I was one of the very few who made a case for batting first and explained my rational.

The take home message is that you cant take certain statics too seriously. It was said that in this CT the team that batted 2nd almost always won or that only two CT finals have been won batting first. On paper that might all be true but cricket is played on the field.

Indian team and Virat might be great chasers but still everyday is a new day. Every chase is a new chase. your past record doesnt give you any guarantee.

I was so glad we lost the toss, that was biggest concern and sarfraz said he was happy to lose the toss too.
