Forget Amir, we have seen him against Australia and NZ in T20 wc, and also against NZ in NZ.
I respect him because of the gap of 5 yrs, but I am afraid the best bowler fight in Sub-con will be between Bhumra, Malinga and Mustafiz. Amir can at best hope to compete with Shami(india) and Rubel(BD). Chameera is the best match for Amir, sorry to say.

On potential he's comparable in Tests and that's what matters - we'll see what he's made of in 2 months. Just wait.

And is better than Rabada who too got thrashed in these T20s.

very much this.. never gave credit to the opposition teams.. always has an excuse or 2 ready like our boys were despirited, dew was the difference, we lost a world class bowler, pitch became difficlult n what not.. also, does not have the balls to bowl in the death overs.

Ok, so you want to exclude the game vs Aus.

Against India Sami was nowhere in the game before that 2 wickets in 2 balls. And he was still nowhere even after that. Amir did well in his opening spell vs Ind, could have done more damage if given the ball after Sami's 2 wickets, but you know our captain.

Sami played better than Amir against NZ but again Amir was fine in the opening spell but gave runs in the final overs.

People thaught Sami was gonna become the next big thing after his good performance vs NZ. But he showed his real colours vs Aus.


When i said we need a perfect partner for Amir, i meant someone like Asif. But that is unlikely to happen. We still have our hopes on Junaid Khan, Hassan Ali, SOhail Khan.

Give Amir, Mustafiz & Bumrah a couple of years to see how they fair in ODIs & Tests. Then we'll see where they all stand. Hopefully Asif will also be back by then.

Amir's stats are a bit inferior compared to Mustafizur. And Amir looks very ordinary if the conditions don't favor him.
