It's so sad to think that we've regressed to the point that we're looking back at Shadab-Ifti-Nawaz being the better days. What a sad state of affairs.
Babar was also in better form at the time. Babar's years have basically been

2019-2021: Solid whiteball batter and okay test batter. Not a world beater in whiteball but not a bad option to have. Would easily walk into most teams except aus and India. Was slightly better then 2019 root as well at that time in odi.

2022: Horrible horrible t20 batsmen, but still had his form up on odi and test.

2023: Declining form in odi but was still capable of avg 40 against bigger sides and bullying minnows, Declining form in test as well, slightly improved form in t20 then 2022 but negligible.

2024: Horrible in all formats

2025: Even worse. He cant even bully his own local domestic teams anymore.

I repeat, our bowlers are the primary reason why we have been so poor on this tour. None of the bowlers have exploited NZ conditions to make it remotely competitive.

It was unfair to expect our batsmen to cope with these conditions. Our bowlers should be taken to the cleaners and the coaching staff on why have the bowlers been so terrible game after game on this tour with no improvement. Aqib Javed and Azhar Mahmood need to brutally shown the door after this series.

Pakistan has the worst bowlers to exploit the bounce. Rauf can do occasionally. But he has limited variations. You can line up against him at some point.

Shan Masood and Aamer Jamal are a must in Australia and New Zealand. You need players who are good with bounce

Most importantly you need solid hit the deck pacers who can exploit the bounce on offer as well. NZ bowlers have exploited the bounce, swing, seam and pace of their wickets beautifully but the Pakistani pacers on the same wickets have not got their lengths right

It's the easiest thing to just blame the players alone. At some point you can reasonably expect a team's coaching staff to show its worth as well.

Given our results in this series, it's pretty clear Aqib Javed and Azhar Mahmood need to be moved on. They have failed in their primary jobs

These conditions while difficult aren't that difficult as rizwan is making it seem, or babar or Abdullah or imam.

That 5th offstump line is not a wicket taking delivery. Such shots can be pulled to boundaries.

They are not Mcgrath level deliveries that consistently target the top of offstump their by making it too short to pull, and too dangerous to cut as it'll get the knick.

These guys just don't know how to loft, cross bat, or pull properly. Rizwan can't play anything in the offside unless it's a road. These conditons are tough and while 290 is an unfair target,

It's not that tough that Pakistan is looking to get out for 150

You can bring any bowler. If you don't have batters to play the high bounce well. You cannot survive

Their two rookie batsmen scored 72 runs in the first 10

Cope with conditions is one thing but losing 4/5/6 wickets before 50 runs are scored?? I think batting and bowling sucks equally.

Absolutely zero technique to cope with these conditions. Salman surrendered and gave up.

Rizwan OUT!

Imagine someone from Australia, India, England or New Zealand playing an innings like Rizwan played today.

The conditions were tough for batting and NZ has the perfect bowling attack for these conditions. Don't let the incompetence of the Pakistani bowling attack and Pakistani coaching staff ie Aqib Javed and Azhar Mahmood fool you. The NZ bowling attack in the last 10-15 years is the best they have had in their entire history

Shreyas Iyer is supposed to be the poor player against bounce. He has 346 runs in 5 innings he has played in NZ with 1 century and 3 fifties and one forty.

@RizwanT20Champ

Australia has owned NZ's full strength side in such conditons black and blue. Aus literally bullies NZ at home and yet you expect me to believe babar and rizwan are > Travis Head and Steve Smith?

Batting or bowling, neither is fooling me. But I had hoped with supposed experience also in the team, one of those would step up and show some fight in tough conditions.

With the advent of T20, T20 leagues big hitting has gone to a new level. Despite NZ was struggling they came back into the game purely with power hitting by Hay. Pakistan big hitting is nil. Salman Ali playing outside his comfort zone still cannot match the average day of a big hitter from other countries. Pull shot, hook shot they have to master.

I was appreciating Faheem's 37 dot balls in his 10 overs. Will o rourke 35 dot balls in his 6 overs :ROFLMAO: Bowled 7 wides. Essentially only 1 run was scored in 6 overs of Will o rourke with bat.
