This is a poor batting unit alright. But this is a regular bowling unit. So lot of blame should be attached to bowling. You cannot bowl like this match after match after match. Also captaincy is really bizzarre. This gives you a lot of assistance to seamers especially with new ball. But Salman Ali Agha was tossing the enw ball to Khushdil shah, Abrar.

Your batting can't be relying upon on the guys like Samad, Shadab, Irfan and Khushdil. All of them are not batters, but tail enders who can smash few runs on their day. But to expect runs from them on regular basis, would be unfair.

We need proper batters in the middle, With Fakhar, Saim and one of between Hassan or Haris at top, we would need 2 more solid batters have sound technique and game awareness. Then later we can have either Irfan or Samad or even Asif Ali. But can't have all of them at the same time.

In ODI's, you get a ticket allocated for a particular seat and particular stand but if you feel like it, you can wander out to the grassy knolls as u are allowed (as marked seating costs are higher), but if you buy the grassy stands, costs are significantly lower, but you cannot got to allocated seating. (well you can, once the match starts and after lunch/first innings once every one gets a bit 'high' and if you can manage to charm the stand attendant ....
In T20 -chances are very less -as more hectic and its not as relaxed.
In tests - test matches are more relaxed than odi, you could pretty much go anywhere and everywhere except the VIP stands and press boxes - and we used to love sitting in the grassy knolls - as the more 'colorful' guys who had 'opinions' on the game would be found here...
to answer ur question specifically, on grassy knolls you can pretty much sit anywhere....and tbh its one of the best experiences....you just bring a beach towel or mat, stretch your legs and if you have good company and the day is good, its awesome experience...
The awesome kicker is in NZ in tests once lunch/tea is called, once teams walk off, you can actually go on the playing ground, (excpet the pitch off cours, is cordoned off)....its a massive buzz walking on the same ground that these guys play....

I keep telling this. Pakistan was never a batting might in LOI. Almost all their major tournament wins were on the back of bowling. Be it is 1992 world cup or 2009 world T20 win. 2017 was an aberration. But by and large they never bulldozed teams with batting match after match. It is well and good trying to match the batting migth of other teams. But when you do that you do not stop focusing on your historically core strength which is bowling.

Of course in 2017 CT finals Pakistan team bull dozed Indian team with their batting. But the way they advanced till that match was because of their bowling strength. Their bowlers dried up the runs made by opposition in the middle overs. What really is disappointing is all those bowlers have disappeared as of the present situation. Now we are not seeing Hasan Ali anymore though if he were there today he could have guided the junior fast bowlers. So are Amir and Junaid Khan. In the same tournament, one of the commentators remarked, 'Cummins is giving away runs like a philanthropist.' Today we can see where Cummins, Bumrah and Hassan Ali are.

Abbas isnt a conventional seamer. He’s a 4th seamer type bowler like Tom Curran or Jade Dernbach. It’s Shaheen who has been all over the place. Can’t make sense of what this guy wants to do? Why isn’t he opting to just rest?

they have got two other pacers who cannot open the bowling with Shaheen.. And haris playing for so many games and without learning any swing or seam just simply rely on pace and slow bouncers was tracked into ODIs and cart wheeled all over the park..

Pak standards of bowling has come down to the lowest point... Haris was there because of shaheen friendship, when shaheen cant save his spot , haris will go away soon cannot last.. these two already dropped from ODIs and doesnt get selected for tests anyways... soon going down the drain in T20Is too... haris as a t20 bowler will get away but shaheen is merely a nothing bowler, he wasnt a death bowler from the start only relying on first over wickets with early swing but thats not there anymore...
