Come on what is the difference between 244 and 260. If you cannot defend 244 then you can not defend 260 either.
Its like we couldn't defend 359 and no where we could defend 375.
 
2 dull matches on eid day. Bangladesh is 20 runs short here, Mithun and Mahmudullah really slowed down the rate which cost them.

Mental...in the head. Remember Pak defended 348 but would not have defended 330.

Mithun is a passenger in the side. Liton Das adds more fire power, big shots, danger to the opponent. Mithun adds nothing that BD doesn’t have already. These plenty of accumulators in the side. So what’s different with Mthiun?

They should try Sabbir over Mithun, can bowl a bit Leg spin as well. If Liton is to play, Shakib will need to bat at 5, which they won't do after 2 innings so far.
 
NZ should win if they see off the first few overs without losing a wicket. Although Williamson and Latham are brilliant players of spin.
 
35-40runs short of making a hard game for NZ to win. In fact could’ve been within a chance to win had they scored 270-280.

NZ might chase this within 45 overs.
 
A poor, poor batting display! No one could hit!

We are definitely gonna loose and this trend will continue if we pick up such a defensive side with two mini all-rounders and leave a key strike bowler.
 
We need belters, these matches are boring.

were both really great games.
 
Need to keep check in first 10-12 overs when ball is new, otherwise they'll race towards the target inside 40 overs. May be they should open with Shakib this time.
 
Excellent start by the Kiwis, they can chase this down within the 35th over I have a feeling
 
Guess it was just poor batting by Bangladesh, NZ making it look easy.
 
Been a fan of Mash, one of his big fan. But he is clearly the weaklink in the bowling attack especially in the pace department. So you’re left with two pacers. Need to bring Rubel in. Mash is getting slower and slower, can’t even swing the bat anymore.

Advance thanks to Mash for his great contribution. Amazing captain, best in BD history, one of the best in the world since 15 WC. After this WC, you should retire and we know you will. Thanks once again. Good luck for the future in politics and hope one day you come back to be BD cricket team coach or manager.
 
Mash is just a good captain, does not contribute much with ball / bat at all esp on good batting tracks :facepalm:

Guptill and munro form is vital for New Zealand worldcup campaign. Ross and kane is already in good touch

Mortaza has regressed lot, but there is a reason for that. The way guy is carrying his cricket should be an example for many.

Mortaza is a Bangladesh legend and rightly so. But I’m more dissatisfied with his batting more than anything. I strongly felt he could’ve and should’ve contributed more late on in the innings with big hits and quick innings as we know he has the power to hit them especially against spin. But post 2015 wc he had only one good innings with the bat against England in 2016 ODI series, maybe few more but again he seems like never took batting practice seriously.

It's near impossible for BD to win defending - something some how they managed in last game, but apart from AFGs, I won't mind chasing in other 6 games.

Mortaza is champion cricketer and one of the reason for bd vast improvement in cricket in recent years.

His fantastic catch of shoaib malik in asiacup 2019 was game changer

Salam Boss, what do you think of Tamim’s World Cup performance ? He has been very poor :facepalm: Tamim and Mashrsfee are two deadwood
 
It was a tactical blunder to open with Miraz & Mash. Mash is useless but Miraz is more effective when he reduces pace - something Martin will murder. As I mentioned, they should have opened with Shakib today and keep Miraz at back end when Kiwis have few Lefties from No. 5. Still better late than never.

Salam & EID Mubarak. Tamim's WC record is abysmal (that too after couple of IRL & SCT bashing), but he is still best opener for us and a perfect partner for Soumya.
 
This was always going to be a tough match-up but the Bangladeshi spinners will have to believe they can get a few wickets in to peg NZ back. Tough to defend that score though!

Poor review - that was always drifting down. They are desperate for wicket, but this was silly.
 
Mehidy bowls too many loose balls! Munro got a easy single. MHM should be targeting the left handed batsman

They should have made him Team Manager for the WC, basically doing the same job from field. Rubel on this track would have been more effective.

Even us Pakistanis keep complaining about "runs short, runs short" - It doesn't matter.

Got to make the most of the runs that are already on the board.

Maybe Bangladesh would have been bowled out for 210? We'd be saying if we got 230-240.. . . . . .

Turning point was Mushi's Run out. Still Kiwis could have won it, but that was pathetic judgement.
 
Mushi should be given double egg for this one - fumbled the game by own hand. First run out and now this ..... no, 4 eggs, that too duck eggs.
 
Damn Williamson would have bene run-out by a long-way. Hope this not cos BD the match. NZ is clearly under pressure. IF BD win this one then 4th SF spot becomes reality
 
Someone needs to take mushy out of the keeping role. Mithun can keep. Mushy is having a poor wc with the gloves!
 
Game over guys - defending such target needs some luck and chasing needs some as well. Kiwis got their one - I hope Will gets a hundred to make it salty for Batu.
