Where is Sohail ? Last I saw him, he was doing bodybuilding workouts lol.
 
There weren’t that many PPers who were asking for Yasir’s inclusion. I know that I was not.

Time for Yasir to try and justify his selection and for the management to show they know it best. If there is turn/grip, would not mind Haris coming in later.
 
Commentators portraying Yasir coming in as a win. If he ends up taking a wicket they will have to eat their words

Yeah beating the bat just enough to keep bowlers interested. For Williamson & Taylor to have batted THIS long without managing to dominate at all you'd have to say very good bowling + a pitch providing scope for a fair contest between bat & ball.
 
After winning the toss and bowling first on a tricky surface, this is what our bowlers came up with. Sorry to say but Abbas is quite weak for a strike bowler, and most likely wouldn't make any other major team as a third steamer too. Moral victories in line and length and run rate doesn't cut it. There's no result to show at the end for and NZ batters have bossed this session so far by a 100%. That's what good teams do, and the senior batters step up.

I worry for Pakistani batsmen. Newzealnd is getting precious time in the wicket. If a wicket doesn't fall these players will make the most of it.

You were right and so were the many PPers. Yasir's washed up.
 
Abbas only picket 1 wicket against the Kiwis in 2018. NZL knows how to neutralize him.

We got toothless bowling attaçk and batting is awful too and a batsman short as well.Innings defeat on the cards.

Don’t care about right or wrong. Don’t believe in the idea of losing games for the greater good. I want his selection to come good today.

Abbas is a low bounce specialist . Low bounce coupled with sideways movement. Thts why he does well in Eng sometimes where the bounce is not as high as other SENA countries.
 
Taylor will enjoy Yasir more. Rizwan doing what Azhar and Misbah did with fields for Yasir. Pretty poor.

Williamson... didn’t he get out to Shadab in CWC19? And nicked off Tahir too (SAF did not review). Don’t know if there is something there.

Same here but this is the reality of Misbah never learning and repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
 
I don’t understand pak fans here. This pitch will ease out. I don’t think Pak batsmen will struggle here. They will put up a good fight.
 
Yasir resorting to type and handing out easy boundary balls.
 
Not to be the person who’s like “this loss is a blessing in disguise” but there’s a new selector coming in, these performances can help make some of his decisions easier.

Misbah spent his career unlearning and now wants the same for PAK. Sad state of affairs. And then we have Waqar complementing this sage.

Yasir the great spinner has yet to beat the bat once
 
Lulz at all the tight run rate detailed discussions. NZ have bossed us this entire session and we're content with little mickey mouse victories.
 
As usual. We will have a very poor hour at some point during the test. Either lose 4-5 wickets or give away lots of runs. Enough to lose the match.
 
Pakistan can't keep playing Yasir just based on his UAE record. The amount of times he has let the team down with his clueless first innings bowling is ridiculous now
 
Naseem Shahs pace and older ball can be a lethal combination but can't count on him to continue to ball the good deliveries

No chance. Southee, Boult and Wagner will make this pitch look like a totally different one to what Pakistan are bowling on now.

We have a very long tail. 150-5 will become 180 all out.

Step number 1 of Misbah's test match strategy is to play Yasir at all costs.
 
Since when has Naseem every looked threatening. Was poor in England and looks very ordinary here as well.

Watch southee and Boult dismantle our batting line up
 
I'm sick of seeing Yasir in the line up, especially away from UAE. Is there no other spinner in Pak

I think he can bowl faster, it might be something to do with him coming back from injury or being instructed to bowl within himself.
 
Pakistan should not be worried about NZL bowling attack, they are not world beaters like aus or india. I think we can tackle nzl if we play with our hearts and mind.

Can care less he has not shown anything since he has come in...these are the best conditions to bowl in the world and he has been gun barrel straight half pitch volleys

International cricket is not a place to learn, clearly this is all about ego and unearthing the next Wasim Waqar so Misbah can say he look how great was my selection...not gonna happen game has moved on
 
New Zealand have managed to give just 2 wickets in 2 sessions after being put into bat. Fair and square. We need something special to keep them under 300 here.
 
England scored 350 plus in the 1st innings last here but still lost by an innings,lol such a flat pitch.
 
Unfortunately our bowling is poor. And looking at the bench consisting of Sohail Khan, Musa, is not giving any hope. Now it is desperation stage for Waqar and Misbah to 'hope' Naseem becomes blockbuster.
 
Only Shaheen is world class and he's showing it once again. Well bowled lad, just don't get into any injury or controversy and you can get a lot of wickets in your career.
 
Shaheen got the wicket at a good time I feel. The new batsman would have to keep up with the accurate bowling.
 
Man I hope Shaheen stays committed and fit, he's already a joy to watch and still has so much potential cricket ahead of him.
 
Need to keep on mixing short balls just like Shaheen did it before Taylor’s dismissal
 
Now Rizwan, make sure to attack now. Now is the time.

Naseem, if he’s got an ounce of his hype, should be fired up to go from the other end. If it’s Abbas then he must bowl straighter with Rizwan up at the stumps. No reason to let Nicholls settle.
