Do you live in Pakistan currently or plan on settling there?

Have no idea at this point. I miss living at home, can never predict the future. But unfortunately in Pakistan you are on your own if you have money problems. Atleast in the UK and Canada you have a welfare society to help you out. Will also depend on who i get married too and what she would want down the line.

I hear you bro. Women think that taking care of the family is a demeaning job and working in industry is empowering, which leaves the elderly and the children to be taken care of by domestic helps who cannot be trusted and cost money. Is the extra money these women earn worth the damage to the family system? Not just that, they now compete for jobs which could have gone to men, thus putting men under more pressure and reducing jobs for them, which is what they are meant for, being the breadwinners and providers, while women are meant to be caretakers. What has worked for 5000 years will work for next 5000 years. Men need to be stronger and draw a line and women should know that they must sacrifice for the greater good of the family and society. Verily, heaven is at the feet of women, as long as they are not selfish.

Have to agree with this. A man can not pay his wife enough for what she does at home. Its priceless.

Unfortunately, we Pakistanis dont know how to respect other people views. We start calling them backward, bad father e.t.c e.t.c. But on the other hand by, we people are proving ourselves backward, illiterate because we are interfering between father and daughters / family which we have no right.

I dont know how the posters here will feel if some ABC guy come to them and tell them " Hey you! You are a worst father" )

"However much I thank Allah isn't enough for blessing me with healthy children. With the way boys are becoming 'nikamma' nowadays (laugh), I think daughters are the ones who stay with their fathers.

"You should educate your daughters so much and make them learned so that you don't feel the lack of a son. Are boys the only ones who can work? I think that the amount of talent and ability that Allah gives to daughters, I don't think sons have that. I thank Allah for blessing me with five daughters."
