What's new

New Zealand v Pakistan | 2nd Test | Hamilton | Nov 25-29, 2016 | Day 4

If Weather permit, we might have a result. If i was Pakistan Captain, i rather lose 2-0 in order to win this test and level the series.

Azhar need to be agressive and make sure we have 4 slips and not 3. We have to bag atleast 5 wickets before they reach 100. We can chase 200 runs here. All on Amir and Sohail.

We can chase upto 270 I think. YK and Azhar owe an innings. Need to get KW and Taylor.

Great as soon as they get a chance to bat it becomes bright and sunny.

Really need the conditions to be cloudy.

Yesterday, the pitch was flat and nothing was happening, but once there were dark clouds above the stadium, Southee was getting a 58 over old ball to jag around and picked up wkts.

Oh crap, Pak are in trouble.

Dumb commentary by Waqar. The lead is only 55 runs, of course you expect Pakistan to come out focused and fired up with a new nut in their hands.

Don't say that. Some PPers will start a huge argument saying that entire period was nightmare for batsmen due to no sideways movement.

Now take Kane and NZ will feel the pressure.

Pakistan needs to keep it very tight like they have done so far and I can see wicket coming.

They need to follow Mohd Asif footsteps. Be patience and keep it tight and dont give away an inch. Wickets will tumble like house of card. Just keep hitting the right areas.

The ball that got Jeet Raval was the one which nips back into the left-handed batsman. If Amir can consistently bowl it at will then he will be back to his best because as of yet he is either swinging into the right-hander or just angling it across. His outswinger to the right-hander was missing and that is why he wasn't able to bowl as well as he did in 2010.

Ball to Raval wasn't swing. It was wind.

Wind had nothing to do with it. Wind was going from left to right. The only thing wind did was create doubt in Jeet's mind that the wind might take the ball away from him.

Agreed. Another 30 minutes of no wickets and NZ should win bar any silly collapses.

Pitch easing up.

We're talking a NZ/Pak test here.. Silly collapses are more likely than they're not when these two sides play.

It's almost gone.

2-0 on the cards.

Pathetic performance.

Never write Pakistan off against NZ until it's totally gone. You can't understand NZ/Pak history very well if you're willing to write them off at this stage.

NZ could easily still be bowled out for not much more than 200, leaving Pakistan not much more than 250 on a pitch that looks like it's going to hold up.

These bowlers aren't capable.

It's over

We need few quick wickets. Right now their score is literally 98.

2 quick wickets will suddenly change the match.

Expected on a green top, the ball has been swinging and seaming throughout.

LOL, let it go.

Pitch looks a lot browner, but if NZ bats poorly then many posters will start saying that it was a green mamba all the time.

Hopefully one of our batsmen can replicate Babar's flawless GOAT tier masterclass.
