.
