National One Day Cup (Regions) | Islamabad/Rawalpindi/Karachi | Jan 2017

Salahuddin played some delightful strokes at the end. All the match it looked like he was just a one dimensional player. Once again it is proved that the domestic players have ability to play modern cricket, they just need to shun the negative approach.
 
Pretty good inning from salahuddin , could have been a bit more urgent but still has improved leaps and bounds.

Seems like that he can , he has shots in the book but he needs to rotate the strike well. At the start of the innings he still has the same issues azhar ali , ahmed shehzad etc have. Needs to work on his strike rotation.

I rate him. Times the ball sweetly. Can play shots all round the round. Is elegant.

I don't considee him an allrounder and he should bat at 3,4 or 5 nowhere else. But he does not get frequent oppurtunities even in domestic cricket which is Sad and his batting numbers are always played with.

Zaheer Abbass rates him highly too.


This season he has scored a double ton aswell. Let's hope he is picked up by a department and gets chance at number 4. KRL or Wapda should get their hands on him. Hope he scores big and makes Pakistan A team soon. Unfortunately he is 23-24 and is nowhere.

If this is the case than He is not ready for any form of International Cricket. What has he, his coaches and NCA have been doing in last 6 years if He has such a huge issue ? This means he is not ready and he is not a finished product.

Well I am not an expert , at ocassions I felt that while driving on the offside he tends to leave a big gap between bat and pad. I might be wrong though . NCA isn't exactly doing much service to Pakistan cricket anyway , the invesent is needed to made at domestic structure if not at grass root level.

Shehzad is in red hot form , don't think you can keep him out after scoring that heavily. This is impressive stuff.
 
Really liked his innings today he was emphasizing upon taking singles and was trying to convert singles into doubles!!!

Lahore January 18, 2017: Due to inclement weather in Lahore, the Semi-Finals and Final of Cool & Cool Presents Q Mobile National One Day Cup – Regions 2016-2017 have been shifted to Karachi. The Semi-Finals and Final will be played as per following schedule


First Semi Final (23rd Jan. 2017) - No. 1 Team Vs No. 3 Team at National Stadium Karachi

Second Semi Final (24th Jan. 2017) - No. 2 Team Vs No. 4 Team at National Stadium Karachi

Final (27th Jan. 2017) - Winner of First Semifinal Vs Winner of Second Semifinal at National Stadium Karachi

Both the Semifinals and Final will be Telecast Live by PTV.

Sir money isn't as big of an issue as depriving our future generation of cricketers an opportunity to hone their skills. This is absolutely pathetic from the PCB, but not hard to expect when you have political appointees running the board.
 
Good old PCB and their team of 'forward thinkers'. Another domestic tournament which has become a farce.

Shan masood plays so slow , killed the innings for Islamabad. Good to see said shakil scoring some runs.
 
Every single match had reduced overs because of wet outfield. :facepalm:

None of the chasing teams are winning, so even the future Pakistani teams will be bad chasers.

Saud Shakil's performance is commendable.

Although I dislike Shehzad quite a bit, but he seems to have played a gem of an innings there 62 off 42 balls.

Hussain Talat has also done well in this tourney, I heard he also bowls medium pace, perhaps he could be the number 6/7 batting alrounder we are looking for.
 
Another fifty from Saad Ali and at a good SR too.

Now averages 64 at a SR of 85 after 30 List A matches !

Captain Salman Butt got a 2nd ball duck. Kami run out after scoring a blistering knock of 2 from 8 deliveries. The whole Lahore team all out for 66 chasing 200.

Thank God PCB have kept these 2 losers away from the Pakistani team.
 
khushdil shah is making a strong case for himself but inzi will not give a chance to youngsters....we know.
