Where do you play ? how competitive is it ?

Well its pretty good we play in Hessen Liga which is one of 6 7 German league and winner goes to national league...We won last 3 years and won 2 German titles.

It is competitive with lots of players coming from Pakistan,India,Bangladesh,Sri Lanka and few British,Aussies and Germans.

I think it is better than standard of Sunday league as people take it seriously and regular net sessions are done by all teams etc and it is under DCB and ICC.

Interesting, how many divisions are there ? Why isn't Germany progressing in ICC qualifiers ?

Well its a complex questions. German national team that is playing currently is not the best 15 Germany can bring forward as to play for Germany you should have german nationality and to get nationality you should be able to speak the language+taxation+other needs and not many natives or german born are interested in cricket or good at it.

Cricket dont have money in it for someone to take it as a profession and if you take other professions to get taxation requirements covered for nationality you dont have time to play cricket. This all above is apart from no facility and no proper cricket wickets in the country and weather not at all supporting this sports and we use indoor halls for basket ball or football to play cricket if we get permission from authorities otherwise there is no dedicated cricket facility.

Just saw, Germany plays in division 7. Sucks that governments and national sports board don't care about Cricket when that is one of the team that regularly plays international matches. Cricket being a semi-profession is the issue, the last Canadian team that played the qualifiers had 3 out of the best 25 players in Canada. You can only expect teams where their players don't have a 9 to5 job to excel, those are the likes of Afgh, Ireland and some Nepalis.
