Hard to blame the players tho when your board has you playing one pointless ODI series after another in the SC and then organise just one two day warm-up game in NZ ahead of the Test series. NZ in their last tour to SL got to play the LO leg of the tour before the Tests so the least SLC could have done is to organise at least one four day warm-up. Pathetic stuff really.
