Hate speech: Jaleel heads to Mumbai to seek action against Ramgiri Maharaj, Nitesh Rane

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel left for Mumbai from here on Monday to press for the demand for action against Hindu seer Ramgiri Maharaj and BJP MLA Nitesh Rane over their remarks allegedly targeting Muslims.

On September 11, former MP Jaleel said he would visit Mumbai on September 23 and gift copies of the Constitution to the ruling Mahayuti leaders and senior police officials in Maharashtra while seeking action against Ramgiri Maharaj and Rane.

BJP leader Rane addressed two public meetings in Shrirampur and Topkhana areas in Ahmednagar district on September 1 in support of Ramgiri Maharaj, who was in the news last month for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Islam and Prophet Muhammad.

Multiple cases have been registered in Maharashtra against Rane over his speeches allegedly targeting Muslims.

Jaleel on Monday launched the 'Tiranga Samvidhan' rally to Mumbai from here via the Samruddhi Expressway.

Speaking to mediapersons before leaving, Jaleel said people who love their country and the culture of Maharashtra have come forward to help him in this agitation headed to Mumbai.

"The state has forgotten the culture of Phule, Shahu Maharaj, Ambedkar and Shivaji Maharaj, so we are going to Mumbai to remind the government about it," he said.

Jaleel said he had earlier decided to go to Mumbai via Gangapur and Vaijapur .Bottom of Form

"But the government has come down to dirty politics using police in the state. A pro-Hindutva organisation has been called in Gangapur for a march. The people called over there just stand on stage and target one specific community. So to avoid any struggle, we are taking our 'Tiranga Samvidhan' rally though the Samruddhi Expressway," he said.

A large number of people from Nanded joined the rally of Jaleel from here.

The AIMIM leader has through a video message appealed to people from various regions of the state to join his rally at various nodes of the Samruddhi Expressway.

So what did the two guys even say to create such an uproar?

Happy that they decided to protest rather than behead like in some previous cases. However, I request both my Hindu and Muslim Bhartiya brothers to grow a thicker skin. In these radicalized times, such statements will come from all sides. We can't bring a city to halt over every controversial statement some idiot makes.

Killing of politicians in India seems to be mainly a Dharmic issue.

I'm glad these brothers rejected the prevailing culture set by the majority and chose to protest peacefully.

Seems like some BJP guy made disparaging remarks about Islam and the Prophet PBUH. That's all I could get from that article which is all over the place. A reflection of the country I suppose.

Nice to see my muslim Indian brothers protesting for their rights openly. Only shows that India is a free country where everyone has a say.

So much better than the folks across the border, whose so-called protest focuses more on stealing korma, despite having their election stolen and their most popular politician thrown in jail.

Golden rule of thumb - Never, ever open your mouth on religious figures.

Useless journalism from TOI, a sensible informative news article would have mentioned what was the language that caused offense.

I wonder why anyone makes such disparaging remarks ... I mean afterall such a peaceful community the Muslims are with Zero incidence of intolerance, bigotry and communal violence. Nor do they believe in forcefully converting people and all of this is easy to verify by checking their track record with all other religions in the world. So has to be the fault of Evil Hindus that make these comments ... possibly Hinduism itself :)

Smartly done, protesting with Tiranga, kudos to the protesters unlike the dilli ones years ago.
Always felt the Maharashtrian Muslims to be smarter.

That's what I thought. No violence, no riots .... just good old fashioned street protests, which ofcourse is perfectly legal.

Exhibit A

n January 27, 2024, in Chhattisgarh, a state in central India, approximately one thousand Christians were forced to convert to Hinduism. The pervasiveness of forced conversions to Hinduism, or re-conversions in the eyes of Hindus that view Christianity and Islam as latecomers with no claim to legitimacy in India, is highly troubling in a democracy that professes freedom of religion for all.

India has a population of 1.4 billion, with 79.8 percent identifying as Hindu, 14.2 percent as Muslim, 2.3 percent as Christian, and 1.7 percent as Sikh. Moreover, there are smaller communities of Buddhists, Jains, Baha’is, Jews, Zoroastrians (Parsis), and those professing no religion. Article 25 of India’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion, affirming “Freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion.”

In practice, however, there is significant religious persecution in India, with Christians and Muslims being the primary targets. According to a report by Global Christian Relief, there are three to four attacks against Christians in India each day. In 2022, a Catholic center near Mangalore was demolished by Hindu nationalists. Moreover, hundreds of Christians have faced the looting and destruction of their homes for refusing to convert to Hinduism. Social media platforms have been used to spread extensive misinformation, promote hate speech and inflammatory rhetoric, and incite violence against religious minority groups.

If they are not busy turning gays into straights thanks to their entertainment industry, the Hindus are also busy performing other conversions and then blaming the said act on Muslims and feigning incredulity when others protest. This behavior of SHIAs and EOATPs in the wild of cyberspace can be observed specifically in the time pass section of PP.

Man this has happened to me too, I was like the guy that narrates Planet Earth directed Gandhi? I was in awe before realising the difference.

I bet you wouldn’t have turned gay though if by chance you didn’t know either or didn’t ever get lucky enough to watch the film on Gandhi or any of those planet earth docs.

Unless you are gay already in which case watching such entertainment may have turned you straight. I don’t know it’s all very confusing. Once @Bhaijaan returns from Faisalabad, he can help you figure it out. Right now, he is researching the gay scene in Faisalabad deep deep under ground and he hopes someone there will go even deeper with him. I am looking forward to his findings on the effects of lack of entertainment on one’s sexuality.

Don’t worry, we are all with you, rooting for you and support you, no matter your orientation. You probably can’t see me but I’m holding aloft the LGBTQ pro max flag in your support right now.

Perhaps this Exhibit B below was the handiwork of the Evil Hindus to destroy their own sacred temple and build a mosque on top of it so that they could blame the innocent muslims for that ? I mean it makes perfect sense considering that you and others have proven that the Muslims are so peaceful that they couldn't even hurt a fly ....

Very nice rebuttal! My attention is definitely diverted from the claims of poor Muslims and Christians being forcefully converted to hinduism in the 21st century back to the atrocities of Muslims hundreds of years ago demolishing little known ram janam booms.

Masterfully done, sir! 👏👏👏

Except its not the Ram Temple that you are seeing in the picture and Muslims in India doggedly trying to defend the right for the Mosque to exist as you see it in the pic in 2024.

And did you really say little known temple?

This guy should ACTUALLY go and read what Ambedkars views were on Muslims and Islam

Here is a sample ( there is a lot more and its all scathing ):

"The brotherhood of Islam is not the universal brotherhood of man. It is a brotherhood of Muslims for Muslims only. There is a fraternity, but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt and enmity"

But then again why let facts get in the way of building a narrative. :inti

🙃

I am sure this is going to give me tons of sleepless nights, views of some no name Hindu that I have never heard of and I am sure is a nobody outside of the Indian hindu realm. You can frame those views and clasp your hands in front of it all day.

Who really cares?

You bolded the wrong part of my quote (not intentionally I'm sure), I doubt you would get protests about disparaging remarks against Islam itself, but insults aimed at the Prophet PBUH do tend to set Muslims off. Maybe it's different for hindus, but not sure it is, as I still recall a story from a while back of an Australian tourist who got accosted in a restaurant for daring to have a tattoo of an Indian god on his leg.

Nope.... I intentionally bolded those words. But in the subsequent sentence I forgot to list a few other attrocities like Genocide, Ethnic cleansing, separitism, destruction of temples

yes it is very different for Hindus .... because I can assure you that The aussies havent been subjected to any of the grave attrocities I listed above by Hindus. Whereas Muslim attrocities on Hindus have been going for 1000+ years.

Pretty normal this. BJP has always been using Hate speech against Muslims to make their fans happy.
Many Indian politicians, across religious and other lines, have used hate speech to please their constituents. There's no need to single out the BJP simply because their ideology doesn't agree with yours.
There was another thread the other day about that muslim politician in West Bengal threatening to throw hindus into the river (or something of that sort). I didn't see much indignation against that.

What can one read into it? so perhaps you can answer.

Yes at rallys they openly abuse other religions but I’ve never seen a Hindutva vegetarian ever say this alone to another man’s face .

You’d think the police would be the ones talking to him but it’s left to public to defend their faith from vile abuse .

I will not be addressing any of that diatribe because the only response would be ti for tat lists of hindutva abuses. Be on your way sir, and kindly don't quote me in future expecting a logical discussion.

So who fired the first shots ? How many Genocides and Ethnic cleansings done by Hindus?

Be on your way sir, and kindly don't quote me in future expecting a logical discussion.

Not surprising at all... bolt when in pickle sounds Familiar

How about factual discussion ?

Divert, deflect, deny.. rinse & repeat
Not saying all Muslims are angels, never did but you obviously hate every single one

We have been here before. You are not interested in a discussion, only in cutting and pasting from your library of hindutva propaganda sites.

What are the Propaganda sites that I have quoted in the past or in this thread? Lets see some names

What denial ? Iam giving you blunt reasons for why there is soo much backlash against muslims which is what the OP is about.

Not saying all Muslims are angels, never did but you obviously hate every single one

Why should I NOT hate them when they do not budge from their position regarding our holiest and sacred temples( lets not eventalk about horrific violence)? What is YOUR position on that ?

Here is the link to that picture again :

you expect Hindus to have cordial relations even when Muslims bluntly refuse to handover that site which is one of the most sacred sites for us?

Yes at rallys they openly abuse other religions but I’ve never seen a Hindutva vegetarian ever say this alone to another man’s face .

With peurile views like this you then go on to wonder why the world has such poor opinions about Muslims?
