Now i really hope that raval score a double ton, and then management is forced to drop this joke sami for his rubbish fielding, and he is nothing too special in batting either so far, what big difference does it make if we are 20/1 in 5 overs or 25 overs specially in these conditions where seeing off new ball by scoring zilch doesn't work out, even sharjeel hack can do this at a lot faster rate, and on his good day he will win you match alone with his impact full innings where as sami's 70 of 200 balls would still not make much difference, and sharjeel is 10x the slip catcher than what this joke is.
 
Why Imran is there instead of Anwar Ali?

Sharjeel will only win you matches against Zimbabwe, West Indies and Bangladesh.

All is not lost even as Pak continues to shoot itself in the foot.

This is a weak middle order, with Grandhomme in next.

Pak should be looking to get them out around 230.
 
And that steve rixon baba g should also be fired asap, because after his appointment fielding in general has gone only downhill, because before him under julian we were atleast a decent fielding side if not good, and we were not dropping this dollies on hourly basis.

No one in PAK is good at slips bro, may be apart from YK. You are not born as a Slip fielder, neither you can learn it from practice - may be catching technique you can practice; but that doesn't help your concentration. Slip catchers need DEEP concentration, as you might get 1 in a full Test & you have to catch that one.

Unless, the % of dismissal from LBW & Bowled in QA Trophy comes down to 40% level (from 80% at present), PAK'll remain the worst slip catching side in Test world - that's including BD, IND & WI. You can attach one Bobby Simpson or Graham Roop with each of the fielders along with Rixon, to train them, won't improve. To my knowledge, Mazid, Mustaq & Javed were top 3 slip fielders in 70s & 80s - unfortunately, these lot don't play in Counties - and catchers are not not a genetically breed.
 
Would be lucky to get them around 300 with effectively only 2 wicket taking options

Imran khan is a top bloke but is a very poor bowler. Can't believe we pick him. There must be good 10-15 bowlers better then him.

1.5 years is a big layoff for anyone, its just surprising he wasn't given a run before this game.. I mean WI series didn't need Amir and Sohail to be played in each game

and atleast he won't lose you matches with his rubbish catching, and you are talking as if sami is making us or gonna make us win vs any half decent team with his impact innings or with his exempalory catching.

Lol at people saying Imran is rubbish after seeing him bowl 2 overs. T20 mentality. Guy was benched for months on end and it will take him time to understand his game and the angles from which to bowl! Well bowled Imran.

On a serious note tho Raval is NOT 3rd time lucky. Good ball by Imran. Amir's dropped chances were much better balls tho.
 
So Sami dropped Raval again off Amir thankfully it didn't end up in a ton ... but seriously he should NOT be in the slips again especially in Aus ...
 
So, it took 3 balls from round the wicket to force Raval poke at it ................. after whole day & quarter. I think, ICC should allow mobile devices in cricket field, so that PAK Captains can be constantly given tips from dressing room.
 
I am just appalled at all the posters here, all those 'give Amir some time he's coming back after sooo long' excuses don't seem fit for Imran Khan, who's been fantastic for us for so long, and maybe the guy is short of confidence, hasn't found which length to ball, all these issues are ignored for IK and made to look like he is pedestrian.. hate on this forum is unbelievable
 
Imran's stats look very good.... but but but.. Amir is the next Akram :)
 
For hours I was literally begging for Imran to come around the wicket. Even yesterday. And now that he does it he gets a wicket. Why did it take so long?

Yeah thankfully it only cost us 50 odd runs which anyway ain't many in the context of this game.

Amir was out for FIVE years. No practice at all for FIVE years. Compare that to a few months for Imran Khan.

And that excuse you are talking about was only for ENG tour IMO.

Well Amir got this guy twice and anyone with a functional pair of eyes and a brain can tell that's Amir is way better than Imran. A wicket won't change that. Arthur is a better judge of talent than the two of us and he rates Amir, Sohail and Wahab way above this guy. But you keep being biased. Nothing anyone is going to say will change your mind

Double standards everywhere bro, we can keep Rahat for his 2 "jaffas" every innings and drop a guy who;s actually performing. Most of the hate for Imran is from people who have no patience.

Yeah and that's exactly why DROPPED CATCHES MATTER and even more so when they are dropped off the best opposition batsman

10-2-27-1 is not bad at all for a guy bowling back after 1.5 years

Listen to this guy. Criticizes Amir for not generating swing (when he has comfortably moved the ball around more than Imran) yet he praises Imran who hasn't moved the ball an inch for picking up the wicket of a guy who was dropped twice off Amir.
