Here comes the first step in series Victory in SHEEP LAND.. This Dhoni really is a special captian...

RA, your comparing two completely different catches. Ponting took his, rolled on the ground, and put the ball on the ground.

Tendulkar's was with the fingers jammed between the ball. Ponting's was blatant, Tendulkar's was not.

Don't know how you can compare the two.

Tupac I am not comparing the two, I am comparing (with amusement) the reaction to bump catches when it is against India and when it is for India.

There is a slight difference. It is funny to see the arguments used to support Ponting and Clarke now being used (without a hint of appreciation for the irony) to now support Tendulkar.

I don't even know which Ponting catch you are talking about btw. Every single decision against India is challenged and discredited by your lot so don't really bother following them anymore.

Edit - saw your post above. Was that catch given out?

Weren't you guys bowled out for 214 agianst this team? ;-)

Yup. We beat them 2 nil.

I would have loved to see your FTB's bat on that Gabba pitch though :)))

Still 214 all out against an 8th ranked team :P That is a shame. We pwned you in your "fastest pitch" against your Phast bowlers Brett Lee, Shaun Tait, who is the other guy.. oh Mitchell Johson.

Wow this Martin is a real work horse. Even now he is bowling with same intensity and purpose. No wonder he was recalled despite poor domestic performance.

Yeah I remember our last game at the Gabba, Ganguly Pwning you attack for 140 odd ;-) ...

As much I loved nailing the sheep. I got to give credit to Daniel Vettori; he is a class player, captain and also as a NZ representative unlike The bunny.... Kudoss to him...

New zealand players are really cool and easy going. Vettori is a real class act unlike someone who was arguing over a run with umpire to deny a batsman a century ;-)

Vettori should come up the order. They should drop Franklin and mills and bring in Jeetan patel and some other seamer. O Brien and Martin are still penetrative enough. I would keep them.

good win for the Indians... I liked the fight back from McCullum but it just was a little bit too late.

I watched the final session, some odd captaincy from Dhoni but India were already so far ahead in the game that it was unlikely to ever hurt them, he's still learning.

Another monkey off the Indians back with this memorable win, don't expect them to mess up in this series from here.

Tendulkar played with Vengsarkar who made his debut I believe in that last win 33 years ago.

Kiwis had 3-4 passengers in this team, there's plenty of promise there but substance is lacking.

Yeah he was a fighter Ganguly - respect to him. That hundred was almost the most important one in the series I thought, because he attacked us and set the tone.

That pitch was not like the one we played the Kiwis on though, it had been under covers for 2 weeks due to the rain.

Psst you lost the series ;-) and that was dead rubber.

Yes they are and they take being beaten very nicely.

If my team ever takes being beaten like them I will scream.

Anyway good win to India, first Test win in NZ for more than 30 years. Hoodoo out of the way they will be looking for 3 - 0 win.

Saffers are going to beat Australia though so India will stay at 3rd no matter what. If the Saffer lost the current Test, India had a chance at number 2.
